CorkScrewHill
Interview with Marcellus Wiley where he recalls taking Bruce's shoes and there relationship. Nice little story. https://www.wbur.org/onlyagame/2019/11/29/marcellus-wiley-bruce-smith-shoes-dennis-hopper As a bonus it links to the Dennis Hopper / Air Bruce commercial 3 1

MJS
Seems kind of weird to steal a pair of shoes from another teammates locker. He thought that's how he would integrate into the locker room?
Ridgewaycynic2013
Oh. Marcellus Wiley. I was thinking of Marsellus Wallace. “You feel better, m*****f*****?” * Doesn’t look like Mr. Manning does.
Fleezoid
Sad thing is,.... if that pic was now, there's at least 2 penalties. The state of the NFL is changing. And not necessarily for the better.

Oh come on, not all rules are better of course, but protecting QBs, the stars 90% of the time, is sound business for everyone. As are removing hits to the heads of defenseless receivers. And less contacts during camps and practice. I fail to see how NFL football is still not a very violent sport.
Happy
This link has all (I think) of the Dennis Hopper Nike commercials. My favorite in Nike Commercial #2 with Sterling Sharpe...chu chu, man, chu chu. Too bad we don't see these type of commercials any longer, they were...entertaining. https://www.thebiglead.com/2014/11/27/tbt-thanksgiving-edition-bad-things-man/

I don't see how this is a "great" story or how that made Wiley feel like he was now a part of the group. Just seems odd.

I think it's more about how he handled being caught and the social interactions around it. But yes. Definitely not your standard way of ingratiating yourself into a group!
