Seems kind of weird to steal a pair of shoes from another teammates locker. He thought that's how he would integrate into the locker room?

Oh.  Marcellus Wiley.  I was thinking of Marsellus Wallace.  “You feel better, m*****f*****?”

Doesn’t look like Mr. Manning does.

Sad thing is,.... if that pic was now, there's at least 2 penalties.

The state of the NFL is changing.  And not necessarily for the better.

5, if it’s Brady instead of Manning.

That commercial is Solid Gold in Bills Lore. Dennis Hopper played the part perfectly. WOW....#TBT

That's got the hurt ha ha. Yep, that does explain Peyton's neck issues.

Oh come on, not all rules are better of course, but protecting QBs, the stars  90% of the time, is sound business for everyone. As are removing hits to the heads of defenseless receivers. And less contacts during camps and practice.

I fail to see how NFL football is still not a very violent sport.

This link has all (I think) of the Dennis Hopper Nike commercials.  My favorite in Nike Commercial #2 with Sterling Sharpe...chu chu, man, chu chu.  Too bad we don't see these type of commercials any longer, they were...entertaining.

I wouldn’t want Josh being hit that way.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who read that story and thought, "huh?"  The dude literally stole from a teammate.  I don't see how this is a "great" story or how that made Wiley feel like he was now a part of the group.  Just seems odd.

I think it's more about how he handled being caught and the social interactions around it.  But yes.  Definitely not your standard way of ingratiating yourself into a group!

As a bonus it links to the Dennis Hopper / Air Bruce commercial

Did he take a sniff of the shoe and get a crick in his neck too??

I liked Marcellus.  He was a solid player for us and seemed like a good guy to boot.  But he loooves to hear himself talk.  IIRC, his post-game locker room comments always got a lot of play because the reporters would barely have to ask a question for him to get started on another monologue.  I wasn't surprised to see him  in a studio gig post-retirement, and I think he'd do pretty well as a sports talk radio host.
