McDermott is a Mon through Saturday coach

Recommended Posts

When McDermott came to Buffalo, it felt like a breath of fresh air. He brought discipline, a no-nonsense attitude and a fundamentals first approach to the organization that had just weathered horrific coaches. There can be absolutely no denying McDermott has the capacity to coach players up and make them play better, both on a technical individual level and as a member of a larger team. But what bothers me most about McD is that on Sunday(or, game day) he lacks killer instinct and has sub par game management/in-game adjustments. Are we stuck with a coach that cant rally the troops and deliver in big games? Where is the urgency from a defensive coach when his unit gives up 500+ yards? Where is the disciplinarian/no-nonsense McD who tells Poyer "that's not you, you can lead these men" after he mentally lapses on that penalty?  How concerned are you guys about this?
