The Maddy Glab thing is tough because as someone who is not a fan of hers I don't want it to come across like it has anything to do with being bitter about her looks(I know the previous posts weren't directed to me) and I know she has a college background in sports journalism and is a sports fan I'm not disputing that but in our market all of our sports reporters and analysts have always been locals to the WNY region for the most part(ok so I know Howard grew up in Queens and Jeremy is from Syracuse). She just seems like such a fish out of water in this market to me. I know Murph and Tasker aren't the greatest listen in the world but Murphy is the Bills play by play guy and been with the organization for over 35 years. Hell Tasker played on the Super Bowl teams that are still beloved in Buffalo. They have their place. It's just weird to me listening to an Outsider who clearly has no background with Buffalo Bills football. Has nothing to do with her being a young cute female. In fact I actually feel really bad feeling the way I do because she also seems like a very nice and sweet girl too. Just from my perspective regardless of having a degree I don't see her as somebody very qualified for the role.

I get that Murphy has his detractors and it's not that I think he is a great listen but I'll admit that there's something about this that makes me a little sad. Murph is the classic old timer that you could picture as someone's Grandpa talking Bills football with at a family Christmas gathering or meeting at a bar. He might come across a bit stubborn or pessimistic but he was definitely an old school Bills guy. He's part of a dying breed. Sports coverage has been changing dramatically over the last five years and it makes me sad knowing we will be going forward with the likes of Maddy Glab who isn't from Buffalo, doesn't know a thing about the Bills or football in general and makes you wonder why the hell she even has the job in the first place lol. Chris Brown? Meh. I like Sal and he knows his stuff and I enjoy listening to him but once again he doesn't have that old school feel that I was accustomed to listening to growing up. It's crazy how fast times flying by and things are changing these days

I don't know anything about the victim, other than apparently she was involved in a crack cocaine trafficking ring as pointed out above, but here's another thing whenever one of these kind of cases come up...People automatically assume the female victim was a poor innocent soul that could be your wife, sister, cousin, niece etc. but the kind of Women that hang around and go after the athletes(and I am not taking about the wives but more-so the Mistresses and sidepieces) are scandalous as all hell 99% of the time. No matter what Bennett was in the WRONG as I have stated before but I wasn't in the room, you weren't in the room we don't know how everything transpired and if drugs and alcohol were involved things tend to usually go down. Once again I truly believe he was WRONG for the actions that were committed but I cannot crucify the guy for the rest of his life because of this. I trust Marv Levy as much as anybody in this world when it comes to judging character and if Marv says he thinks Bennett has served his punishment for the crime and deserves the WOF recognition it's good enough for me.

These are always great but I'm not expecting this year to be as exciting because of the circumstances -
You could paint the bar in Zubas style and call it The Zubar ?♂️

I agree with this. I have to stress nobody that is defending Ed is saying what he did wasn't wrong. It definitely was but to call him the next Marcel Dareus or say that he should be cut etc. is going to the extreme. He made a STUPID decision. But a lot of people make stupid decisions at that age, that doesn't mean he cannot grow and mature from this experience. Whenever these kind of things pop up I just think back to how I was when I was that age and really do have sympathy for these guys as long as they didn't do something over the top. I'm sure there are a lot of other guys on the board that can relate to that.

Agree to disagree. The problem with this argument is it's going to be subjective to your own personal life and experiences. While I think everybody would agree what Ed did was wrong and getting behind the wheel after some pops is WRONG in general..if you are someone that never did that in your life I can see why you would think it's inexcusable under any circumstances. For those of us that lived that lifestyle when we were young and dumb I think we can empathize seeing a young person make the same stupid mistakes that we had to learn and grow up from. I will say this though it sounds like you weren't around the bar and party scene when you were younger which is fine but I promise you there's a HUGE population of kids that age that will drive after having some drinks and it's usually just because a lot of kids are inexperienced in life and think they are invincible at that stage, not that they think they are putting anybody in danger. Most grow out of that but obviously not all. As for the adult population that drives under the influence that is an entirely different demographic where there are probably more issues going on like alcoholism, depression etc.

Sad to see this end. Was nice having something to look forward to every week and thought the Doc itself was extremely well done. The music, the behind the scenes footage, the way these guys could talk with their guard down with all the swearing and not trying to speak in a typical media interview session tone. The emotion, there were even some funny moments thrown in there for good mix too. I was worried going into it that it was getting hyped up so much it would not be able to live up to expectations but it delivered!

I'm sorry but you sound completely ignorant by saying people don't grow out of drinking and driving. I'd say that is one of the most common stupid things young adults do when they are in that age range. I'm not sure what your background is and maybe you were in the service or something and matured at an earlier age than your peers or something and kudos to you if that's the case but a 22 year old is still a college-aged kid at that time. An adult technically but for anybody that remembers what life is like for a 22 year old that is still the knucklehead stage. 22 was probably the craziest year of my life. You still feel invincible at that age. I don't have a clue what the percentage is but I promise you that the number of people who drive intoxicated in their early 20's that grows out of it is extremely higher than the percentage of people who will drive intoxicated for the rest of their life.

I think the thing I'm most amazed at is how many people on this board apparently have never made any mistakes in their life especially when they were in their early 20s

Raiders new stadium looks like...
BillsPride12 replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm a much bigger fan of the classic stadiums like Lambeau and Arrowhead but I do like it when a stadium reflects the city they play in and this stadium is perfect for Vegas. It looks just like of their fancy Casino's from the outside. I'm a little disappointed I was planning on going out there for the game this year but have decided to not even bother with the Coronavirus stuff going on. -
My thoughts on the Bennett Wall of Fame thing have always been this: I'm aware of what happened and no I don't condone that by any means but I also think it's a little unfair because none of those other star players were Saints during their playing days, they just might not have gone through an actual legal case regarding some of their misdeeds to society. From what I see nowadays Cornelius looks like he has grown up and matured just like the rest of those guys. He was such an important piece to those Super Bowl teams...much more so than a guy like Phil Hansen(nothing against him). It seems like such a glaring omission to not have the Biscuit recognized when you think back to those glory years. I would imagine Lawrence Taylor is in the Giants Wall of Fame equivalent and his off the field problems were well documented so I guess all I'm saying is give Biscuit his due. The fact he has had to wait this long is punishment enough . The thing with Bennett he had a ton of hype coming out of college. I mean being hyped up as the next Lawrence Taylor level hype so it is true that he didn't quite live up to those expectations. But he was still a great player. Not hall of fame great, but definitely wall of fame great. In the 91 season when Bruce was injured most of the year Biscuit had to anchor the defensive line by himself and was AFC defensive player of the year.

Every time I see a team change it's uniforms I am beyond grateful with what we have in Buffalo
