When we resigned Groy, some got the feeling including myself that Wood days were numbered. We have Lewis at backup Center, who has starting experience. Groy, can play both G and C. Both make significantly less than Wood and are 5 years younger than he is. I like Wood and felt he was playing his best ball before the injury last year on that chaotic Monday night game. Groy stepped in and had a rough go of it during the Seattle game but after that, he played well and the drop off in play wasn't really noticeable. Williams, I think it has been stated previously in this thread that McDermott wanted him back and he is a need for this defense. So Williams getting cut hasn't even crossed my mind. I think Yates will move the ball consistently. Tyrod will make plays with his legs but between the tackles can he stand in the pocket and deliver the ball 45 times a game?
