How frequently do you go to beaches?
Bad Things replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Seabreeze is home to honestly one of the best "beach bars" in the world. Marge's Lakeside! I used to love going there. -
FFS, you're harping on about Drake's equation again? IT DOESN'T PROVE ANYTHING!

We go to our local beach (Tahunanui Beach) at least every Saturday and Sunday morning. It's our weekend thing. Wake up early, grab a couple cups of coffee, load up the dog and spend an hour or two walking on the beach. We're spoiled for choice here on Tasman Bay. The beaches of the Abel Tasman National Park (across the bay) are some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, however Wharariki Beach is my favourite beach in the world. Jeez, why the heck am I at work right now?? -
Yeah, but it wasn't counter clockwise!

Is it okay for men to wear flip flops in public?
Bad Things replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The furthest that you can get from the ocean, here in NZ is about 60-70 miles away. Just a bit different from the continental US. -
Great to hear this follow-up story. I had read a while back that someone found this van, but that was it. Great stuff!

The Jandal (as Flip Flops are called down here) are a major part of the Kiwi identity. You see people wearing them everywhere, all the time. During summertime, there are two types of footwear … Jandals or bare feet. (Bare feet also being welcomed in schools, businesses and shops.) I guess it's part of island living. -
Hmmm... I could be wrong, but I don't think you truly understand the definition of the words 1. "literally" 2. "Infinite"

Soviet era "submarine" found on ocean floor leaking high levels of radiation. https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/europe/114206217/sovietera-submarine-is-emitting-radiation-at-levels-800000-times-above-normal-norway-says At least that's what they want us to believe. What's the under-sea equivalent to the term "UFO"? Exactly.

Does anyone here not have central AC?
Bad Things replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yeah, our weather really can't be beat here in Nelson. We still have 4 seasons, but the snow is only on the mountains around us and not down here along the sea. Summer's are long and not too hot and we have the most sunshine hours in the country. (Damn it... I should be keeping it a secret!) -
Josh Norman ups ante on Josh Allen leap challenge

Does it make me a bad person because I'm rooting for these bulls to cause as much damage as possible? -

No need for AC here on the top of the South. -
Let's go Black Caps!

Josh Allen - Nelson So, I was biking into work this morning and at a stoplight I asked the guy in the car next to me about Josh Allen. He said, "Who is Josh Allen" and "What are the Buffalo Bills??" So, I have that going for me.

Yeah, I saw this a couple years ago. There's new speculation that it's not actually a landmass... it's really a UFO on the Ocean Floor! (But this was all based on sitcom math.)

Yeah, unfortunately earthquakes are part of the experience of living in New Zealand. I guess that's why they used to call them "The Shakey Isles" That said... I hate them! Fortunately, the last strong one we had was now 5-6 years ago. I'll never forget it. I was in my shower and the entire thing started shaking back and forth like one of those old "Swingin' Gym" rides at the Webster Firemen's Carnival! I could barely stay on my feet. The worst thing is that we're over-due for a major earthquake on the "Alpine Fault" which runs up the full length of the South Island. Ugh.

Holy cow, I can't believe I forgot about Europe '72. What a great album... it's what really turned me on to the Dead.

The two that instantly pop into my head are... Genesis - Seconds Out Lynyrd Skynyrd - One more from the road.

Kaep enhances his job prospects by taking on Betsy Ross
Bad Things replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in Off the Wall Archives
For F's sake... does there always need to a controversy or hurt feelings up there? (From both Kaep and his distractors.) Sad. -
Just thought I’d mention that one of the trending Netflix shows is called Bob Lazar: Area 51 and Flying Saucers. Joe Rogan also did a recent podcast interviewing Bob. I have no idea if he’s totally full of it, or if he’s telling the truth, but it’s sure an interesting interview and could actually tie in a lot of what has recently come out in the media. When did Don Beebe become a Bills legend???
Bad Things replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just wondering if you were an active fan in the years that he played here. I'd be surprised you held these views if you were. (I'm not being snarky... I'm just sayin') -

Bad Things replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
C'mon now... Beebe is more than a "role player". "Legend" may be too great of a term, but Beebe was a big part of the offense. White lightning!
