  1. I believe when Spikes went down with the achilles, there was talk of how Crowell had to "transition" on the fly from middle to weakside linebacker. He definitely got better each week at weakside backer during that season. Why can't he transition back when he has an entire off season, training camp, and preseason to prepare? Of course this discussion could be a moot point if they draft Willis in RD 1.
  2. I'm glad to see I am not the only one who feels this way.
  3. If Vilma came to the Bills, Mcgahee would have his one big game against us instead of the Jets!
  4. He broke his collarbone on what appeared to be a "hot-dogging" type dive into the end zone.
  5. So was Larry Brown for the Cowboys.....and how did that work out for him?
  6. I was thinking more along the lines of Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson, David Terell, Drew Henson and Braylon Edwards. I was waiting for somone to mention Brady, but he wasn't hyped at all coming out of college.
  7. I am not that impressed with Hall anyway. I watched Michigan play a few times this year and watched him get beat on several occasions. Is it just me, or do Michigan players always seem to get over-hyped then never live up to expectations?
  8. I really don't think Brown is worth our FA $$$....he is an injury waiting to happen. The Titans lost Travis and have salary cap room and I don't think they have shown any interest whatsoever. If we are going to gamble on a running back, let it be a second round draft pick whose rookie contract will be much less than what Brown is asking.
  9. He was drafted in the second round with Buffalo's pick from the JP trade. I would give up no more than a third round pick at the most(draft day deal)....only if a better option isn't available in round two of the draft
  10. I think Tripplett is better suited as a "wave" player like he was in Indy. Not to mention that Okoye is only 19 and weighs in at 302 lbs. You don't think the talent and potential gap between Tripplett and Okoye is great enough to make this pick? Also, a dominating D-line will always help to minimize the deficiencies of the back 7.
  11. I believe he was a pro bowl alternate in 2005 and was added as an injury replacement that year.
  12. lol...This has to be one of the dumbest things I've read in a while...I wonder what this guy was smoking when he was writing this? Anybody agree to what he is suggesting? When I read the "article" the first thing that came to my mind was how badly it would be trashed on this board!!
  13. Willis is my number two preference behind Okoye as well. You have to be strong in the middle for the cover 2 to be successful.
  14. Am I the only one still on the Amobi Okoye bandwagon??
  15. I believe the final two years of the McGahee contract are bogus(padded numbers to make the super-agent look good!) the contract has around 15 million in guaranteed money. I should have been more specific, I was basing my comments on that figure.
  16. Not to mention the ridiculously high contract such a high draft pick would command.....it would probably be two to threee times bigger than the contract the Ravens gave to McGahee plus the draft picks it would cost--no thanks.
  17. I agree with both points. I don't think FA is the way to go on the defensive side of the ball....continue to draft heavily on defense and assemble a unit of young players who fit the system and allow them to develop into a consistent, cohesive unit.
