  1. Speaking of just how strange things are... https://www.businessinsider.com.au/trump-tours-coronavirus-mask-factory-live-and-let-die-soundtrack-2020-5?r=US&IR=T I thought it was a weird joke, until I found out it was true. There is no way this would have happened in other times.
  2. No it's not. I've only been away for 15 years, and know what it used to be like. And I'm not saying that it was always 'holding hands and kumbaya".
  3. I love the Adirondacks. It's where we spent all of our summer vacations when I was a kid. (Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, before the Olympics ruined that town.) I still always have to go up there for a visit whenever I'm back in America. I have an ADK balsam pillow in my wardrobe that is about 10 years old, but smells like it was made yesterday. Every so often, I put my face right in it, take a deep breath and am instantly transported back to the North Country. Ahhh... Just two days ago, I was on a construction site in Golden Bay (NZ) with an English chap who said the visited NYS back in '68. We spent an hour sharing stories of hiking and paddling in the ADKs. Lake Tear of The Clouds was his favourite place.
  4. This. I hate to say it, but this is what is being projected to the rest of the world. While almost every other country has bonded together to collectively fight this virus for their own common good, America just seems to be awash in mixed messages and in-fighting. It certainly does not project the image of a strong, resilient country. Again, please don't get me wrong, I'm only wanting to see a positive outcome for you/us all.
  5. Very happy to report that for two consecutive days, we have not had a new case of Covid-19 in New Zealand. https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/121406874/coronavirus-second-day-without-covid19-case ?
  6. RIP and God Bless coach. He was a mighty adversary.
  7. Ah, screw Gilmore. I watched this video a day or two after the draft. He seems like a really good dude. Same goes for AJ. I'm rooting for them, all the way!
  8. Mate, you're wasting your time. Just put him/her on "ignore" and move on. Some things just aren't worth it.
  9. All I noticed were those legs. Oh mama!
  10. Well, I guess we now know how Melania can keep that clean, fresh appearance. Old school.
  11. ... and the countries whose populations and effective leaders believe in science and the common good. (At least that's how I saw it happening down here, in New Zealand.)
  12. Nice! Thanks for sharing this. I think the keyboard/reggae vibe may be a tip of the hat to this one...
  13. Brilliant! Thank you, Gunner!
  14. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but it's gotta be this one... AC/DC - Have A Drink On Me https://youtu.be/dN61WU57zBw It wouldn't ever happen in a million years but, could you imagine all the drunks in the stands if this song comes on? (Especially when 3:08 in the song comes around!)
  15. Understood. I was never suggesting that our situations were similar. Still though...
  16. In case anyone is interested on how things are going outside of the US. (This is about NZ's successful response.) https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-52344299
  17. Same here in New Zealand. Our PM is following the advice of the health professionals. I am so worried about what is happening back in America. Although I live half a world away, all of my family and friends (and you, Bills fans, reading this!) are back there... I wish you all nothing but the best.
  18. Surprised there hasn't been anything mentioned on here, regarding the Presidents decision to stop supporting the World Health Organization.
  19. If you're not watching the White House Briefing... I strongly suggest you do. Don't watch bits and pieces through the news. Watch the whole thing.
  20. Gotta give a shoutout to Hal. The dad on Malcolm in the Middle.
