Bills fans being mad because the KC game was chippy is Ridiculous!

So you think Diggs getting suplexed and Mongo punched in the helmet is chippy? The late hit on Allen when the game was out of reach? That to me is not chippy, it’s the officials making the game into a complete ***** show. It would be like if the NBA called fouls for barely touching someone in the regular season like they do now but then in the playoffs went back to allowing Jordan era fouls of elbows to the face and kidney punches.

The transition from the regular season to the playoffs should not change that much.

Can you send me a link to that Fortnight tourney.

Exactly! Obviously these incidents were not the reason the Bills lost, but they most definitely should have been flagged. Doesn't look to good on the NFL imo.

I don’t care much about Gronk either, I’m just making the point that some fans are rooting against KC because of dirty plays. Brady is a cheat and Gronk committed one of the dirtiest plays I’ve ever seen, so I didn’t understand how some Bills fans are all about the Bucs suddenly. To each their own, I just find some of the Brady love around here kind of gross.

Like I said, it’s an excuse.  A bit of recency bias too.  People was TB to win because the Bills just lost to the Chiefs

The Bills were pretty chippy themselves at times.

I am not offended by it. The Chiefs have a few unlikables on their team, for sure, but have you checked the Tampa Bay roster? Brady, Gronk, Brown, Suh, etc. They are full of unlikeable characters.

Yeah they were. But I think it was for the most part retaliation.

I seen the banter on here about KC being too chippy.

Then I go on Twitter tonight and I see 3 videos by Bills fans saying they won't root for KC because of these plays!

A trip to the SUPERBOWL was on the line. I'd expect the game to get a bit chippy.  I'm just tired of the whining.  This is football.

If the shoe was on the other foot and our guys on D are feeling confident enough to act like that, I'd be thrilled and would have spent last week researching tickets to a Bills SB game.

They were better and more physical and deserved the W.

I'm tired of Bills fans whining about these type of plays!

My favorite part of that video is how Feliciano got dominated after the whistle in scrums just as much as he did trying to block.

Maybe KC was chippy on purpose and felt it would get the Bills a bit off their game.  Case in point - when Diggs was lifted then slammed in the first or second quarter.  Seemed a bit off after that.

agreed. The fact that the refs had to early on in the game talk to Reid about this stuff speaks volumes.

they crossed some lines early— like the body slam and the punch. That is more than being “chippy.” That’s like Suh territory.

I hadn't heard that about the refs talking to KC.  Can you provide a link or more info?

I think both teams are unlikable.  As a Bills fan I havent forgot Gronk's elbow smash on Tre.  I also think the Chiefs were classless in throwing punches, and tossing our two best players to the ground after the whistle blew.  Not sure how anyone can cheer on a team that employs both Tyreek Hill and Frank Clark, but its also not my place to try and determine that.   I hope they both have become better people, and have left their mistakes in the past.

That said, I hope the Chiefs lose on Sunday.  I dont think they will, but I hope they do.

I want Bills fans to despise everything about the Chiefs. Its Buffalo's biggest obstacle. Its not the Pats or Tom Brady anymore. Chiefs are the new playground bullies of the NFL. Mad about being chippy? Ha,  I wish we had bashed their collective faces in.

I'm not sure everyone gets it...

There's a fine line between between chippy/physical and dirty, and the chiefs crossed that line multiple times. I hope the Bucs wipe the floor with them.

There is a fine line , i agree.

I honestly see 1 play that was dirty, the Jones punch.

I would have loved to see our defense slam Hill like that for example.

I am all about "chippy" in any sport.

It makes things a lot more interesting, and it's nice when the millionaires involved in modern sport actually get emotional about what they are doing on the field.

The NHL is now a big love fest and the utter antagonism and grit that used to be a part of every game is long gone from the league now, except on occasion.

Remember the good old days of hearing about an altercation in the pre-game warmup!?  2 guys talking to each other on either side of the red line, after someone shot the puck at the other team's goalie or something like that....with a buzz of "watch out on the opening face-off, this thing is going to boil over quickly tonight!"

I LOVED that stuff and miss it dearly.

I would rather have seen the O-line help Josh out just a bit instead of watching guys rush past them in pursuit of Allen over and over.

When you let wild dogs through the door, you don't get to yell at them for chewing up your valuables....

The Rob Rays of hockey are truly something special.

Big lineman throwing hay makers at each would be awesome to watch. Coaches may not think so

Allen > Mahomes in the octagon. Its not even close.
