  1. Alright...tough love....I can respect that.
  2. Not exactly what I was looking for.
  3. Stevie seems truly devastated about his drop in OT, and I'm glad that he cares that much. This guy is on the verge of being a consistent playmaker in this league, and I hope the game he had today does not shatter his confidence. I know Fitz won't go away from throwing the ball to his #1 receiver next week, but Stevie needs to be ready to bounce back in a big way. Learn from it, put it behind you and come out ready to play next week. GO STEVIE!!!!!!!
  4. There were about 5 times where the Bills had the game won, but somehow they didn't make the play. Really, what is the difference between being 3-8 and 2-9....its frustrating to lose a winnable game, but I am encouraged by the direction the team is headed....with a few pieces added through FA and the Draft(no QB unless its Luck), these close losses will turn into wins in the near future.
  5. This is the third game I made a point to watch him, and he seemes to be a very impressive run-blocking tackle. Not to mention the fact that Arkansas flip-flops its offensive lineman from left side to right side pending where the ball is spotted on the field.(He has consistent experience playing both Left and Right tackle) I'm wondering if the drafniks on the board are aware of this guy, and if they think he may last into the second round.... I'd like to see this road-grading RT opening up holes for CJ and FJ for the Bills next year.
  6. +1 I along with you, were rooting for securing the #1 pick to get Luck. Since that is over, I hope the Fitz supporters are right about him because I don't want the Bills to draft Mallett or Locker. Also, I will be rooting for Luck to stay in college for another year so I won't feel too bad about missing out on our chance to draft him.
  7. Lets add Jones to the list of receivers on the roster who make a larger impact than Lee Evans. And don't give me that he takes away the coverage from the other receivers junk--I believe that if defenses begin to roll coverage towards Stevie Johnson more often, Johnson will still end up with more catches in a game than Evans. Like Gailey said, Johnson has the ability to find a way to get open--its time for Evans to show us a little bit of that, IMO. Evans should be flourishing in Chan Gailey's offensive system just like every other receiver on the roster is flourishing. I'm not suggesting the Bills get rid of Evans, I just want to see him produce at the level he should be.
  8. Then waive him the next day.
  9. If Fitz looks horrible vs. good teams like the Steelers, Jets, and Pats(a possibility) the need for a QB would still be a possibility---and since the Bills have played their way out of the Luck sweepstakes, I fear the above scenario will lead the Bills to take either Mallett or Locker--two prospects with much more uncertainty surrounding their NFL prospects than Luck. I know I've been driving the Luck bandwagon around here lately, but since it appears that ship has sailed, I hope you guys are right about Fitz, because the other QB prospects in the draft certainly don't impress me.
  10. Props to his creativity. Plus, he backed it up with two more TD's after that. Congrats Stevie!! Keep up the good work!
  11. If anything fired up the D, it was this.
  12. Awsome post, man! Very well put! Glad to see someone else who can think long-term around here!!
  13. +1 Yet there are people who are all amped up to win 2-3 more games this year--I just don't get it. Maybe these people should watch him play a time or two and their attitude may change, I guess.
  14. If the Bills end up with the number 1 pick and Andrew Luck, as opposed to winning a couple meaningless games now and ending up with a toss-up QB prospect like Mallett or Locker, you will be able to make that screen name change sooner rather tham later.
  15. When did Vick play for the Redskins?? I think you had the wrong QB playing vs. his old team. I want the Bills to win the exact number of games they need to secure the #1 pick. As much as I wish that number was 3 or 4, unfortunately it looks more and more like the number is 1. I hope the Bills look good in a losing effort, the young players continue to develop the rest of the year, then bring on the Andrew Luck era.
  16. I actually think this was a good idea. Also, I like that they took the Timeout with 10 seconds left so he could also kick the ensuing kickoff with the wind(assuming he would have made it).
  17. Its funny how you say "the only thing" when that is sort of the most important thing a QB has to do. I'm gonna hate it if this guy gets the Bills a few more meaningless wins and knocks us out of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes.
  18. Well, he did reference my post and started his reply with "are you kidding me?"
  19. Did you read my post before you replied to it?? I said that Lee Evans is no Calvin Johnson, and that for the most part, the guy is a ghost out there.
  20. Maybe this is what you are getting at I'm not sure, but Lee Evans is no Calvin Johnson. Good number 1 receivers create their own mismatches and consistently beat double teams. Lee Evans is a ghost out there for the most part, however, I try to give him the benefit of the doubt due to the QB's he has had over the years.
  21. That's Right. Parrish took about three or four huge hits during the season, he held on to the catch on all but one of them and he got right up after each of them. Unbelievable that anyone would question the toughness of Parrish. Fitz' poor throw coupled with his effort to turn said crappy throw into an awesome catch lead to the injury. Heal up Roscoe, and hopefully next year you will be catching passes from an actual franchise QB.
  22. I saw that on Sportscenter last night. How does a guy from Ohio end up with the Cowboys and Yankees as his favorite teams? Well, I guess his other choices would be the Browns and the Indians
  23. If we can look back at those drops as the reason the Bills are 1-15 with the number 1 pick in the draft as opposed to 4-12 with the number 6 pick in the draft, I can live with it.
  24. I hope they don't trade out of the number 1 pick if Luck is there....that might just cause me to give up on the Bills. That would just be disasterous, IMO. I know you are a Laker fan, so think of it this way: Remember when the Hornets traded the rights to Kobe Bryant to the Lakers on draft night for Vlade Divac because the Hornets said they were in desperate need of a center? How did that work out for the Hornets? I know the Bills need defensive front 7 help, but you don't pass up a franchise QB to do it. I just can't imagine any team trading out of number 1 if Luck is in the draft.
  25. It certainly has been a bright spot to watch these two guys who couldn't even get on the field in the Dicky J regime get their chance and run with it. Stevie Franchise has gotten better every week....11 catches....how many games does it take Evans to catch 11? 3 games? He doesn't have the speed of a true #1 receiver, but he sure does know how to get open. Congrats to Roscoe and Stevie!
