What China thinks of us

Shortly thereafter, the Chinese Communist Party’s familiar euphemisms for U.S. power all began to point toward a belief that the Trump era was not merely contributing to American relative decline but accelerating it. “Multipolarity” was now frequently deemed irreversible at the very highest levels. The “international balance of forces” was said to be “increasingly balanced.” But most importantly, and only one week before Trump’s inauguration in early 2017, China debuted a new phrase to guide its strategy—one that inverted a Qing dynasty-era statement of humiliation into a Xi Jinping-era statement of ascent: The world was experiencing “great changes unseen in a century.”

Your takeaway from a link and article quote is something about me? Why are you not interested in the ideas and wish to make this personal? I see China as enemy no 1 internationally.

On the article, do you think our division is not something China sees as weakness to exploit?

What the??? Donald Trump didn’t elect himself!! The American people elected him to shake things up and to break stuff. He threw his hat in the ring against a host of establishment Republicans and the most loathed woman in America and he won against all odds while being severely outspent in the process. He is the byproduct of the mess this cabal has made of our government. FOUR MORE YEARS!

The Chinese Communist Party has proven over and over again (from way before Trump’s time and with numerous countries) that you can’t trust their words; even “and” and “but”.

I’m less interested in what China says about us. They obviously think they’re ascendant and everyone else will need to play their game. I’m more interested in what we do about China.

Hoax.  The American people picked a different candidate.  The electoral college selected the don.

They must be loving the fact Trump is hurting our alliances with other democratic countries. I see that the EU has put sanctions on Belarus and Putin's gang but the US is just not involved.

United We Stand

China is a democratic country?????

I think china should worry about themselves and the wuhan flu they spread throughout the globe. Who cares what a 3rd world country thinks of us.

There's nothing worse than a butthurt liberal still denying election results 4 years later. You even bring up your butthurtness in a thread about China. Today I'm sitting back figuratively lighting up a cigar with the knowledge that my greatest hopes from 4 years ago are now coming to fruition. Donald Trump has changed the complexion of the SCOTUS with his soon to be three justice confirmations.

The healthy kind. Once again, 3rd Chair shows his lack of attention to detail. Does anyone wonder why he's so far down the totem pole that he shares an office with the office supplies?

Probably because he puts fealty to country before fealty to president.

It's hard to get Wifi down in that basement office/supplies area his desk is in.

You are really grouchy again today.  Did something happen to trigger you over the weekend?  Maybe you should try yoga, or meditation.

Pangolins are very tasty, but unfortunately may pose a higher risk.

Bat stew is definitely out.

I wonder if Indians refer to us as "cow-eating Capitalists" in their forums.

Dog eating is one of my standards for the modern definition of barbarian.

Do you eat dogs? If the answer is yes, you're a barbarian.

Were you raised on the Andy Griffith Show? If the answer is no, you're a barbarian.

It's all quite simple.

On China, I do but I also think he’s contributing to a fundamental weakening of America.
