Funny how we don't hear about the plight of the Puerto Ricans when the media cannot bash Trump.

Must be because the liberal media is racist and doesn't care about brown people.

They could still bash Trump.  Three out of every ten people still don't have water!

They don't, because the story cycle is over, and they've moved on.  We'll next hear Trump sucks on the 1 year anniversary, then 2 year...then when Trump's out of office, at the 5 or 10 year mark, we'll hear how "the country" has abandoned the Puerto Rican poor...

This has already started. Currently trending #1 on Facebook are a bunch articles attempting to smear the Trump administration and the left just eats it up. Rebuilding Puerto Rico, lowering taxes, these are not things that the left will EVER report on.

Trump is a babbling brook of stupid on occasion, but the results we've seen outweigh that for normal people who aren't as wrapped up in fanatical partisanship.

How the Trump era is changing the federal bureaucracy
Washington Post, by Lisa Rein & Andrew Ba Tran

Original Article

Nearly a year into his takeover of Washington, President Trump has made a significant down payment on his campaign pledge to shrink the federal bureaucracy, a shift long sought by conservatives that could eventually bring the workforce down to levels not seen in decades.By the end of September, all Cabinet departments except Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs and Interior had fewer permanent staff than when Trump took office in January — with most shedding many hundreds of employees, according to an analysis of federal personnel data by The Washington Post. The diminishing federal footprint comes after Trump promised in last year’s campaign

This is the 2nd time I've been surprised by the somewhat positive tenor of a Post article towards the president.

Power has been largely restored, and clean water is no longer a major issue, which in an of itself is very impressive given a near zero percent access rate with almost 100% of all infrastructure destroyed only 2 1/2 months ago.

In addition to that achievement, the Federal response has included directing nearly 1b in personal aid to individual victims through FEMA, and restoring the decimated ports allowing the rebuild to begin.

To give you some idea of the scope of the project, a close friend of mine was a project manager with Gilbane when the Jersey shore was devastated a few years ago.  The logistics weren't anywhere near as challenging as attempting to deliver aid to a island with no ports and no other access, and the rebuild took years.

What, exactly, is your expectation?

What the media narrative does do is give the 150,000 Puerto Ricans who had to relocate to Florida a reason to vote Democrat in '18 and '20.  Donald Trump tweeting some stupid thing about Puerto Rico having terrible infrastructure before the hurricane and threatening to pull FEMA, the military, and first responders gives the Dems all the ammunition they need.

I said a couple of weeks ago that Trump is doing a good job (especially if you're a conservative), but his approval rating would be so much higher if he just stopped tweeting.  He's reined his tweeting in the last couple of weeks and his approval rating is up.  Discipline Donald.  Discipline.  You could be the next Reagan for the conservative movement.

@SouthernKeeks

The latest annual report (2016-2017) from @PPact just came out. According to them, their revenue was $1.46 BILLION and they ended the lives of 321,384 individual unborn persons.

1. Don't call it reproductive health care.
2. Don't tell me they're hurting for cash. #Defund

Revenue of $1.46 BILLION … BILLION. And they continue to insist they need money from the government? Not to mention they have openly admitted 80% + of their revenue comes from abortion

ACCOUNTABILITY: Trump budget chief shuts down consumer ‘protection’ bureau ‘slush fund.’

“CFPB, the brainchild of Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, collects fines from financial institutions and spends it on victims and educating the public on its mission. Millions of dollars have been set aside for the education funding. But the agency has been secretive about who gets the money.”

North Korea. He was gonna stop their nuclear program. He was gonna stop their ICBM program. Nothing. The Chinese played him like a fiddle. Trump is easily outfoxed.

North Korea has been pulling crap for decades and getting away with it. Trump has been more forceful than the previous several presidents. He hasn't even been in office for a year yet but you feel he has failed because he hasn't solved the problem yet. Somehow I get the feeling that you'd be pissing and moaning even if he cured cancer and solved world-wide poverty.

Yes, his tweets have been quite effective. The world is very impressed that we’ve a very stable genius handling things....and we DO have a genius handling things. And that man is James friggin Mattis.

I don't disagree with you about Mattis. He seems to be the perfect choice. As far as Trump goes, the world wasn't impressed at first with Reagan either.

South Korea’s Leader Credits Trump for North Korea Talks

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/10/world/asia/moon-jae-in-trump-north-korea.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur

SEOUL, South Korea — President Moon Jae-in of South Korea warned on Wednesday that North Korea would face stiffer sanctions if it resumed weapons tests, while crediting President Trump with helping force the North to resume dialogue and strike a broader agreement to improve Korean ties.

“I am giving a lot of credit to President Trump,” Mr. Moon said at a nationally televised news conference a day after the two Koreas forged their agreement during border talks. “I am expressing my gratitude.”

Too bad he isn't on top of the korean situation as the Dude is............................

If you think that highly of Mattis, ask yourself this. Would a man like him work for a mentally unstable "retard"? Would Mattis really take orders from that kind of man or waste his time serving under a threat to the nation he's his entire life spent defending?
