He definitely has all the physical tools to be a good CB, he just needs to up his "Football IQ" to take the next step. The majority of his mistakes come from mental errors, IMO.

Definitely agree. The Bills really did well running up the middle today, and Wood looked very good manning the Center position. If Wood keeps it up(pun intended) for the remaining three games, I'll bet we will see a Levitre-Wood-Urbik interior line, with Hangartner backing up all three positions.

This way, Evans can go from being "figuratively" invisible on the field to "literally" invisible on the field.

http://www.pokerlistings.com/online-poker-bill-could-be-attached-to-obama-tax-cut-plan-29659 The passing of this bill would force sites such as Pokerstars and Full Tilt from operating in the U.S. for 15 months before they can obtain a license. The online poker community has been trying to get poker legalized and regulated in the U.S. for many years now, but I don't think this is what they had in mind.

Eric Wood to start at Center this week.
Special K replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well....I think Wood's natural position is at center. This is a good point in the season, even though it is out of necessity, to give Wood a try at center. If he excells there over the next 4 games, I think it would be easy for the coaching staff to make the move permanent,IMO. Who said anything about swapping Hang and Wood? It would be more likely that Urbik would take over at RG next year(if healthy) if Wood moves to center. I could live with a Levitre-Wood-Urbik inerior line with Hangartner backing up all 3 positions. -

Hopefully, this will be a permanent move to center for Wood. -
The photo has been mysteriously changed.....let the conspiracy theories begin.

Let's not forget a top-line RT....I guess that's a lot of needs, but at least it seems that the team is headed in the right direction for a change. -
How does Andre Johnson get so open?
Special K replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People around here always equate Lee Evans to #1 receivers such as Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson, which IS absurd. You support my point that Evans is not those guys, but I suppose we differ on the point that IMO Evans is a one trick pony that is barely a good #2 receiver.....he is a lesser version of Peerless Price in his prime. -

Yes....Andre Johnson is actually a legitimate #1 receiver. -
Its a shame Roscoe P. Coltrane broke his wrist this year...Jackie Chan was the first coach to get him involved in the offense.

Saw that as well, funny stuff. He got a lot of publicity for his big game vs. Cincy, and even more for his drop on Sunday, and it seems he's gained even more fans for his postgame press conference. A lot of my friends love Stevie Johnson, and none of them are Bills fans...its crazy how he's becoming a household name around the country. Anything to bring attention to the Bills is a good thing, IMO. -
Next time, cut the Vicodin in half before posting. Although, I think I may be calling Fitz "Fitzgibbons" for a while due to this post.

Thank you. One of the key traits of a true #1 receiver is his ability to consistently beat double teams. Calvin Johnson and Andre Johnson are double-teamed, yet they still are able to put up big numbers. How often do you think Eric Moulds was double-teamed in his career, yet he found ways to get open. Evans is a #2 at best.

Stevie seems truly devastated about his drop in OT, and I'm glad that he cares that much. This guy is on the verge of being a consistent playmaker in this league, and I hope the game he had today does not shatter his confidence. I know Fitz won't go away from throwing the ball to his #1 receiver next week, but Stevie needs to be ready to bounce back in a big way. Learn from it, put it behind you and come out ready to play next week. GO STEVIE!!!!!!! -
Not excusing Stevie, but.......

There were about 5 times where the Bills had the game won, but somehow they didn't make the play. Really, what is the difference between being 3-8 and 2-9....its frustrating to lose a winnable game, but I am encouraged by the direction the team is headed....with a few pieces added through FA and the Draft(no QB unless its Luck), these close losses will turn into wins in the near future. -
This is the third game I made a point to watch him, and he seemes to be a very impressive run-blocking tackle. Not to mention the fact that Arkansas flip-flops its offensive lineman from left side to right side pending where the ball is spotted on the field.(He has consistent experience playing both Left and Right tackle) I'm wondering if the drafniks on the board are aware of this guy, and if they think he may last into the second round.... I'd like to see this road-grading RT opening up holes for CJ and FJ for the Bills next year.

After 2 straight Ws what are you rooting for?
Special K replied to mikegamms's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1 I along with you, were rooting for securing the #1 pick to get Luck. Since that is over, I hope the Fitz supporters are right about him because I don't want the Bills to draft Mallett or Locker. Also, I will be rooting for Luck to stay in college for another year so I won't feel too bad about missing out on our chance to draft him. -
Lets add Jones to the list of receivers on the roster who make a larger impact than Lee Evans. And don't give me that he takes away the coverage from the other receivers junk--I believe that if defenses begin to roll coverage towards Stevie Johnson more often, Johnson will still end up with more catches in a game than Evans. Like Gailey said, Johnson has the ability to find a way to get open--its time for Evans to show us a little bit of that, IMO. Evans should be flourishing in Chan Gailey's offensive system just like every other receiver on the roster is flourishing. I'm not suggesting the Bills get rid of Evans, I just want to see him produce at the level he should be.
-
Then waive him the next day.

If Fitz looks horrible vs. good teams like the Steelers, Jets, and Pats(a possibility) the need for a QB would still be a possibility---and since the Bills have played their way out of the Luck sweepstakes, I fear the above scenario will lead the Bills to take either Mallett or Locker--two prospects with much more uncertainty surrounding their NFL prospects than Luck. I know I've been driving the Luck bandwagon around here lately, but since it appears that ship has sailed, I hope you guys are right about Fitz, because the other QB prospects in the draft certainly don't impress me.
