buffalover4life
Skelton didn't cross my mind, Mario is not consistent and never will be and is therefore not worth the money he just won us this game. You don't need sacks to be considered consistent.
Buffalo Barbarian
Yeah, we don't beat Carolina and Miami without him. So if 2 wins before the halfway point of the season isn't making a difference in your eyes, well, I don't know what you expect. I get the feeling that if you were a Denver fan you would be on their forums criticizing Peyton Manning. wrong, I wanted Peyton but that's a whole different conversation. You guys are forgetting that I didn't say he had a bad game, it's just that he doesn't play like this game in and game out. There is a reason why there isn't a Mario appreciation thread every week. 3putt
Mario was player of game as far as I'm concerned He had help from a few vets, i.e. Freddy, Stevie, Marcel and Jairus among others. It is tough to win on the road and the vets showed the new guys what it takes...all good.
tito1
Joe Buscaglia basically said the same thing on the John Murphy show and that guy watches more film than anyone. I don't hate Mario I just don't see the greatness and when he leaves this team it won't make a difference one way or the other. Joe B is awful and is a "know it all" who watches lots of film but I'm sure has never played a down in his life. He's a Monday morning qb who thinks he knows football cause he watches the all 22 all week long

Show me any defensive end who wins games for his team week in and week out. Of course he's not worth $96 million, nobody other than a quarterback in this league will EVER be worth that type of money but I can say this, I'm glad he's on our team. Astrojanitor
I swear some of you people will never be happy. Mario is having a great season and doing exactly what he was brought in to do. But it seems some people on this board only root for their own insane opinions to be validated instead of the Bills

Bob in STL
Although Mario had a good 4th quarter and got a sack at a critical moment in the game I think FJ deserves the most credit. RevWarRifleman
Tremendous 4th quarter by him. He is the main reason we were able to pull of a victory late today. Early in the game I saw him just throw Johnathan Martin like a rag doll. Dude is a beast and is finally healthy. 10 sacks in 7 games. Tremendous Huge game for him. Good post by the way. He deserves the props.
Max997
Did you see him miss the sack on the final Hail Mary? HE COULD HAVE COST US THE GAME! Everything he did in the game and that's what u concentrate on? How many other defenders missed Tannehill on that play? Give Tannehill credit for keeping play alive but Bills wouldn't have won without Mario today. Completely ridiculous statement yep, 1 good game a month Expecting him to get multiple sacks a game is beyond unrealistic Even if he isn't getting sacks he demands attention which frees up other players Edited October 20, 2013 by Max997

(and I gave him props for it, if anyone wants to check) I know, right, in the 4 games between those he only got 3.5 sacks and played well vs the run. I hate ends that have sacks in only 5 of 7 games and 2+ in 3 of those The dude only has 17 sacks in his last 16 games (ie exactly a full season since the wrist surgery) Edited October 20, 2013 by NoSaint
K-9
Skelton didn't cross my mind, Mario is not consistent and never will be and is therefore not worth the money Assuming you are actually watching the games, know what you're seeing, and have an appreciation for the position, I have to seriously question your football acumen, here. He's been the most consistent player on our defense since his first game with the team, wrist injury and lack of eye-popping sack numbers, not-withstanding. GO BILLS!!! K-9
Not getting a sack his first two weeks really destroyed his reputation. Since then he has an eye popping 20 sacks in 21 games. Well, even in terms of sacks then, he's been consistent. But even in the absence of sacks, nobody on our team plays the run better, nobody is more stout at the POA, and nobody else gets more pressures, all the while garnering the most attention from opposing OCs. And it's not like he enjoys the luxury of playing with big leads in games, especially late. GO BILLS!!!

He needs to play more consistently within the division. "Super" Mario gave Tannehill one last shot because he couldn't wrap him up the last play of the game...."Elite" players have another sack there and don't give the other team a chance to win. That was a bigtime whiff. the dude was chasing him hard, and tried to get him He had his arms around the QB and he still got away - you mean to tell me Tannehill is stronger than super Mario?? Mark Vader
Earned his paycheck today! He doesn't get enough credit honestly. Leading the league in sacks and he's never mentioned in pro bowl discussions or rated as one of the best pass rushers. Can a $100 million dollar man fly under the radar?
