Should the NFL do away with the national anthem?

People, IMO, tune in and go to the games to get away from real life. I imagine most don't want politics mixed with football/sports.

What do you all think? Take away the stage for players to protest or it's good as is?

No way do we take that away- what, so we can slowly errode away our country bit by bit? It is such a small percentage of players against it and I would say 90 percent of fans want the anthem- its called pride and love for our country. Next lets ban all veterans from the game cuz maybe a libtard doesnt want to sit next to us.

And stop flybys by the Air Force. And ban the colors red, white, and blue. And force the Patriots to change their name.

Hundreds of thousands of people gathering everyday, showing no allegiance except to their own selfishness.

At the same time, people a lot poorer and younger are getting blown up and shot to death and burnt alive to keep them fat and happy.

The fat mob keeps asking for more, more money for their stadiums. More money for their drugs. More medicine because they're eating themselves to death.

Yeah, why not?

This is the kind of leftist liberal propaganda that's chiseling away at the foundation that made this country great. What's next? Remove all borders? One world currency? Take down Mount Rushmore? Outlaw bacon? Please don't take away our bacon.

...succumb to the progressives on yet another bastian of this country....."In God We Trust" is out.....now we are attempting to erase history, ugly or not with any remnants of the confederacy..a once proud nation founded on laws, tolerance, respect is now swirling in the American Standard..."I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." means **** today....and as a WELL respected law enforcement official Beast, I'm shocked you would offer up the suggestion......succumb to players' stage?...seriously?.......we are already becoming a 3rd rate cesspool so why cave to these minions?....

First Mr. Trump, thanks for joining TSW. It's a great place to "banter". Second, the National Anthem is in no way a political song or otherwise political in any way, shape or form.

The National Anthem is a tribute to those brave men and women who currently or have served and/or given their lives for the freedoms we have gained. One of those freedom's is the right to assemble, the right to bare arms, the right to speak freely and the right to protest.

Let us not do away with the very foundation of what this country was founded on or what this country continues to fight for every moment, of every day across the globe.

Go Bills and God Bless the United States of America!

Listen,, I'm a vet and retired law enforcement....you won't get an arguement from me but I will be honest.....I'm tired of hearing about this **** when I want to watch a football game.

Some people shouldn't have the right to "bare arms".

No the NFL needs to do away with the idiot players who are protesting. If they can't show the courtesy and respect and decorum required for the playing of the national anthem then don't let them on the field until it's over. They don't deserve to be out there to even hear it.

yea, why not? let us keep chipping away at traditions , because i for one , do not want anyone "offended" .. to me that is of utmost importance .. Screw a small show of patriotism.. let us all just watch the country morph into pablum eating, unquestioning progressives

Keep it. Period. If people want to expose themselves, let them. (Wait....that didn't sound right...)
