The Taliban took credit for an attack in Kabul, Afghanistan, Monday as negotiations between the insurgent group and the U.S. came close to reaching a conclusion, the Associated Press reported.

Interior Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahmi confirmed to the outlet that the target of the blast was the Green Village compound in the city.

It is too early to know how many casualties resulted from the attack. At least 34 wounded people were taken to the nearby Wazir Akbar Khan hospital alone, according to AP.

U.S. imposes sanctions on Iran space agencies

The United States imposed sanctions on Iran’s civilian space agency and two research organizations on Tuesday, saying they were being used to advance Tehran’s ballistic missile program.

The U.S. Treasury sanctions targeted the Iran Space Agency, Iran Space Research Center and the Astronautics Research Institute, according to a statement on its website.

“The United States will not allow Iran to use its space launch program as cover to advance its ballistic missile programs,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement.

Iranian oil tanker nears coast of Syria as captain refuses to cooperate with delivery, sources say

The Adrian Darya 1, the Iranian oil tanker that the U.S. has pursued for several days, is now fewer than 10 nautical miles from the shores of Syria, intelligence sources tell Fox News.

The captain of the vessel, Akhilesh Kumar, has been refusing to cooperate with a planned oil delivery and has asked to be dismissed or replaced, the sources added.

You'll notice that Trump tends to negotiate from strength while Obama tended to acquiesce.

Right.  That tweet will set the Taliban straight.  Thanks for telling all of America you invited the Taliban to a weekend at Camp David a few days before the 9/11 anniversary.

You're missing the point. Instead of coddling the Taliban and reaching a deal at any price Trump is saying FU to them because they are violating any agreement before it is even being consummated. Seriously, you bring 9/11 into this? Why?

Because Camp David is where are leaders met to plan an attack on the terrorist groups responsible for the killing of 3,000 Americans 9/11.  That includes the Taliban supporting Al Qaeda. Just even offering an invitation to Camp David is pathetic and doing it a few days before 9/11 is even more pathetic.  There's a reason you keep these meetings secret.  Just a dumb tweet.  Did he just discover that these people were bad guys.  The same people that you know support terrorist organizations that boil people alive.

By this logic, Egypt and Israel should still be at war.

You'd be better going with the Mavis Leno/Hillary Clinton argument that we should break off all contact with the Taliban because they're mean to women.

Brooks Brothers suit: $1,698.

Tasteful red tie: $110.

Leaving Andrea Mitchell without words: Priceless.

It's a short clip, and totally worth a minute and twelve seconds of your time.

At the end of the clip in which former SecDef Jim Mattis utterly destroys the MSNBC-approved narrative the President Trump is hurting NATO by asking member nations to beef up their defenses (???), Andrea Mitchell responds like this:

[BRIEF SILENCE]

Well...

[STRAINED THOUGHT]

In your resignation letter, returning to that...

Give them time. The left will seize on his comment that they've been paying more the past 4-5 years to claim it was all Obama.
