What show to start?

The Underdog

I was just about to ask if anyone has started it. I'm hoping it is better than Luke Cage was. For me, that one kind of dragged on a bit after they mixed things up a bit at the midpoint.

I'd say it's better than Luke Cage so far. Still not as good as Daredevil or Jessica Jones though. I do think the recurring characters is pretty cool. Rosario Dawson is in all of them, and Carrie-Anne Moss makes another appearance.

I'd like to retract my previous statement re: Iron Fist. I thought it started out well, or maybe I just liked it because it was a new character that I was not familiar with but the last few episodes just seemed to dragggg on. The second half bad guy (no spoilers) just didn't do it for me. He wasn't believable as being a true threat to Danny, IMO. Also, guy's coming back from the dead several times...blah.

I've never read any of the comics but the show just didn't do it for me.

Seems like Marvel hit it out of the park with Daredevil but has been slowly declining ever since.

I'd put Jessica Jones right up there with Daredevil. Both of those shows really brought their A game with the main villains. Cage definitely lacked there and I'm starting to get the impression that Iron Fist is similar. I haven't started it yet though.

Yeah, I liked Jessica Jones too, but I loved Daredevil.

That Punisher fight scene in jail was pretty epic.

Artie seems to be ready to pack it in, follow him on twitter and he keeps making comments that indicate his time is soon

Just started watching Crashing on HBO. Comedy series produced by Judd Apatow about an aspiring comedian in NYC. I don't want to give away any more, but it has been pretty good. Nothing too great, but worth a watch. Artie Lange looks like walking death.

I'm 4 or 5 episodes into Iron Fist. I'm not seeing all the hate for the character that I've seen so often. It makes sense to me. He left the real world when he was a kid and now he has no idea how it works. He's still very much the kid he was before the crash... except for the crazy ninja skills.

Yeah I didn't get the hate, but I think it would have been cool to see him go through all of his training (perhaps that will be a later season like a flashback). The biggest complaint I heard was that most people hated the fight scenes, it wasn't as good as Daredevil or Jessica Jones imo but I still liked it overall

As I said, I liked the start but the second half of the series just didn't do anything for me, especially the Harold plot line and Bakuto.

In Treatment on Amazon. One of my favourites. Gabriel Byrne is an analyst/psych in private practice

I'll second this. I loved this show. I thought it was very well done. I could see how some people wouldn't like it though. I recommended it to a friend and he was like, meh, not for me.

no! for real? baby gorilla?! :(

when he left it was the essential end of the stern show as it had been forever. he made the show great. jd might be the only thing entertaining on a regular basis there. and the more they lean on takei the more boring he gets. it was just too much with jason ellis the other day.

My wife just got me watching Fortitude on Amazon prime. Highly recommend it. Set on a small island off Norway and strange things begin happening. Has Stanley Tucci and Michael Gambon in it. I went through season 1 the past 3 days (12 episodes) and just starting season 2, which is as far as it goes to date.
