We had 29 officially announced visits out of 30

Recommended Posts

I also saw yesterday that Fant was an unannounced visit and he is not on this list so he would be #30. No Hock visit

^^This seems to be incorrect on my part. I couldn't fully remember, but that is what I thought I saw LOL

Yea they have had Fant in so that is the list.

Still think depending on Sweat's health we are between him, Burns and DK.

It took so long to report Fant's visit because he got lost in the facility.

They didn’t have Fant in on a visit that I have seen. They went to Iowa to work him out.

Where did you see the Fant visit reported?

Fant didn't come to Buffalo for a pre-draft visit. We (NYUP) reported Buffalo held a private workout with him. He confirmed it yesterday.

By NOT have TJ in for a visit, is that a clear sign that they are very unlikely to pick him in 1st round and didn't want to waste their time with him? OR... is there a gamesmanship component where you don't want other teams to know who you might be targeting?

None of his visits anywhere were announced. If you end up with 29, the guess would be the missing one would be him - which still applies

Source for Fant's wonderlic score?

The only set of scores I saw had Fant with a 25.  I don't know how accurate the scores I viewed were b/c of the source

I don't know, I'm referring to a report that said several teams removed Fant from their boards entirely...but really I'm just having some fun.

Edit:  I just found the link and he did score a 25...actually higher than Hock at 22!  I wonder why teams don't like him...

Strikes me as interesting how few DT's they brought in. Many of us (myself included) feel we'd be thrilled to pick up Williams or Oliver, or any top 3 technique. Does this mean they aren't so set on adding a DT? Or does this mean they are all in on one of those top 2 guys?

Or am I just trying to read into something because it's the day of the draft and I can't wait any longer...

Makes me feel like we are big game hunting if the value is right and we find a partner to move up. What's surprising is we don't have Jonah,Dillard or Wilkins on that list and lately we have been linked to them. There isn't enough history with Beane to know if no visit means no pick in RD1 or not, we only have 1 draft to look back at. FWIR, both Allen and Edmunds were in last year

Correct

Hard to believe they didn't have Hockenson in, but had private workout with Fant. I bet Hock is #30.

Been saying this too

They kept #30 (Hockenson) under wrap as to not tip their hand

Hock’s agent is the same as Micah Hyde. He’s a very under the radar agent. None of his visits were reported. The teams do not report visits... players and agents  do (and sometimes airport sightings)

Jonah Williams isn't either, be Daboll was his OC in Bama

but how do you explain no visits from Farrell, Wilkins or Lawrence?  Did they meet with those guys at Clemson?

I can't - I assume we went to prodays. Beane only has 1 draft under him so there isn't much data to look at, when it comes to we must have a visit for our #1 pick or not...

I have a feeling we end up with DE Josh Allen, Kentucky. He can easily slide to #6 to the Giants. I can see the Giants wanting to drop a few spots and get their QB Haskins, Lock. We trade a 2nd and a 3rd next year.

1. Kyler Murray

2. Nick Bosa

3. Quinnen Williams

4. Ed Oliver

5. Devin White

6. Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)

That would be nice! Then find a DT late 1st or 2nd.

was tre white in for a visit two years ago? I don't remember. interesting that none of the Clemson guys were here

Beane was not here, Just McD and Whaley and his staff. Tidbit, saw earlier this week that Jim Monos is still unemployed

I know people love Hockenson but the Bills only sent one scout to his Iowa game, and he fumbled that game. Fant got a private workout and Sternberger, Knox and Wesco all got 30 visits. Now it's possible Hockenson is that 30th visit, I'm just not sure.

Anyways, I think people will be surprised when Hockeson doesn't go top 10, I think he'll go in the teens, like Oj Howard. Howard was also suppose to be a top 10 pick and some had him going as high as 4 to Jacksonville in 2017. And like Hockenson, Oj Howard was said to be the "safe pick" and the best TE prospect in the last 10 years etc.

We will know soon enough.
