McDermott's inept in-game decision making throughout last year signaled him as a pretender at the HC position. His consistent treatment of the offense has revealed him to be yet another coordinator masquerading as a head coach. To to see if he could be a serviceable backup and to give Allen extra time to acclimate. Because of a a handful of aging vets who will be replaced next years.
