Â Probably for the same reason they demand getting extra rest before one game a year against the Bills. The Patricheats have struck gold in past - Antowain Smith is an example who became a very good workhorse back for them. Â Antowain was the same for the Bills as he was for the Cheaters. Â Â Belichick is way past his prime at evaluating players and to a notable extent as a game planner as well, IMO. Â He's basically late 1980's Don Shula at this point. Â Their trajectory is about the same.......won SB's with great defense and a keen feel for chemistry and how to get away with a little cheating.......then adapted his style to the passing game as it became more important with tremendous success but ultimately less success in the SB. Â Bad judgement wrt personnel(and assistant coaches) ultimately undid Shula and it's been a weakness for BB for quite a few years now.
