  1. Let me start by saying I love Beane, but this move was a real head-scratcher to me. Aside from the fact that the trade was with KC, the concept of the first trade down made sense....picking up a 3rd round pick was certainly a priority for the Bills and they accomplished that. However, moving from 32 to 33 for yet another 5th round pick doesn't make sense due to the fact that you lose the 5th year option you get with 1st round players. Why not just take the guy you want at 32 and have that 5th year option? Unfortunately, the only way this move makes sense is if they are planning to trade down once again from 33......probably for 5th round picks in 2027 and 2028🙄
  2. I think I'm with you........if he turns into the stud WR1 we think he will be, no one will remember how many picks were given up to get him!
  3. I really like the "Big 3" WR's......especially Odunze, but giving up 28, 60, next year's 1st and 2nd to do it is a tough pill to swallow.
  4. When I trade up into the top 10 in mock drafts, it always takes this year's and next year's 1st and 2nd to get it done.....typically, you can do it with Buffalo's 2nd next year instead of Minnesota's 2nd next year, which would be obviously a more ideal scenario.
  5. After an injury plagued regular season, it looks like the VGK is back! I wonder if any team has won back to back Cups with two different goalies??
  6. Lions, Penei Sewell reportedly agree to 4-year, $112M deal that makes him highest-paid OT in NFL Liz Roscher The Lions have made Penei Sewell the new highest-paid offensive tackle in the league. (Photo by Kevin Sabitus/Getty Images) (Kevin Sabitus via Getty Images) The Detroit Lions have had a very busy day. They've reportedly come to terms on a four-year, $112 million contract with offensive tackle Penei Sewell, making him the new highest-paid player at that position. This extension is reportedly the largest given to an offensive tackle in NFL history, with a staggering $85 million guaranteed. $85 million is approximately 75% of the contract's total value. He will be making approximately $28 million per year on average, the most of any other tackle in the NFL. This news comes just a few hours after it was reported that the Lions have also agreed to a four-year, $120 million extension with standout wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Sewell, 23, just completed his third NFL season. Drafted by Detroit with the seventh pick in 2021, it took almost no time for him to become one of the best at his position. He's been to two Pro Bowls and was named first-team All-Pro for the first time in 2023. And he's so young that there's room for him to grow and get even better. The Lions have made a stunning turnaround in only a handful of years. In 2021, Sewell's first year in the NFL, the Lions went 3-13-1 under first-year head coach Dan Campbell. Then in 2022 they went 9-8, missing the playoffs by just one game. In 2023 the 12-5 Lions made the playoffs via the wild-card, then beat two teams before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the Conference Championship. Sewell has been there for all of that, as has St. Brown. They've helped build a winning culture in Detroit, and now they get to stay and keep working to win the Lions that Super Bowl trophy they've always wanted.
  7. Went for it just to see what it would take.....a lot to give up, but if he becomes a stud WR1, no one will remember what the cost was to get him: Traded: 28, 60, 128, 2025 1st, 2025 2nd(BUF, not MIN) Received: 8, 109 8. Rome Odunze WR Washington 109. Leonard Taylor III DT Miami (FL) 133. Jaylen Wright RB Tennessee
  8. Beane to the GM's in the top 10: "These aren't the WR's you are looking for........."
  9. Let's go VGK!!!! So nice to have Stone back for the defending champs!!
  10. 28. Adonai Mitchell WR Texas 60. Cole Bishop S Utah 118. Audric Estime RB Notre Dame 133. Jordan Jefferson DT LSU
  11. I've been on the Cole Bishop bandwagon for a while now.....he strikes me as a real "McBeane-type" player. When he ran a 4.45 40 at the combine, that solidified him as the perfect 2nd round pick for the Bills. Getting Thomas and Bishop would be a real win in my eyes for the Bills.
  12. Not familiar with Dane Bruglers, but those have been my first two picks in most of the mocks that I have done.👍
  13. How about Marshawn Lynch?? Of course, his failures in Buffalo were more off the field....but I think that counts.
  14. Great Finale!! I was worried as the last two episodes before the finale were weak, but this was great! I don't want to spoiler it if you haven't seen it yet, but this is how Seinfeld should have ended......as the title of the finale says: No Lessons Learned!!!
  15. Mt. Rushmore isn't even on the Mt. Rushmore of stone-based artistic carvings!!
  16. Moved up in the 1st and up into the 3rd.....what a great first three picks this would be: 23. Brian Thomas Jr. WR LSU 60. Trey Benson RB Florida State 79. Cole Bishop S Utah
  17. My trade up/downs netted me a 2nd from SF and a 4th from AZ next year, but cost me a 3rd next year: 31. Adonai Mitchell WR Texas 66. Cole Bishop S Utah 83. Marshawn Kneeland EDGE Western Michigan 133. Jordan Jefferson DT LSU
  18. Well, they could convert 50-66% of this years base salary to a signing bonus before trading him to the Bills with the incentive of a higher draft pick from the Bills in return. That's what I meant by Seattle "eating" some of his contract......not at all sure if that is allowed or if Seattle would be willing to do it.
  19. No offense, but you throw a lot of scenarios out there it's hard to keep up!!😋
