Well done. This defense is certainly beastly, and will continue to get better as Byrd, Gilmore return to the lineup. What I'm looking forward to most is seeing just how good this D can be at full strength!! Unfortunately, it will be for nothing if EJ's injury keeps him out for an extended period of time....you could have the '85 Bears defense out there and it wouldn't be good enough to win with Teul at QB .

I always thought his nickname was "Mr. Big Stuff", either way I was very happy for Dareus today, and I hope we continue to see more dominating games like this one from him in the future.

Obviously, McK is the number 1 PR, and was hurt, but why put Leonhard back there when a big return was needed. If the Bills had the lead, and wanted a sure-handed guy to make a fair catch I'm all for having Leonhard back there. The situation called for someone with the potential to break off a big return and putting someone with less PR experience was worth the risk at that point. Woods, Easley, Graham were better options at that point, IMO. Was this a head-scratcher to anyone else??

If the Bills had their true starting secondary, the Bills would have won the game. As bad as the Jets D made the Bills O look, they still scored 20 points, and if Gilmore, McK, and Brooks were at corner, with Byrd and A-Will at strong safety where he belongs, the Jets would have been lucky to score 9 points at best. I think the pass rush and the blitzing went out the window because the coverage was so bad, it wouldn't have been effective anyway.

As bad as the Jets D made the Bills O look, they still scored 20 points, and IMO that would have been more than enough to win this game had the Bills secondary had Gilmore, McK, Brooks, and Byrd playing. Lets hope those guys get healthy and back playing soon, because it will be next to impossible to win games with the secondary they are fielding now.

My take: Byrd wanted to be paid 9 million/yr, and he is being paid 7 mil/yr. Therefore, playing 12 games for 7mil will be equal to playing 16 games for 9 mil. So look for him to come back for the Thursday night game vs Cleveland. It's a prime time game, so he will get national attention, and he will have 10 days to recover before the next game.

One additional thing I've noticed about Graham is that he is a pretty good down field run blocker. He has definitely been a part of the blocking on a few of the long runs CJ has had this year.

The sad thing is he is having the same impact now as he did when he was actually on the roster!!

Well, it's a little hard to make an impact when he is sitting on the couch at home after being cut by the Bills.

It may not be a gimme, but having a clown by the name of Geno Smith as the opposing QB certainly helps.

This is my take on the situation as well. On a side note, I was watching the Washington State/Auburn game, and the announcers talked about Tuel and said that he will be starting week 1.....not sure why ESPN is sticking with this story as they are the only ones to report Tuel starting with such certainty. I think they are off base on this one.

If this is the case, maybe he would be better off playing in Cleveland.

I agree with this. It wouldn't be shocked if he is participating in individual drills and maybe some 7 on 7 reps by Thursday or Friday.

I think Rogers is one of those guys that thinks he can make it on physical talent alone, and it just doesn't work that way on the NFL level. I think Easley has played his way into the number 5 receiver spot, and its a toss up for who gets spot 6. Unless something changes over the next week, odds are Rogers will not be in the mix for that spot.

This is the guy I wanted all along as well. Obviously the Bills were not going to take him at 8, but I'm glad they found a trade down partner and picked up an extra 2nd rounder in the process. I feel he has the potential to be a Big-Ben or Daunte Culpepper (before his knee injury) type QB. Looking forward to watching this kid develop....great job Bills!! Now if the Bills can luck out and get Zach Ertz at 41 and Robert Woods at 46, this offense could get good very quickly.
