Bills a rumored suitor for Kareem Hunt trade

Njoku actually performed pretty well last season, albeit in limited snaps.  He really improved his blocking.  I’m sure that any team trading for him would require signing him to an extension as part of the deal.  Heard he might be heading to NE for Gilmore, but that might be dead now with NE signing a TE.

Hunt is an elite back.  He’d easily be worth a day 2 pick especially considering that he signed an extension and has very reasonable salaries.

I don't know the exact definition of "elite" back.........but what Hunt has done the past two season in Cleveland has not been anywhere close to that.

When I watch him I keep expecting him to do more with the opportunities.   To make those plays he made in KC.

Decades of watching football tells me when you see that over a couple hundred carries.......that's what you got.

From an analytical standpoint.......4.2 yards per carry represents exactly "replacement" level for a RB.

His Y/R numbers in the pass game are way down from KC too.

I like Njoku.........I'm a Hurricanes fan.......saw all of his games........but he's a tough fit on this roster as an "upside" option.........especially when Dawson Knox is kinda' like a rich mans version of him already.    They need something different more than they need two similar ones.

Just citing ownership might not readily dismiss lady kickers as easily as you.

I’d be less willing to dismiss it if there were at least some sort of finding that he did something wrong, but that’s just me.

Hunt has averaged 4.2 in BOTH his seasons in Cleveland.

Not just last year.

Hence the 2 year averages.

Again.........have the 10 year olds do your math smartazz.

you never said JUST CLEVELAND.  Stop making it personal. don't attack the person attack the topic. compare ONE YEAR or compare career. thats how it works.

I would rather just draft a RB with speed. I guess if they want like a 6th rounder and Singletary I'd be okay with it.

That's where I am at.

Joe Marino did a mock draft and said there should be a speedster back available in the 5th round for the Bills, can't remember the kids name.

Plus taking on Hunt= more money against the cap.

He can still get quickly to the edge.  Honestly that is all I care about at this point - someone who can make the defense run side to side - McKenzie is okay at that but he runs the same play every time for the most part (either the quick pitch or the fake quick pitch).  Hunt adds more versatility in that he can run up between the tackles, catch passes out of the backfield etc.  But the basic role is the same - move the linebackers side to side to open up the middle of the field a bit.
