  1. ? ? ? ? ? ?
  2. If you kick your dog, I hope it bites your bloody leg off.
  3. Cool! Fun Fact: My brother made some of the optics that fixed the Hubble. (Owned his own one-man shop in the Rochester area.)
  4. Just wondering why you think Sill has a leg up on him. (not saying you're wrong.) I haven't heard many positive TC reports about Sills.
  5. The wife and I just spent a fantastic few days exploring some new beaches along the West Coast of the South Island. Wow. We even spotted a few penguins coming back in the evening from feeding all day.
  6. Funny, I was thinking the same thing about Jack White.
  7. I'll also recommend Muscle Shoals. The story is incredible. Another good one is Supermensch:The Legend of Shep Gordon. Again, incredible story.
  8. You know... this thread topic used to be a fun place to share goofy stories. Now? Not so much. Thanks 4mer.
  9. Fun fact... I was born at the same time that the moon capsule splashed down. July 24th
  10. Rochester born and raised, but escaped in '90. Far away from Bills country now.
  11. Seabreeze is home to honestly one of the best "beach bars" in the world. Marge's Lakeside! I used to love going there.
  12. FFS, you're harping on about Drake's equation again? IT DOESN'T PROVE ANYTHING!
  13. We go to our local beach (Tahunanui Beach) at least every Saturday and Sunday morning. It's our weekend thing. Wake up early, grab a couple cups of coffee, load up the dog and spend an hour or two walking on the beach. We're spoiled for choice here on Tasman Bay. The beaches of the Abel Tasman National Park (across the bay) are some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, however Wharariki Beach is my favourite beach in the world. Jeez, why the heck am I at work right now??
  14. Yeah, but it wasn't counter clockwise!
  15. The furthest that you can get from the ocean, here in NZ is about 60-70 miles away. Just a bit different from the continental US.
  16. Great to hear this follow-up story. I had read a while back that someone found this van, but that was it. Great stuff!
  17. I love my Sanuks. (although they're my winter shoes!)
  18. The Jandal (as Flip Flops are called down here) are a major part of the Kiwi identity. You see people wearing them everywhere, all the time. During summertime, there are two types of footwear … Jandals or bare feet. (Bare feet also being welcomed in schools, businesses and shops.) I guess it's part of island living.
  19. Hmmm... I could be wrong, but I don't think you truly understand the definition of the words 1. "literally" 2. "Infinite"
  20. Soviet era "submarine" found on ocean floor leaking high levels of radiation. https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/europe/114206217/sovietera-submarine-is-emitting-radiation-at-levels-800000-times-above-normal-norway-says At least that's what they want us to believe. What's the under-sea equivalent to the term "UFO"? Exactly.
  21. Yeah, our weather really can't be beat here in Nelson. We still have 4 seasons, but the snow is only on the mountains around us and not down here along the sea. Summer's are long and not too hot and we have the most sunshine hours in the country. (Damn it... I should be keeping it a secret!)
  22. Does it make me a bad person because I'm rooting for these bulls to cause as much damage as possible?
  23. No need for AC here on the top of the South.
  24. Let's go Black Caps!
