Not sure it will be a precipitous drop since other regions are starting to bubble up but the main population zones as you mentioned will have burnt out and will start trending lower. I do think we will hit new lows in deaths by time late September comes around.

Big Blitz
So we have HCQ to prevent and use to treat early..... Redemsivar is apparently working really well. And now this: Critically ill COVID-19 patients make quick recovery with treatment RLF-100 TEL AVIV — Critically ill COVID-19 patients recovered rapidly from respiratory failure after three days of treatment with RLF-100, a therapy granted fast-track designation in the United States, two drug companies said Sunday. Geneva-based Relief Therapeutics Holdings AG RFLB.S has a patent for RLF-100, or aviptadil, a synthetic form of a natural peptide that protects the lung. US-Israeli NeuroRx Inc. partnered with Relief to develop the drug in the United States. The first report of rapid recovery under emergency use was posted by doctors from Houston Methodist Hospital, the companies said in a joint statement. It said a 54-year-old man who developed COVID-19 while being treated for rejection of a double lung transplant came off a ventilator within four days of treatment with RLF-100. https://nypost.com/2020/08/02/relief-neurorx-rlf-100-helps-critical-covid-19-patients/amp/ So if that man who had the double lung transplant and developed Covid....if he died, they definitely would be calling that "due to Covid." 1

If Trump gets another term, there's no way they can stall or cover up their crimes -- and they know it. A Trump victory means that the establishment in DC (on both sides of the aisle) are effectively toast. Perhaps only for a decade, but long enough for the rest of us to break free from their grift.

We hire all these idiots and we spend all day defending why we do. I beg to differ. I think the vast majority of the response has gone really well. We never overwhelmed our hospital system. We saw only one area, NYC, hit with really trauma level numbers. The PPE shortage was dealt with in record time. Nobody lacked for a ventilator. Vaccines are on the way in record time. Sure, there have been FORECASTS of all manner of dooms day predictions but NONE of them have come true. Americans are adapting to life with a terribly infectious virus for which there are few treatments but very few people outside of the most physically vulnerable have succumbed to it. And most of those have died because the virus is so new that modern medicine hasn’t caught up with it yet. The only place you’ll find doom and gloom is in the News Media who have a profit motive to sell doom and gloom. Regular Americans are doing just fine! Everyone I meet is smiling and living their lives. 1
Magox
Great interview. Anders Tegnell, Sweden’s top chief who made the risky and controversial recommendation to not have the draconian style government goes in depth about their situation and why they had higher deaths than Norway and Finland. All the things we have been talking about he discussed. Sweden’s differences in migratory patterns, their population density and the role it plays with the spread. He went on to discuss that viewing COVID-19 in a vacuum is a mistake. That he believes the IFR will be somewhere not too much higher than the common flu. Between .1-.5%. He says that it’s odd that countries are still pushing for masks because there is no new evidence that has come out to suggest they help. He also touches on T cell immunities and how they have most likely reached a herd-like immunity. That his only lament is that they didn’t protect nursing homes better early on. And that they were a success. @Doc Brown Have a listen. I think you will see a lot of the things I mentioned he goes in depth with those things. This think you’d appreciate the added perspective 1

When mainstream outlets promote sensationalist stories and headlines, view it with extreme skepticism and do your own research that is outside of the mainstream. They have no incentive that involves the whole truth. Sorry I haven't been here to check the work of the "data" put out by the Twitter mob. Looks like a bogus graphic or some seriously manipulated measurement. The data from TMC (the largest Houston hospital system--one of the largest in the world), which has a lot of data online and was pretty easy to find, looks more like what reasonable people would expect. Bed usage did increase exponentially and it's now on its way down. Their website slices this data a lot of ways but no matter how you look at it, it tells the same story. Let's stop pretending this virus is a nothingburger at the same time we stop pretending it's the end of the world.
