  1. Ha. You beat me to it! I call the Bills D the "star-makers" because every week they make someone on the opposing teams offense look like a superstar...this week it was Jamaal Charles.
  2. I'm not sure if I want to know, but what exactly is your point here????
  3. Please...the guy had 2 sure INT's dropped by the KC defense and possibly a third that should have been picked. If those INT's aren't dropped, the game isn't even close. Not to mention the horrific INT throw at the end of regulation and the horrific overthrow to Spiller in the end zone. The only things that Fitz has is heart and saavy, but his talent is not comparable to that of a playoff-caliber QB. Fitz is what he is...a stop-gap QB for when your real QB gets injured...nothing more, nothing less.
  4. This is exactly right. Today, I liked what I saw from a lot of the young players on the team, and the loss really doesn't matter all that much to me. However, I do feel people need to curb their enthusiasm on the "Fitz is a god" talk. If Andrew Luck is available when the Bills pick in this draft, it's a no-brainer pick.
  5. I still don't understand why people are bemoaning the fact that the Bills aren't going to grind out another 6-10 or 7-9 record this year. Did you ever think that tanking the season with a roster that would never be playoff caliber in the AFC with the schedule the Bills have this year in the attempts of landing a true franchise QB through the draft next year isn't step 1 of the Nix plan?? Learn how to take the long view, suck it up, and think about April 2011, when you will hear the words: "With the first pick in the NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills select......Andrew Luck, QB Stanford."
  6. Yeah, I can't decide what was the funniest part of this thread....the original post, the responses of the people who missed the joke, or the poster who still missed the joke after it had been established in writing that the OP was joking.....classic!!
  7. The Eagles have had to change QB's twice due to injury in the first third of the season. What makes you think they will be willing to give up either of them at this point?
  8. Let's fix the above statement: But he has had only four sacks in three of the four seasons since he stopped taking steroids or HGH or both. Not saying the Bills don't need LB help, but he seems to be an oft-injured shell of his former self since he stopped taking the juice.
  9. Hey I wasn't trying to be a douche, I was just trying to be funny....I thought we needed a little humor on this board with the way things are going. Although I didn't post in the thread, I definitely read it the first time around...how do you think I remembered it. I would have done this right after the game on Sunday, but I was on vacation in Vegas and just got home yesterday and it just popped into my head to dig the thread up today for a laugh. Sorry for getting your panties in a wad over a joke....
  10. Great call on this one sir!!!! Brunell did replace Sanchez after he was finished blowing out the Bills on Sunday!! Congrats on a correct prediction!!
  11. Well put. I really hope the Bills get one of the top-tier QB's in next year's draft, but I hope that the factors you outlined in your post don't lead that next QB down the same path as RJ, JP, and Trent.
  12. How about the onside kick? They didn't even bother unpiling the players and taking a look before that official ran in and signaled Patriot ball...C'MON MAN!!
  13. Wow....a Boston Massacre reference......what % of the board do you think got that one. j/k
  14. He should have been penalized for the hair-cut, not the celebration!
  15. BOOM
  16. Congrats to Parrish...glad he finally has gotten his chance to contribute on O....so far he's made the most of his chance IMO.
  17. I'll give you that one, but Nix and Gailey weren't the ones making that pick. I also agree that many impact players can be named after the Bills picks over the last few years (Ngata, Orakpo, etc.), but again, different people were at the controls. I'll give Nix a chance to screw up a top 5 pick before I say "give me another 7-9 season so I can be happy in the short term at the cost of possible long-term improvement."
  18. Why? Why do we HAVE to be half way competitive this year? You want the Bills to go 6-10 or 7-9 just to satisfy your short term happiness, so the Bills can pick 9-12 again instead of 1-5 and miss out on a true impact player in the draft--which is one of the reasons why the Bills have been trapped in mediocrity for the past few years--they win just enough games to miss out on the top talent in the draft. Suck it up, and realize that bottoming out for a year or two gives the Bills a better shot at improving than being 6-10 or 7-9 year after year and having to pick Lynch instead of Adrian Peterson or Patrick Willis, Whitner instead of D'Brickashaw Ferguson, etc. etc.
  19. thought they might go for it on 4th there
  20. Maybe he was talking trash about McNabb because McNabb wanted no part of being traded to Buffalo....I'm sure the Eagles would have rather traded him to Buffalo or Oakland than within their own division, but the Eagles decided to respect his wishes, IIRC.
  21. I'd like to welcome Chris Kelsay's mother to the board.
  22. Defensive team captain..................yikes.
  23. 'nuff said.......lock this thread up.
