Did I say a single damned thing about teams saving money, or did you miss that I was clearly arguing for the players to fight for what they can get?

There are two points of view to every discussion and debate. He was pointing out the team's view while still agreeing with you. Did you miss that ?

There are still 56 2019 draft picks who have yet to sign contracts.  Most (as discussed earlier) are Round 3 picks.

Singletary signed (I believe) the same day as all of Buffalo's other draft picks.  That's the only part that causes me any confusion.  If the Bills had a way to sign one 3rd rounder, why were they not able to do the same for both 3rd rounders?

My guess is different agents, but I honestly have no clue.

This is the most updated list I've found (last updated on 5/25/19): https://nfltraderumors.co/list-of-unsigned-2019-nfl-draft-picks/

There are 27 different teams on this list, too.  Take that for what it's worth.

...so is the generic holdup offset language or guaranteed money?....pretty hefty number of 3rds unsigned....

Two trivial observations:

1.  The Packers also have an unsigned Third Round TE, so I'm wondering if Knox is waiting to see what he gets.  Or vice versa.

2.  What's with the Rams?  Are they taking this year off?

I was wondering the same about the Rams, but I've never paid attention in previous years, so maybe this is normal for them.  No clue.  It does seem odd, though.

To those screaming "just sign already", hundreds of thousands of dollars is still a lot of money to kids who aren't guaranteed to still be in the league for a big second contract, it's worth fighting for.

Yes but if you hold out too long it can also damage your career and getting to 2nd contract or finishing current contract.  A player can even miss bonuses because they were not in practice when plays were designed / practiced hence plays changed to not use player.

Dawson Knox has the opportunity of a lifetime in front of him.

I wouldn’t at all be surprised if he is a day one starter.

I thought he's attending the OTAs.

He will be signed by the time camp starts.

Amd yet, just a couple years ago most top picks weren’t signed yet

I am surprised at the number of unsigned draft picks, knowing that a significant injury can occur, even if not working with the team.

i am very surprised at 7th rounders not signing, knowing that they may not ever end up playing in the NFL.

I find it interesting that any player, outside of an active CONTRACT, would be on the field practicing when there is at least some risk of injury.

Jeff Fisher started requiring their drafts picks to get some training about handling the money they are about to get before they actually receive it. I'm assuming they are still requiring the draftees get that training. Should be something every team does.

Once all the training happens they will sign.

While Knox is at OTAs and his final contract is being negotiated he is playing under a guaranteed for injury contract.

This was confirmed earlier.

Best training to ever come out of a Jeff Fischer football team...

He did have some great advice to help his struggling kicker back in the day with this brilliant piece of advice.

"He's got to kick it between the uprights."

Stuff like that is ground breaking.

He should have told Steve McNair not to mess around with crazy chicks.

Too soon?

26 of 32 3rd rounders are not signed......man take a deep breath, it will be ok.  The odds of a 3rd rounding missing training camp due to a contract dispute? Like right next to 0

They sign a contract saying they would still get the same contract even if they suffer an injury before OTAs

Honestly at this point I just want them to figure it out so I can stop hearing about it.

I am only speculating but I would assume that the rookie contract is pretty standard but that the guaranteed money is what would be in jeopardy.

So you're saying it could happen...

...now I'm getting nervous
