Stevie Johnson AKA The Joker!
Special K replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Props to his creativity. Plus, he backed it up with two more TD's after that. Congrats Stevie!! Keep up the good work! -

Awsome post, man! Very well put! Glad to see someone else who can think long-term around here!! -

+1 Yet there are people who are all amped up to win 2-3 more games this year--I just don't get it. Maybe these people should watch him play a time or two and their attitude may change, I guess. -
For my 1,000th post, LETS BLOW OUT CINCY

If the Bills end up with the number 1 pick and Andrew Luck, as opposed to winning a couple meaningless games now and ending up with a toss-up QB prospect like Mallett or Locker, you will be able to make that screen name change sooner rather tham later. -

When did Vick play for the Redskins?? I think you had the wrong QB playing vs. his old team. I want the Bills to win the exact number of games they need to secure the #1 pick. As much as I wish that number was 3 or 4, unfortunately it looks more and more like the number is 1. I hope the Bills look good in a losing effort, the young players continue to develop the rest of the year, then bring on the Andrew Luck era. -
Lindell needs to be accountable
Special K replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think this was a good idea. Also, I like that they took the Timeout with 10 seconds left so he could also kick the ensuing kickoff with the wind(assuming he would have made it). -
Gotta love this quote from Wood
Special K replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its funny how you say "the only thing" when that is sort of the most important thing a QB has to do. I'm gonna hate it if this guy gets the Bills a few more meaningless wins and knocks us out of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. -
Well, he did reference my post and started his reply with "are you kidding me?"
-
Did you read my post before you replied to it?? I said that Lee Evans is no Calvin Johnson, and that for the most part, the guy is a ghost out there.
-
Maybe this is what you are getting at I'm not sure, but Lee Evans is no Calvin Johnson. Good number 1 receivers create their own mismatches and consistently beat double teams. Lee Evans is a ghost out there for the most part, however, I try to give him the benefit of the doubt due to the QB's he has had over the years.

That's Right. Parrish took about three or four huge hits during the season, he held on to the catch on all but one of them and he got right up after each of them. Unbelievable that anyone would question the toughness of Parrish. Fitz' poor throw coupled with his effort to turn said crappy throw into an awesome catch lead to the injury. Heal up Roscoe, and hopefully next year you will be catching passes from an actual franchise QB.

I saw that on Sportscenter last night. How does a guy from Ohio end up with the Cowboys and Yankees as his favorite teams? Well, I guess his other choices would be the Browns and the Indians
-
If we can look back at those drops as the reason the Bills are 1-15 with the number 1 pick in the draft as opposed to 4-12 with the number 6 pick in the draft, I can live with it.
-
I hope they don't trade out of the number 1 pick if Luck is there....that might just cause me to give up on the Bills. That would just be disasterous, IMO. I know you are a Laker fan, so think of it this way: Remember when the Hornets traded the rights to Kobe Bryant to the Lakers on draft night for Vlade Divac because the Hornets said they were in desperate need of a center? How did that work out for the Hornets? I know the Bills need defensive front 7 help, but you don't pass up a franchise QB to do it. I just can't imagine any team trading out of number 1 if Luck is in the draft.

Lock Johnson and Parrish into long-term deals
Special K replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It certainly has been a bright spot to watch these two guys who couldn't even get on the field in the Dicky J regime get their chance and run with it. Stevie Franchise has gotten better every week....11 catches....how many games does it take Evans to catch 11? 3 games? He doesn't have the speed of a true #1 receiver, but he sure does know how to get open. Congrats to Roscoe and Stevie! -
Luckily, some of the crazy Fitz posters here are not in charge of the draft in April.
-
Thank you. Why is this so difficult for people to understand. This is about the third time I've posted this sentence in a thread in as many weeks: There are no Bruce Smith's or Lawrence Taylor's or even Julius Peppers or Mario Williams in this draft. Luck is the way to go...and it has nothing to do with how well or how bad Fitz plays.
-
God, does this team need some Luck.
Special K replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we could only be so "Luck"y. I sure hope this kid finds his way into a Bills uniform. Franchise QB...enough said. -
Would Kelsay be more of a inside backer
Special K replied to clearwater cadet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they should move Kelsay inside..........the locker-room during the games so as not to be a total liability to the defense. -
Lets not forget the fact that T.O. languished on the free agent market for months after Buffalo said no thanks. Its not like teams were beating down his door to sign him. Other teams were interested in claiming Merriman, and if he plays well, even more teams would be interested. It would be nice to think the guy will play well and stay with the Bills, but realisticlly, the chances of that happening are low, IMO.
-
I understand where you are coming from here...you are defending a player on your favorite team and I get that. I really don't think that the people who posted in this thread, myself included, think that Fitz completely sucks. But can you honestly sit there and say that you think he is an elite-level QB?? If you could take a poll of the 32 GM's in the NFL giving them the choice of drafting a potential franchise QB with the first overall pick, or keeping Fitz, what do you think the results would be? No one here is saying "cut Fitz because he blew these last two games", they are just stating the obvious fact that he is not an elite-level QB...something the Bills have been desperately searching for since the retirement of Jim Kelly.
-
I guess this is what happens when fans are exposed to poor QB play for so long....they are willing to believe barely above average QB play is acceptable. I don't think that Fitz sucks, but he is not, I repeat NOT, an acceptable option as a full-time starting playoff-caliber QB. Let Fitz start for the rest of the year, I'm fine with that. Brohm isn't the answer either. But when the draft comes along and the Bills are picking #1...I'd better be hearing Andrew Luck's name coming out of the commisioner's mouth(if Luck is going into the draft). There are no Bruce Smith's or Lawrence Taylor's or even a Julius Peppers or Mario Williams in this draft--QB is the way to go..period.
