Kyle Orton on the Wall of Fame...yes or no?

It doesn't require any more explanation. You've had your fun. Mods, can you close this down- it's clearly not a serious topic.

And I'll keep shouting it from the 300 level..."I take winning seriously". So having a winning season is a serious matter. Did Pat McGroder deliver us a winning season? Did he throw for 3800 pre-extrapolated yards? Did he give our fanbase a glimmer of playoff hopes? I know he was important in the front office and marketing in the 60's but he never sacrificed his back, head, arms, legs or liver for the team. Next thing you'll say is Russ Brandon belongs on the Wall. It's frustrating that some of you can't see the distinction here.

Was that a screenshot of the 70's porno Deep Throat?

Easily could have been for sure. That was after he got the nod to start over EJ, Week 5 2014. Pulled out at the road win in Detroit. Then that picture surfaced of the team waiting for the bus afterwards... Friggin' epic.

“He's a leader,” Watkins said. “The whole time we're going through adversity, he's in the huddle, going crazy and being Kyle. He definitely knows what he's doing as far as breaking down defensive coverages. He knows what he's doing with the ball.”

Gugny & Fergy bumping til they puke.

I see you are as well. When someone mocks the subject matter (Orton) or argues against him being on the Wall, should I just keep quiet? This is America last time I checked...I can protest your hating on Orton as much as I want. I just choose to back up my argument with stats.

You're right, this is America. That means we have the right to tell you we don't agree. This means that you have no right to speak about it. I think that the constitution says that somewhere. Edited by DriveFor1Outta5

The fact that this isn't common knowledge is an indictment of the education system.

If you think your argument was logical, you're delusional. I am not fun at parties because I don't agree with stupid comments? Ok.

Instead of calling names, why not provide some specifics to help us understand why you don't think Orton belongs on the Wall?

No one pissed in the sinks in Atlanta but the flokr still had urine everywhere

Oakland would be better off with Orton calling the plays in the huddle for the next 2-6 weeks. Only downside is it would delay his addition to the wall.

why would you bump this thread? Go back to BBMB! We need better mods, we used to have a few good ones.

OP and Gugny lost any and all respect I may have had.

Trolling and bumping a worthless thread is pretty childish.

I didn't realize I garnered your respect in the first place. But I have an idea to smooth things over: if you would simply acknowledge that Kyle Orton has "a chance" to make it on the Wall given what he was able to accomplish, then we can move forward in a mutually respectful manner.

You do realize, sir, that every time you post to complain about bumping .... you're bumping .... right?

This is what it takes to get to mutual respect? Acknowledging the absurd?

Orton has ZERO chance of getting on the wall because:

  1. The defense carried the offense that year.
  2. He wasn't here long enough.
  3. He wasn't good enough while he was here.
  4. The Slide (what became his signature play) was embarrassing.
  5. He wasn't the reason we almost went to the playoffs.
  6. Almost making it to the playoffs is not an accomplishment.

But almost winning a super bowl (four !@#$ing times) makes 10 players worthy.

Odd.
