I thought the story was a mess and they totally missed the boat with the kids' connection to one another. I agree with you. Was very disappointed in that movie also. They sure built it up though, but it was one of those that I disliked. In regards to "Us" movie that is...... Haven't seen the new IT yet. IT the book has a crazy, mind-***** ending. Really hard to pull off in a movie if they're trying to stay true to the source material.
