Lets say 21 for 32, 238 yards, 2 TD’s and 1 pick. Come to think, that would be a better thread than what are the chances he throws 5 picks. Perry Turtle Posted September 5, 2018 Share Posted September 5, 2018 The Bills spent a bunch of high draft picks to select Allen, but they basically buried him during the preseason in favor of playing the QB who played the worst half of football in modern NFL history. If the Dolphins or Patriots did something like this, I doubt that this board would respond positively to the move. McDermott's rep is on the line here. If Nate coughs up 2 or 3 interceptions in this game and the Bills lose, McDermott's going to look like the most stubborn HC in the league or the most clueless. Id expect national pundits or fans to have a chuckle as they dont have the exposure to the Bills we do... but as Bills fans this is just kinda insulting. Luckily, 57% of us seem to agree. Keep in mind that the game he threw 5 picks in he had 0 reps with first team players an was going in cold against a top defense. . Oh an Farve threw 5 Interceptions his first game to. Nate is not a Farve by any measure but neither was Bret Farve at that point. It would be great for him long term if he can put some decent tape together if he's going to stick around the NFL for more than his rookie contract. Maine-iac Posted September 5, 2018 Share Posted September 5, 2018 I think there is little chance he repeats his record breaking performance but how many picks do you think he needs to throw to guarantee that this offense will not be able to overcome the turnovers. I think 2 picks is pretty much a death blow and I could see him doing that frequently. I'm not even a Peterman hater. I just see him as an all or nothing, the ball is coming out and someones going to catch it, type of QB. It's just a matter of who is standing there when the ball gets caught. IIRC, NP was named the starter & practiced the whole week with the 1st team offense, it was after TT disaster the week before...I think it was after the Saints game.
