You left out the "then" part... then reentered the vehicle. Who knows at that point in time what he could have had in there. He took himself out when he just didn't want to answer some questions and talk with the officials on hand.

Reentering a vehicle isn’t usually punishable by death.

Again. Your emotions are making you illogical. Statistically, if he doesn't resist, he doesn't get shot. Pretty simple.

And statistically, if he is white and resists, his chance of being shot drop even further.

The man that executed Cannon Hinnant was arrested. I can't say whether he was given Burger King (or any other fast food). Is that as relevant as Dylan Roof?

So a killer was arrested? That’s good news. What about the cops that killed Breonna Taylor? We can keep going down this rabbit hole but if you think that was acceptable; I think you’re a bad person.

Not unrelated in the conversation of you go back through the thread. One guy killed 9 people, sent the cops on a 16 hour manhunt, got Burger King and a trial. One guy violated his parole, went to his car and was shot 7 times in the back. Those crimes and arrests were not handled the same.

He didn't even violate parole he hasn't been convicted and I've yet to see anything about a restraining order anywhere. I just don't get why we're all in such a hurry to cede not cooperating with the police = getting shot by them. That seems insane to me.

Now are they going to be a part of the conversation, or will they just sit back and let the common folk do all of the talking?

That’s a fair question but if you follow these guys they lead. I fully expect them to continue on the front lines of this.

Killed rioters trying to assault him. The guy he shot in the head asked to be shot, ironically enough. He also later chased and threw an object (reports say molotov cocktail) at Rittenhouse. Will be an interesting self defense case.

You’re actually defending him?! ? What’s a 17 year old from Illinois doing on the street in Wisconsin with an assault rifle? Just looking for an excuse to shoot unarmed protesters. Two dead and a third will lose an arm.

Could be avoided by not burning down businesses. ?‍♂️ Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

So I'm usually on the side of the protestors but in this case the guy was reaching into his vehicle after being told to stop and he was resisting arrest. The police are trained to shoot in that situation because they don't know what he's reaching for. There needs to be some kind of wholesale police reform but this is not the case to use as an example IMO. It's not like the police in this case panicked in a split second, they followed him peacefully right up until he reached for something out of their view.

Guess that goes for lil’ Kyle here too huh? Since he’ll get life in the pen for playing mercenaries with daddy’s AR.

??

Seven times may have been excessive. I don't get too upset when scumbags get treated poorly.

He's already being hailed as a patriot and hero by the most extreme right wingers. Perhaps he will be a speaker at the 2024 RNC.

Who gives a ***** if its a black guy or a white guy or a green guy... you resist arrest, then go open the door of your vehicle... what would anyone expect.

define expect?

im not shocked he was shot.

I think we shoot too many people and are cool with it if the guy does just about anything wrong.

I don’t think it’s ok to resist arrest. Rarely do I think it should be immediate death.

One can never tell these days. Maybe he’ll get a special dispensation to leave whatever supermax he’s rotting in to endorse kimberly guilfoyle or some ****.

He might. That was his choice.

oh that’s all you have to say? Guy kills two people and maims a third and well, “that’s his choice” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  But the people he killed were “playing stupid games.” People beside you and you clan are familiar with your racist, dogwhistle phases like PSGWSP by the way. Not fooling anyone here.

In the Atlanta drunk driver incident I asked what harm it would’ve been not as aggressively fighting/chasing him. You know, you have his ID, and car... probably not too bad to issue a warrant and pick him up later if he gets away.

people responded that he’d potentially steal cars and kill people driving drunk, or hole up in nearby establishments/homes with hostages. I suspect he’d duck down a nearby ally and call a friend for a ride and then get arrested at home sometime pretty close after instead of fighting over a taser and shooting him.

that we are so fast to fall in comply or die as a standard does worry me. And I do get it’s a hard job done by imperfect people. And force is often needed. But we sure are quick to justify it.

Just a couple thoughts:

1) If the cops tell you to do something, DO IT.

2) If a cop thinks you can shoot anyone in the back (SEVEN TIMES!) and it’s going to end well, you should think again. This had to be headed off before it got to that point.

Mistakes all around here.  What a horrible mess.

Its cool. Ratings are down 20% from last season in the NBA with basically no competition and people with nothing to do as it is. I'll continue not to watch.

they were playing a playoff game at 4pm eastern on a Wednesday during an interrupted season. You don’t see any other possible causes for a dip?
