Kevin Spacey Charged With Felony Sexual Assault, Posts Video on Youtube Today

I remember when people looked down on sexual predators, no matter what they did for a living.

i suspect if he was a school janitor, people would be saying, “cut his balls off” and comments like that.

“He’s a fantastic janitor, it’s ok enjoy his janitoring and not like what he did. I can separate the two.”

But, he chose to live his life as an openly gay man. Drop the damn charges.

I wasn’t aware he was out and actively discussing his lifestyle all these years

not in the slightest

Spacey's orientation was one of Hollywood's worst kept secrets until these allegations surfaced.  Then Spacey "came out" to deflect

A gay co-worker of mine at the time was not happy with Spacey at the time, commenting that Spacey "coming out" at the same time as the allegations only served to re-enforce the stereotype of gays as perverts/pedophiles

Exactly. Most of the gay people I know were pissed because he used as an excuse. As if being in the closet somehow makes it okay. Like it was a coping mechanism and he was the real victim.

"The Globe also reported late Wednesday that both sides in the case now have copies of the video, even though Snapchat content is designed to disappear eventually. It allegedly shows someone’s hand touching another person’s shirt, but does not show anyone being groped, according to the Globe."

I think it's quite amazing that so many of you respect someone accused of sexual assault.  Eff Hollywood.  Many of you are well aware of my thought of celebrities. And it's not out of jealousy it's from having to deal with them on a regular basis working in many restaurants they frequented.  Because of the idol worship many of you bestow upon them they feel they are above reproach.  I went up to LA this past weekend and drove around the old 'hood.  The number of 8 figure homes up in Bel Air mostly owned by egotistical idiots like Spacey who get paid insane amounts of money to play make believe is mind boggling.

I doubt anyone actually respects them...

It’s like anyone else, you should not judge anyone you’ve never even met. I’m sure some are fine people, and others are jerks....or worse. Being rich and famous would be awful to me (except for the rich part ?).

Not quite exactly apples-to-apples, but Dylan is the greatest because of his attitude, he just doesn't give two *****. Keef was up there until he got clean, lost the glare, and started smiling all the time. Now if you watch that video, I think it's obvious that Kevin Spacey doesn't give two ***** either. I don't respect the creep, but I most definitely respect the attitude.

I get what you're saying, but the big difference is, is what they don't give two ***** about.

Yeah, like I said, not apples-to-apples. I do think attitude helps separates the great from the good though, and I find that video stunning.

Not a big Spacey fan before either, outside of a handful of movies like The Usual Suspects. I never made it past the 1st season of House of Cards.

Again ... I totally understand where you're coming from.  The video made my skin crawl.  Not because of this latest BS allegation; but because he's a pedophile.  It floors me that a pedophile can make a video like that, basically saying, "yeah, you know what I am ... but you also love/miss me."  It's just twisted to me.

But I'm certain that most pedos are arrogant scum like him.  It was just disturbing for me to watch.

I liked Pay it Forward and thought he was great in it.  He's definitely a talented actor; but Gary Glitter was a talented singer/songwriter, too.

Spacey is an incredible actor on screen / in character.  Off screen/out of character he was always creepy.

House of Cards gets better in S2 and S3 as Frank moves up to VP and then President.

The original British House of Cards is worth checking out

Did he rape a 14 year old?  Isn't the entire point of this video to say he did not and that people like you don't know the truth of the matter?

Even if it is determined that he committed some crime, he can still be a good actor.  Those 2 things can exist in the same universe.

I still wonder why Jeepers Creepers got a green light along with Powder.  You think Kevin Spacey and Victor Salva are swapping stories these days?  We say Hollywood but it’s not just Hollywood it’s Priests, Rabbis, Cops, and business owners like Warren Cole who owned Cole Farms restaurant.  People that others tell us to respect until it all comes out in the wash publicly; with a long list of victims along the way.

Sometimes they make them wait a few years before getting to go to the all important Citrus Bowl.

When David Lee Roth was busted for minimal possession in Central Park his appearance on Howard Stern was punctuated with David reading a statement from his lawyer about how serious this is and was not to be made light of at all

Minimal possession of marijuana not child porn.  Little bit of low hanging fruit to tarnish and diminish someone’s name.

Even a showboating clown like  DLR knew to STFU, he didn’t pull this dumb stunt

But it’s OK because he’s from a different spectrum of the political movement. If he was, for example, a conservative actor or actress he’ll be all over the news getting grill but that’s not the narrative they want to tell us and that’s a disgrace.  The fact that this stuff is even news is a sad reflection of the state of our nation and what constitutes journalism and media.

came out of your way to point out that your made up news story would get more coverage but that a household name accused of a crime shouldn’t get coverage in the first place

A story is generally considered 'news' when it makes the largest newswire in the history of the planet, or did we both just not read a story about Kevin Spacey on the AP?
