So, have the prosecutor question Kavanaugh for the R's while the dem Senators questioned him? Not hardly. It was the committee's job to hold the hearings (investigation) not the FBI's job. The one week postponement was just a bone to throw the dems, who were trying to stall as long as possible. Having Pelosi as Speaker is a double edged sword. Because they would rather have questioned her, but they couldn't because of Flake's requirements. Why shouldn't they have used their prerogative to pursue as much of the confirmation hearings on normal grounds as possible? Also, the confirmation hearings are not criminal proceedings. Kavanaugh certainly has the right not to have his confirmation hearings treated as such, rather than to be questioned by a freaking prosecutor, right?
