Brady's Legacy

Recommended Posts

How anybody could say Brady is the greatest quarterback every is beyond me. He is the greatest quarterback in the modern era of football where you can't touch the quarterback without drawing a flag, where you can't touch a receiver beyond 5 yards without drawing a flag. Place Brady back in the day of Elway, Kelly, Marino, Montana, etc. and lets see what kind of numbers he puts up.

I count 15 AFC East coaching changes between Mia, NYJ and Bills in Belicheck's 13 years at NE. Why? Because none of the other teams were able to find a franchise QB who could consistently battle Brady. I hate the Pats*, but humbly bow before the King.

TB = GOAT!

Let's take a trip down Cheaters memory lane:

01 SpyGate year, video taped Rams walk through *W

03 SpyGate *W

04 SpyGate *W

07 SpyGate exposed L

11 L

14 DeflateGate *W

16 W (let's wait for leaks & rumors become confirmed)

Not to mention the outside of cheating the last two titles were basically won by the other coaches incompetence.

01 Rams walknthrew has been PROVEN not to have been taped and the only story retracted.

Spygate was about WHERE they video taped NOT that they Video taped.

Deflategate -- a joke of an investigation and anyone with an IQ knows had nothing to do with them winning..

But hey stay salty my friend!!

The QB's you reference and the era they played were cushioned by no salary cap and little to none Free Agency. Thus, they all had brilliant wide receivers who played with them for many years. Rice & Taylor, Clayton & Duper, Reed & Lofton. It is what sustained their excellent careers. None of that exists today. Only Brady can take interchangeable slow, little white guys and win like no other before. Thus, if Brady played then, he'd have still been fantastic because the Pats* would have Stanley Morgan, Irving Fryar and Russ Francis/Ben Coates.

How anyone could say otherwise is beyond me.

It's dumb to compare players across eras for any number of reasons, but something tells me Brady would be just fine if you plunked him back to 1992. First off, he'd probably be the biggest QB in the league, what is he like 6'5", and a big guy who, as he proved last night, can take a hit.

Because on the most part people hear talk football without placing their heads up their collective butts. I also been on this thread for awhile....

Listen, Brady is the GOAT, and was before yesterday.

To say the Pats don't break rules is just silly.

Anyone with an IQ would understand deflategate was not about one game. And there must have been a reason they did it...it wasn't cause it gave them a disadvantage.

quitcherbitchin. They* were fined hundreds of thousands of dollars, forfeited numerous draft picks and endured suspensions for their numerous transgressions. This isn't a publically held entity. It's a very small rich persons club who makes their own rules. You break them, you pay. End of story.

I was more or less talking about the stupid Rams walk threw part.. the Spygate (was just reminding people what that infraction was lol) as for deflategate ugh that one for some reason still ticks me off... (probably because the hole destroyed his phone thing makes him guilty. like people never heard of the cloud.. lol)

It was MILLIONS of dollars lol.. and Kraft can afford it.. and your right it is a billionaires club. now if you ask anyone who is a true Pats fan what still bothers them. It isn't the loss of picks or money but the railroading of Brady with no evidence. (Which was pretty much made rock solid Up here when Goodell lied in his appeals findings.)

This was not a court of law...it was an NFL investigation. Unless Brady agreed to it, those texts WERE NEVER seen, cloud or no cloud. And yes, all Wells wanted was for someone to look through the phone with Brady present and show texts to/from the two other knuckleheads ...and guess what..they were never seen.

The ghost of Peyton Manning pantsed last years mvp Cam Newton.

Trubisky Watson Mahomes rivers or Romo would be a start.

Yeah, one of those rookies should do it.

Manning had an epic Defense. The Bills are light years away from that with their current player/coaching talent level on D.

Awesome that you whiners had to watch that last night and eat some more crow. Been saying it here for years and will continue... I am a diehard, season ticket holder of the Bills and a few years ago I completed the steps in the stages of grief and came to accept what is undeniably true, this is the GOAT. You can cry about Spygate, you can cry about deflategate as your weak ammo but at the end of the day, year after freaking year, this guy has delivered, sadly in our division, the best performances we will ever see. The anti-Brady guys who didn't sleep well last night, woke up angry in the middle of the night like we do when the Bills choke away a game, you're wasting your time and emotional capacity on something so frivolous and wrong. And let me be clear, I hate his whining tactics, his stupid commercials, his Uggs, his wife, his Trump support (make him a garbage human being alone) but I will never deny what he is or not appreciate his drive to win, be the best, hatred of losing, and his unbelievable abilities.

Now can we just have him retire for f sakes!

So enjoy your weak crybabies.

boom

I say those texts were seen based off the evidence that the text between Bray and a friend was leaked to the media by someone in the NFL. (No real proof otherwise but very compelling evidence IMO) One thing I never understood is they had the two knuckleheads phones (they were Patriot issued and Brady's was not) sonwouldnt any texts between Brady and them be on it and if you thought maybe they deleted them (which seeing as how they had YEAR old texts I doubt that.) youbhad access to the cloud check their old texts. There was no clear need for them to have his phone. IMO it was a smoke screen for the public to say "look he didn't give us his phone he is hiding something" when we all know texts go both ways and they would have had those texts already from said knuckleheads. ( I have a hard time believing Goodell and the NFL after the lie on the appeal findings and letting the false PSI numbers that were leaked by the NFL to stand for 7 months.)

That said I do believe the two idiots did something. I think they did it after Brady layer into them when he got a 16 psi ball against the Jets. They were peons and this was Tom freakin Brady so they knew if it happened again their ass was on the line. So is it really a stretch believe they did it just to protect their jobs w the Patriots?

How many times were Brady and Ryan "touched" last night? How many flags were thrown as a result.

This continues to be the dumbest comment people make about the good old days vs today.

Brady's legacy- the qb of a team that was caught in spygate, deflategate, Someone who destroyed his phone as evidence during one of these scandals, a guy who voted for trump, and a guy who won 5 Super Bowls because his coach, bb, and the mastermind, Ernie Adams, cheated like hell

You still have to make the plays. Edited by PromoTheRobot

Didn't read it did ya. I even said the two knuckleheads probably did something. (You can't even prove that since well they have no proof of PSI being below normal from said game.) I was saying the one thing bother apats fans is how BRADY was rail roaded. (I nean we all saw the dumb ass 2 psi crap for months. Meanwhile that was a LIE. We hear about Not having Brady phone or texts, but yet the NFL leaks said text about Manning that Brady sent a friend. If they had that text how did they not have access to his phone? The Goodell Lie in his Appeal findings. ( a fact easy to look up) anyone who thinks they (I mean BRADY) were guilty and that's that never bothered to look deeper than the headlines. The courts found that because of the CBA THE COMMISH COULD SUSPEND YOU FOR EATING THE WRONG PEANUTBUTTER. Nothing more..)

I think the conclusion i came to was that those guys did deflate the balls. And I just think there's no way people are messing with Tom Brady's football's without his say-so.

Probably a dumb reason to assume guilt, but that's just my thought process.

I get that! I think they were messing with the balls because he would fire them if he got a 16 psi ball again. So in a way was with his approval as he wants the balls X PSI. Mind you, even at "more probable than not" it is not a 4 game suspension..

You don't smash a phone over deflated footballs. There was more going on that he was covering up. That said, as juiced as I believe Brady is, juicing doesn't make you more accurate or cool under pressure.

Hmm that's possible! I am not going to deny that. (I think most players are juiced.)

Serious question, has the NFL ever run a good investigation? Even bountygate seemed poorly done.

Manning was juiced up to the eyeballs by the end and couldn't fling the thing more than 5 yards.

You think brady is juiced? I don't know, he isn't jacked at all and he is known to take ridiculous care of his body. He also has the best work ethic in the league. I wouldn't be shocked if he was juiced up, but I would be a bit surprised

Get out of here with your Trump bashing. I'm sick of people like you just arbitrarily insulting anyone that voted for him. You have deep issues of intolerance.

Brady is unique as a football player but there are a lot of guys who are 40 and in incredible shape.

The difference is most football players are damn near crippled by then if they are still trying to play, or they got soft and lost their edge to train, eat right, etc. by then.

It takes a type of commitment to exercise, nutrition, rest, etc. that almost nobody can keep up that long. Kudos to him.

Now let's go beat them at their best next season!

The myth of his "diet" keeping him from obtaining injuries at an advanced football age is one of the biggest crocks of pseudo science I've ever heard. A great diet can help with overall health and staying youthful, but it's not going to always prevent injury from high impact collisions. Brady gets rid of the ball so fast, and refs protect him like a baby. That's the secret, at least all of it that we know. Edited by DriveFor1Outta5

I know, this board is quite sickening right now. I can't dispute the Pats results either. I'm just personally not in any mood to write about how amazing the Pats franchise is. Apparently not everyone share my sentiment.

The refs always do in the Super Bowl. Remember the Giants games? It's just the other 18 games he plays you're not allowed to breathe on him. Do you remember some of the insane roughing the passer penalties we've been charged with against Brady over the years?
