Squirrels kept getting in to his garden, he wanted to do something about them, his wife kept telling him "No, they're cute. Leave them alone." Then the squirrels started eating the corn. HER corn. So then he got permission from his wife to do something. He bought an air rifle, and spent an afternoon on his roof picking off every squirrel that entered his garden. He killed about two dozen squirrels before the police showed up to investigate neighborhood complaints about "a guy on his roof with a rifle." (Note: this was before 9/11, so they didn't call out SWAT.) To quote my friend: "I'm a trained sniper, it was plunging fire...I don't know what their problem was!" Ummm...yeah, you're not wrong, but that's also not the point. But as it turned out, what he was doing - picking off squirrels in his yard, from his roof, with an air rifle - wasn't illegal. So all the police could do was write him a citation for hunting squirrels out of season. Which prompted me to ask "Wait a minute...College Park has a squirrel season???" He ended up burying the squirrels in the garden. As I understand it, the corn was particularly good that year. that's why i love a farm. i can shoot squirrels any time i want. i can shoot damn near anything any time i want as long as it is considered a pest or nuisance. now that !@#$ all state agent who wants me to tear down my deck because its unsafe despite being like it was for 16 years with a giant hole that the previous owners had a hot tub in... well, i have to move to put up new stairs and rail for them. i asked if i can just bolt the doors shut. they said theyll look in to it. and i have to make sure the old deck won't be able to be seen in the photos. i asked if it was a glamour shot, they said it's regulation. my stairs will have a sign on them "stu from all state consents to sucking truck stall dicks by photographing this" because stu is coming out to do this and did so without my knowledge. this out of a bigger bucket or barrel i jjust shoot'm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
