A network exec is the only guy in the world who can't accept an offer to an owner's box?

Why not?

You don't think it's kind of funny that he only seems to go to Pats* games and was just caught on camera openly cheering for the Pats*? He represents CBS, which has the AFC contract. Shouldn't he at least TRY to appear objective? Then again, we already know that (a) Kraft sits on Viacom's board and (b) CBS has an investment in Patriette Place. No conflicts here!

Patriots bring more viewers. Of course he's rooting for them.

Let's go Broncos--let's give us one more Brady* vs Manning (with hopefully a different ending than we've usually seen--not playing in Cheaterville should help),

SOmehow the steelers will win Sunday and the road to the SB will again go through Foxboro!!!!

it's OK, Jim Nantz will ball-wash Manning like crazy tomorrow to balance things out.

Andy Reid is such a horrible playoff coach. How can they waste so much time?

And why onside kick? They had three timeouts. Kicking it away and stopping them was a higher percentage play than an onside kick.

Terrible.

Yep. Andy Reid. :lol:

@sprowespn

Tom Brady pressured on only 4 of 43 dropbacks (per @ESPNStatsInfo). Zero sacks.

@profootballtalk

Edelman's game-clinching first down should have been reviewed

I'll be curious to see what kind of fine Amendola gets... hoping he gets suspended for a game for that hit but at the very least he should get a hefty fine Tuesday morning.

Good gif of the hit... man, filthy.

Filthy? Are you kidding me???? That is a great gif. Amendola's helmet never makes contact.....watch it yourself.....the other player's helmet never moves until Amendola's shoulder pad make contact under his chin strap. That is damned near a text book tackle. Amendola's helmet contacts the other dude's shoulder pad and vice versa.

This crap has gotten out of hand where now just a simple hard jarring hit results in people demanding suspensions.

Filthy helmet to the shoulder.

It has nothing to do with helmet to helmet contact. Spearing is still a penalty in the NFL, and that was the definition of it.

Spearing requires the crown of the helmet, he made contact with the patriot logo.....it is so not spearing that it could be used to teach what not to call as spearing. Forget the uniforms....or don't...if this is one of our boys everyone is bitching that we get hosed on every call.

He launched himself with the crown of his helmet, that's the rule.

It wasn't spearing. Where do you come up with this stuff?

And tell us what is suspendible there. Still waiting.

The crown is the top of the helmet....you know where the stripe is on most team's helmets. Does Amendola have a patriot logo on the top of his helmet?

I understand what the crown is. He launched himself with the crown of his helmet. Whether or not he makes contact with the player's helmet is irrelevant.

oh googly moogly....note the bolded part!!!!

A penalty called when a defensive player makes a tackle that leads with the crown of his helmet into the offensive player. If the initial contact occurs at the top of the helmet, the tackle is illegal.

Nothing is suspendible for your favorite team. If a guy made a hit on Brady the same way you'd be calling for a jail sentence.

Amendola could have broken his own damn neck. He's an idiot.

Whether it's a suspendible act or not aside, he's lucky he didn't break that guy's neck, the hit was so high.

As you'll see from my other post, I worry more about the Chief player's neck. This could have been a real Darryl Stingley moment-style tragedy.
