You know, in 2016 I felt bad for the Bernie Bros when he betrayed them and took the settlement. In 2020? Naw Bernie showed them what he is. Fool me once...

Atta boy, A Dalek.  Don't let Bernie opt for lower standards or a personal payday.  Let the name of Bernie Sanders mean being a chump if he quits or continues to be soft on Biden.  Sanders chose to be a candidate for President so he damn well had better see it through to the convention.  Maybe Bernie's followers can convey this in no uncertain terms.  May the adulation that Sanders seeks and cultivates permanently fade away if he gives anything less than his best.

I doubt it.

He would be smart to hang in there till Biden's (inevitable) major misstep

and hope for a brokered convention.

Why go back to the Senate anyway ? They're not doing anything (except adding judges)

Team Bernie: Full Steam To The Arizona Debate “All The Moderates Are Panicking About”

After an evening of almost unrelenting bad news, Bernie Sanders finally found a bright spot from Super Tuesday II — a win in North Dakota’s caucuses. That state only put 14 delegates on the table, or about a tenth of the delegates at stake in Michigan, where Joe Biden won handily, but it at least interrupted a narrative of complete collapse. Briefly, anyway.

When Sanders declined to speak last night after the results came in, some wondered whether the outsider candidate had decided to stay outside for good. Not yet, his campaign began assuring reporters early this morning:

Some Democrats are calling on the party to treat Biden as the presumptive nominee after Bernie Sanders overwhelmingly loss in Michigan on Tuesday, arguing the race is decided and the party should instead focus on beating President Donald Trump, but a Sanders campaign spokeswoman implied the Vermont senator will at least stay in the race until the next debate on Sunday.

After Biden won Michigan, Briahna Joy Gray, Sanders’ national press secretary, tweeted, “I, for one, am extremely excited about this debate all the moderates are panicking about. The delegate count difference is only about 150 points out of 4051 total. America finally gets to see Biden defend his ideas, or lack there of, on Sunday.”

He's already calling Joe, "His Friend" and after Biden clobbered him last night he flew home to Vermont.

Not that it matters, Trump's illegal presidency is swirling the bowl

As I suspected Sanders is treating his followers as chumps for the SECOND time.  Anything less than the convention for a Bernie Bros means burning all Bernie memorabilia in a public display.

If he can't win, he can't win, it's that simple. No need to burn down the Democratic party over this. They do have a country to govern, ya know

Everything I see revolves around the DNC NPCs saying it's time for Bernie to hang it up.

That would be very unfortunate, because if Bernie can just wait for the next debate, you can almost give even money the world gets to watch Biden's dementia. And then Bernie can take the wheel before someone gets hurt.

He owes all his followers an honest effort meaning taking it to the convention or until the money runs out.  Bernie is not a Democrat and his followers do not believe in the moderate wing (small as it is at present) of the Democratic Party.

I fear that Bernie has already been bought off.  That dirty old commie SOB and his supposed high ideals.  No audience for this Sunday's debate means the party is free to do all the propping up of Biden that they can imagine to do.  The DNC will not let even a fake showcase opportunity for Biden go so Bernie stays at least until next Monday.

Harris would be a MAJOR mistake for the Biden campaign to make. She's viewed as being a "cop" and thus not progressive enough. Joe's already going to eat ***** on the crime bill and his (many) gaffes about black folk -- adding Kamala whom black folk didn't rally around would only make those weaknesses bigger.

It'll also do major damage to Harris's long term career path. She'd be better off rejecting the offer if it's made.

I still think Clinton rises up out of the swamp to stand beside Biden as the VP candidate.

i'd be willing to bet he does.  the question then becomes how disaffected do the Bernie Bros feel and will they riot or do something even more stupid.

So what, exactly, would a “return to normal” look like under President Biden? How would a mix of grudge-carrying Obama loyalists and untested socialist newcomers govern since it’s unlikely Biden actually will be in charge?

This is a shortlist of what Biden and company promise to revive:

A time when the news media fawned over a Democratic president, covered up his conspicuous corruption, and instead blamed any malfeasance on the underhanded machinations of his Republican foes.

A time when the permanent Beltway “expert” aristocracy, now exposed as hostile if not subversive to the broader interests of mainstream America, ran the show.

A time when it was not only acceptable but heroic for the president publicly to condemn the rulings of a federal court—including the highest court in the land—without demands for apologies.

A time when the plight of “kids in cages” was ignored.

A time when the political punditry class of the Left and Right wasn’t “exhausted” from doing their jobs, i.e., keeping close tabs on the White House, challenging the truthfulness of statements made by the occupant of the Oval Office, and questioning the travel expenses, furniture costs, condo rental agreements, Christian faith, or marital well-being of various presidential aides.

A time when phone calls between the president and world leaders remained classified information and, God forbid, were never exploited for political gain.

A time when daily press briefings were cordial affairs—devoid of sexist grandstanding and frequent outbursts by ostensibly objective journalists—with plenty of jocularity between the president’s spokesman and swooning members of the White House press corps.

A time when the Justice Department, State Department, Central Intelligence Agency, Director of National Intelligence, and a secret spy court operated clandestinely to execute a political hit job with nary a raised eyebrow from the media or a member of Congress.

A time when a British operative could act as both an FBI source and a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch while planting negative stories in the media weeks before a national election and no one considered it meddling or “interference.”

A time when a scandal-plagued president and his administration could claim they were “scandal-free” and the brainwashed news media regurgitated that provable falsehood as fact.

You get my drift.

She couldn't mobilize voters four years ago, why would we choose someone you guys obviously want?

It would be her choice and you guys be darned if you did not want her.  If the Democratic rank and file really had a choice you guys would not be stuck with Biden, Sanders, Clinton, etc..  You would be seeing the future for the next 25 years with prospects from Congress and the various governors from your party.  Don't you wonder why your party is doing the vigorous recycling that it has been doing for the past few years?  Names that don't excite a wide swath of the party. That "Not Trump" is the best that you can do?

I'd be very surprised if Biden picked Harris, but given how she got where she is politically, I'm sure giving Biden a hand isn't above her pay grade.

Chelsea. She would skip the whole carpetbagging Senate or House run, and go straight to the number 2 spot setting her up for President.

Bernie speaking now...sure doesn’t sound like he’s quitting.  Sounds like he’s an angry nut job, but not quitting.

Calling Trump a "religious bigot" at the top was especially rich.

Glad he's not dropping out. Force Joe to debate. Force him to defend himself.

Bernie is not forcing anything.  Obviously, Sanders and the Dems came to an agreement on a price to stay in.  The debate will be manipulated to make Biden look good and don't be surprised if on the surface that Biden has a good debate.  It will set the narrative for next week's news cycle right into the Sunday morning talk shows and the weekend liberal college professor roundtables.

I know that you are kidding but there are two things blocking that.  One, Hillary thinks that it is still her turn.  Two, even Hillary in her most delusional state knows she can't sell Chelsea to the public fresh from the boardroom of the Clinton Foundation.
