  1. May have been one of these things where Rex came up with (or borrowed from Daddy) this great defensive scheme. Teams figured it out so Rex adjusted, teams figured it out and Rex adjusted again. But got to the point his adjustments became too complex for it to work at game speed.
  2. There was 1 game where you could point to TT and say he was a big part of the reason we won, but the other six, agree, he just didn't do anything bad to lose and did enough to help the team some. I'm not a TT hater BTW, just seeing it for what it has become with him.
  3. I see two major problems with TT, his hesitancy to make throws and his accuracy. I jokingly say the reason his int % is so low is the passes are often so far off target the CB can't even get to them either. If he only had one of these issues, I don't care which, he'd be a decent serviceable QB who likely would have won maybe two more games a season. With a little better team around him, could likely lead team to playoffs and maybe deep into them. But have both of these issues holding you down is just too much to overcome and what you see is what you get. If he goes to a new team, there likely will be some early improvement as no scheme, new players around him, will take some time for defenses to figure him out again, but eventually will catch up.
  4. The problem with this concept IMO is that FA occurs prior to draft, so likely if you wanted to trade TT , you'd have done it prior to draft and prior to March 3rd roster bonus payout
  5. Explain to me the difference between those two things? Seems unless you take a QB who is guaranteed to be a franchise leading QB You draft the #3 or 4th rated QB, say Mayfield, from everything written, you're hoping for the best. Even taking Darnold, who's a California dude, with a bit of a questionable off field stuff is hoping for the best out of him IMO I'd completely agree with you in trading up for the QB if there was pretty much a can't miss guy to take, but they all seem to have questions. Who ever is being discussed, one report is he's be the next Peyton Manning, the next report, could be maybe another Dalton/Tannerhill kind of guy.. Seems to me this entire best QB class in a long time was spot on until they actually played out the 2017 college season. Pretty soon the talk of the great 2018 QB class will be starting.
  6. So what exactly does this mean? You can watch all games through this package or just the game that is being televised in your local market which is pretty much what they have today?
  7. A couple times I saw one of the Bills down lineman sweep his hand through the snow and kind of throw snow on the ball in the centers hand to slick it up some I assume. I wondered if that could have been a penalty?
  8. Don't know if anyone was watching the end of the Jax game, I'd suggest they sign the fan in the stands who threw something and hit the Seattle player. Doubt TT could have made that accurate of a throw. While I understand fans shouldn't be throwing stuff at players I do find it easy to make an exception when it involves Seattle. The player certainly escalated things by trying to go after the fans as 9 times out of 10 that's not going to stop anything, just make it worse.
  9. Because he can since no one wants to stop people from posting and starting threads 5 minutes after creating an account. so unfortunately there are pages of rubbish just like this.
  10. The problem is money is involved, so as soon as the player is losing salary the NFLPA steps in to appeal. Don't like it either, but that's the way it is. Only way it changes would be for the majority of the players to ask for change. And that's kind of what happened the last time when they agreed to give Roger all the power.
  11. From what was stated Woods was a FA and wanted to go to a team on the west coast. So likely the only way the Bills could have hung onto him was by way over paying. In Watkins case, in the 3 seasons here between the numbers he put up and being healthy he did very little and 28 catches this season to justify the large contract he's going to want. So yes we could have hung onto him this seaosn and likely would have helped some, but would likely have lost him at years end as doubt we'd want ot pay big $$ for a 28 reception WR. He also made some comments a couple months back kind of admitting he didn't exactly try his hardest here in Buffalo so again, doubt we'd have re-signed him unless all of a sudden he agreed to a big contract reduction. Maybe Wood's big numbers this season is due to having better QB play
  12. Nope completely wrong. There are other threads here that prove our draft class this past spring was terrible.
  13. It is getting crazy. I'd like to see must be a member for at least 30 days before replying to a post (1st 30 days spent observing only) then 6 months and 100 replies before starting own new threads. Freedom of the press is really getting out of hand here!!
  14. Watkins just helped create an INT by the Saints. Was a lucky play, but without Sammy's help wouldn't have happened
  15. Chargers may be better than people thought, plus Chargers are playing Denver and Oakland who haven't played very well. Evne KC has looked very beatable latelty. And they play the NFC east which excluding Philly may be pretty weak.
  16. No I get that it was sarcasm. My point was if the NFLPA gets what they want, it may not be so far fetched to see this happen. And actually it was the head of their union who brought up the one year contract fears in that "yeah maybe it's not something we really want"
  17. The NFLPA often talks about guaranteed contracts, they say that could be one of the by-products of it. Other than the super stars, the lower level players all get one year contracts only.
  18. It very likely could be he told the Bills he wanted to go to a team where he could compete for the starting job. That wasn't going to happen here in Buffalo so didn't matter how much the Bills offered, he wasn't signing an extension here.
  19. Yeah it's no different than the week before when the game was out of reach against the Saints. Petermann came in and looked terrific and drove them right down the field and scored. I'm not a TT hater or lover, but the last two games he played, he was awful
  20. I fully understand the idea of a coach coaches to a certain style, Rex wasn't going to coach Swartz defense. McDermott /Dennison aren't going to do exactly what Lynn did last year, etc. And by no means are the Bills unique in that regard. Every team and every coach does that. It may not make sence to many fans, but that's just the way it is, so accept it. Now the coach brings in his style of assistants for scheme he wants to run, then you go out and get the players to fit that style. The problem though is to get enough players to play your style and are good enough to make a difference in the number of wins a team has takes a couple of seasons usually to accomplish. So if all goes well that works and you're deemed the next Bill Walsh. But any type of hiccup in the process, above normal number of injuries, owner that has much less patience than others, etc; you don't get the wins. Now instead you're fired and in comes the next guy to start all over. So am wondering why the coaches haven't figured out that I really need to bring in coaches and play a style that fits the current players else by the time I can turn this ship around I'll likely be fired. But yet the draft experts praised the Bills draft. But what do they know, I'm sure you're way smarter than people who do this for a living.
  21. So didn't he have something to prove after the Jet game? He played just as bad the next week, actually played much worse. I'm not against TT, but posts like this are just plain stupid as TT has done very little to earn any trust.
  22. I'm guessing Sherman must only watch the highlights on Primetime or something if he thinks it was only one bad game. Obviously the change didn't work out too well, but TT has been real bad for the past two games and even prior had maybe one to two real good games
  23. Was listening yesterday afternoon to the Bamonte Jones show, he had on some guy who covers the NFL with an Irish/British accent, didn't catch the name. (Maybe he thought he was there to discuss Futbol) He was saying how terrible dumb decision by the Bills to bench TT. His arguments were that the reason TT isn't making the throws is his receivers are never getting open which from everything you hear, the opposite is true. And the second point is that TT throws amazing deep ball. Now that could be argued that the deep ball is TT's best throw only because the rest are all so bad. I think the first game TT played he had tow good deep passes, since then it's been worse overall, again most being uncatchable. Overall my impression was sounded like an interview from a guy who's watched TT highlights on Sportcenter and that's about it. But that's why the national media is ripping on the Bills for benching TT due to "insight" like this.
  24. I'll be very surprised if they aren't given 4 years including the current season. Pegula strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn't want to make changes, but has recently made alot because he realized that mistakes were made. Feel like this time he picked people and will let them develop together and give them time. Where's the flawed part? While they won't admit to tanking, they went out of their way to trade away players who weren't good fits for draft picks to build for the future. The problem they ran into was the team then went and started 5-2. Sure they could have signed some over priced FA this past off-season who would have continued to keep them in salary cap hell, instead they went the other way. You'll likely see as much turn over in this coming off-season as you did this past year as they get the players they want. The one difference is they won't be as hampered by money, but again, think you'll more see the team built through the draft.
  25. The one thing that worries me about that is, are you then getting a guy who looks pretty good, so you build around him, but in three years you figure out he reached his cap around 2 + years ago. I'm not against playing him, but the quote heard often about "most NFL ready coming out of the draft" does worry me some.
