so true, wow.

and yes agree, but sadly I think the red scare could turn into red fever then.....

Imagine if Joseph McCarthy had Twitter and social media back then.

My God we're a different country at this point. McCarthy was so much smarter than 45.

It's just too bad it was the perfect storm to get him into office.

It is about respect for the institution of the presidency. Liken it to someone handing you a payoff check for your mortgage and you slapping it away because you knew he were a dolphins fan. Totally over the top derangement...

We just lived through 8 years of "Obama is a Muslim Kenyan terrorist not born in the USA," part of which was trumpeted most loudly by the man currently in the White House. Respect for the institution of the presidency has been gone for almost a decade.

STRONG. He is acting like a BOSS!?

So sick of spoiled petulant brats masquerading as role models for our youth throwing hissy fits just to get attention. Getting invited to the White House is one of the greatest honors for an American. I didn't agree when Tim Thomas pulled this stunt, and I don't approve now. As much as I disagreed with President Obama, if he invited me to the White House I would accept in a heartbeat and thank him and even hug him when I got there. Meeting and shaking hands with the commander in chief is one of the greatest honors an American can receive, no matter your political stripes.

Well, there's the whole thing where Barack wasn't a misogynist, a bigot, completely unqualified for the job, an attention whore, illiterate, rude to dignitaries during visits and the most hated president of the country by the rest of the modern world. Other than that I can see why you wouldn't want to visit him.

He is a reality show host who became president. Every now and then it sinks in again.

....yeah, so unlike that saxophone playing illegitimate offspring hillbilly "Guv" in the early '90's on MTV.

Yeah I remember this one time one of my coworkers broke a rule, so my boss made all of us put our heads down with the lights out for 15 minutes. Or was that my kindergarten teacher?

Well, at least since Trump took office.

Must be another revelation coming in the Mueller investigation, or some other embarrassing gaffe on the part of this administration is about to come out.

Might have lost you. Are you saying because he's popular that he's a good president? He's not. He's an embarrassment who took power at the right time as it was lined up with an upturn in the economy which he feels correct in claiming credit for. But,... this is a ppp discussion really.

President Obama wasn't rude to foreign dignitaries?  He made the prime minister of Israel leave out the back door and walk past heaps of garbage bags! (It may have been his first visit to the white house.)

How was he qualified for the job of president? He was a college professor and no show senator!

He wasn't the most hated, but he definitely was very polarizing, just like President Trump!

Oh and P.S. you are DELUSIONAL if you think President Obama wasn't an attention whore. Or not paying attention for 8 years. Coin toss.

Two sides that think they’re right

Yep.  There's no debate just pure hatred for the opposing side/view.  It's been escalating and escalating and now will be our full blown demise.

I wonder what warned us about that.....

I kind of agree with Trump here. The trip to the white house is basically just supposed to be a photo op. Why would he give the players the opportunity to use it as a platform to express their political views if he is opposed to them? You know the media would have been all over who wasn't attending and why. He can't control what they do at the games (despite his best efforts) but he can control who comes to the white house.

He's a good president because he's a good president.

I respect the men and women who fight in our wars.  I admire those who protest wars they do not believe in.  I do not admire or respect a coward who hid from service and stands for nothing but himself.
