Too bad things didn't "get real" during his first two years here.

Is it really so difficult to keep a dozen reusable bags in your car? I've been using the same bags for over ten years now. (There are even two Bills bags in there that I bought when I was back in the States in 2010.) They're still almost as good as new. It speaks volumes about you if you honestly believe mass producing these bags is better for the planet than if they were not. Engauge your brain and use common sense.

Nice spin?? That what they are referred to in NZ. They were created to be used a single time, although you can certainly reuse them.

We've stopped using plastic single-use bags down here for over a year and the sky hasn't fallen down. If fact, I didn't hear a single person complaining about it. Another important aspect to consider, apart from the waste that these bags generate, is the problems that arise from manufacturing them. Quickly looking online, I found this... I don't think people are "afraid" of those winters. I think many people simply don't like those gray, cold miserable days. Heck, if I call up any of my friends or family in upstate around this time of year, they are ALL miserable and bitching about the weather. It happens every year, so I stay incommunicado until later in spring. I lived 21 years in upstate NY and set sail long ago, not because I was afraid of winter, but because there were other climates that suited me far better.

If you repeat that long enough, you will start believing it. Keep it up!

This broken record is really getting old. Your condescending attitude is getting even older. You harp on and on about Drake's equation like it's the word of God, whereas it's solely based on estimates, variables and assumptions. I wish airlines would either just get rid of reclining seats or at least reduce the amount they can be reclined. Even on 14+ hour long-haul flights, I do NOT recline my seat, simply because I don't want to be a dick to the person behind me.
