Some sick part of me is excited to see peterman go again...

I wonder if he's contemplating getting out of the game by stabbing himself in the leg like the guy from Platoon.

Peterman is the only player whose interceptions you could turn into a drinking game and actually have a hangover in the morning.

Maybe I'm sick...sadistic or a glutton for punishment...I cant put a finger on it.  Bit here are a few possible reasons why anyone would want to watch peterman this Sunday.

1.  Holy *****...there is no way of could get worse could it?   I mean he really has no where to go but up right???

2.  The meme and gifs monday after another epic fail will be hilarious as *****.  That's always good times.

3.  Part of me is rooting for Gurley to outscore us this year.  (Dawgs fan)

4.  Can anyone say number 1 overall.

5.  Can the bears D score more points than our O for the second straight week?

6.  What's the record for sacks in a game?  He's going to he so gunshy we may find out.

7.  I just feel bad for the kid.  He has no right being out there so I hope he doesn't suck too bad.

What am i missing?  And in case there are people who dont see the humor in this.  It's a joke thread.  Ha

This is game #1 of the Peterman and McD redemption tour!

The only way I can give myself a shred of hope vs. Chicago is that Peterman has played "not horrible" at New Era Field.  His epic games against the Chargers, Ravens and Texans have been in hostile stadiums.  His- not killing the team-  outings have been at home vs. New Orleans (in garbage time) and the Indy snow game where he actually got the Bills a lead.

Its honestly more exciting than watching another Anderson game.  I've seen enough to know that he belongs in the film room, and on the sidelines, not on the field.

Peterman has been so bad, that im excited to see if there's a chance for some random redemption - or another disaster.

I have to say I'm curious to see him play as well, I mean he cannot really be this bad.   He's made some terrible throws, has he learned nothing?   We're not going to do anything this season anyway, might as well let him get out there and try.   But Daboll has to modify his playbook.   Nothing to the sidelines.   Quick passes, lots of run plays.    Just like with the Patriots game, the clock is the enemy so eat as much of it as possible and keep the game close into the 4th quarter.

You can go to the sidelines, you just have to ya know... time it right, and read the play.  The pick 6's he's thrown have been to receivers who are either not open, or the throws have been late.

The one in houston - i saw nothing to think that that guy was open.

Hopefully Edmunds is back - they need to play zone in this one, - and they may want to spy trubiskey, or figure out the best way to keep him in the pocket.

his throws to the sidelines are always late.  And he telegraphs them by staring down the WR.   These CBs have learned to bait him into those throws and jump the route.   Now would a solid hitch and go with a pump fake equal 6 points??? I like to think so.   I'd like to think that Daboll and McD have thought of it too.

I just wouldn't take it off the table.  I'd run the routes, make people play off soft coverage trying to anticipate the throw and figure out other ways to beat them.  Be it out and up/hitch and go, or just double moves to get the corners turned around some.

You would think they would have Tre really school Peterman on it in practice so he doesn't screw it up in the game.

For his own sake, I really hope he can block out all the negativity and stop overthinking himself on the out.  He needs to finally put the pressure of his previous outings to rest and just play football. Right now, Peterson is his own worst enemy.  He needs to stop trying to hard to prove people wrong and let the game come to him. At this point we know he is going to experience a few jail breaks with this OL.  He has to adapt. This one is on Daboll and Peterman to figure out a strong second option for the inevitable break down in protection. The finally started using mcCoy properly against NE. We need to execute a game plan that takes Mack into account every play.

Citing a Fairy Tale to illustrate how hope is not an evil thing...

That's like the 3rd time in 3 days someone hasn't understood that I was agreeing with them.

Hope is a word that means nothing. It's a non-commodity commodity that's been sold to rubes since the beginning of time.

Apparently sarcasm doesn't translate well on a message board.

I think McCoach may have ruined Peterman by clearly starting him before he was ready last year against the Chargers.  It did not help that it appeared that certain members of the line may have demonstrated their upset to TT's benching by not (how shall we say) putting in their best effort.

Having said all of that, I REALLY hope that Peterman has a good game and REALLY hope that the crowd gets behind him (and continues to support him). Peterman seems like a great guy, and I would hate for him to be ruined as a serviceable NFL back up QB by what has happened to him thus far.  In fact, even if he is never on an NFL roster after this season, I would hate for his lingering memories to be interceptions and pick 6's.

I remember watching him in that game against Clemson and being very impressed with his poise and play notwithstanding that Clemson had so much more talent. I still think he can be salvaged if managed properly.

Again, I hope that the crowd supports Peterman and does not turn on him during the game.  It would be great if he could regain his confidence - which is so important for an NFL QB.

I think it's the alcoholic in you that wants to see him play.
