And Mike G. And Sammy. They probably don't mind losing so much, But they aren't trying very hard unless they bench those guys. Bills will kill the Jets on the ground. TPS Posted December 27, 2016 Share Posted December 27, 2016 What this does: - Protects the Bills options regarding Tyrod - Lets the Bills/Lynn/Whaley have one last look at EJ (will help decide his future here as well) - Let EJ have an opportunity to 'try out' one last time before hitting the FA market - Protects Cardale from being thrown into the fire when he isn't ready, and will possibly be learning a new offense next year anyways All in all, a safe move. I don't see how anyone can be upset about this. Well reasoned. The people upset were biased in a particular way, and it's very easy to spin the moves toward one's bias. Manuel's contract is up and he is not as good as Taylor. Some here are no doubt looking forward to celebrating drafting 13th instead of 17th -- as if that will change things. I may be wrong, but if TT gets hurt we owe him the whole contract(at least next year?) and lose the ability to renegotiate a newer team friendly contract. If he is willing to negotiate a new deal. One more thing: Who cares? The game doesn't mean a damn thing, except draft position. I think I can find something better to do for those 3-4 hrs. this Sunday. You're neglecting to mention that he has only one lost fumble in two seasons. He has seven total, but at least a couple of those were harmless ones when he was going out of bounds. Why bother? Both teams have waived their respective white flags and the Jets quit playing three games ago. Not really. An interim HC is also being show-cased, and he won't let them lay an egg. Let's see what he can do with a season of understudy let's see if he can muster up anything we want to keep. He can be our backup. Thinking Jones is the answer is hilarious. These folks, you folks, though Kolb, Thad Lewis, Tuel, and dude who went to the Cowboys were the answer too. Jones may one day be good enough to play in the NFl. But wont be next year. How many times did we see this offense fail to move the ball. Taylor showed flashes. But he was also downright awful for extended stretches. Too much unknown to pick up essentially a 3 year option for a guy who might not get better and cant delivery in crunch time.
