  1. Means people in NYC have more money to gamble with than in Buffalo! LOL And more people follow the Giants than the Bills and the Bills had 4 turnovers last week so were "lucky" to have won.
  2. Keep in mind the word fan is short for fanatic. Anyone who takes the time to post on message boards is somewhat taking things to extremes. How many times does someone get arrested for something, you read about all the evidence, but yet his family says he's innocent. As fans we see things with rose colored glasses and hope. Having said that do agree that many of the national media don't see enough to get a clear picture. This past week, all the write ups about how bad Allen was 4 turnovers, but as some articles did point out, none were the result of poor decision be him and more just dumb luck. The local beat writers do see the team on a regular basis and are certainly more objective than a fan will be.
  3. The thing that's obvious to me is the NFL is alot smarter than you, me and everyone on this board put together and if they could make more money doing as you suggest, why aren't they?
  4. So the NFL isn't smart enough to figure that out. Wow! Sounds like they need to talk to you so you can straighten them out. Always amazes me how so many people here are smarter than all the coaches out there and even the people that run entire leagues. DTV has a monopoly with the NFL because every time the contract has come up for renewal, they'd offer the NFL a boat load of money becasue they know if they don't and they lose ST, their subscriber base will go way down. Though was surprised to read an article the other day that estimates if DTV were to lose ST, they'd lose 10% of their subscribers. I would have expected that number to be much higher. Regardless one thing I'm pretty certain of is that the NFL looked at alternatives and if they could have made more money from some other service, they'd have done it in a heartbeat. On the Sunday Ticket thread there was a link to an article about why the NFL is the last sport to go to a streaming service and why they don't. They like having the games on local networks every week. One other thing different with football than the other sports is MLB package, NBA buy the content from companies that produce and broadcast a teams games. MSG has the Yankee's, Knick's Rangers, NESN has Sox, Bruins, and Celtics. The one exception of games not offered by these packages are any games broadcast to the whole country which essentially are all of the NFL games. Having said all that I do think the next contract may not go to DTV for exclusive rights as sounds like DTV i.e. ATT isn't willing to spend a boat load of money for it..
  5. saw an ad on ESPN, Don’t let DTV take ESPN off the air. Are they having contract issues with them too? Bad enough networks now them too.
  6. Agree saw that to, should have been downed thoughtfully they did go around block chance the Jet could pick it up and no one in front of him then.
  7. there was a timeout called prior to punting so was a stopped clock. I agree punting was the much safer option and smarter option. More field goals get blocked than punts. The one thing I did question though, why not punt out of bounds instead of down the middle. The clock would keep running until the ball touches the ground so I’d think kicking out of bounds could have more hang time thus taking another sec or two off the clock.
  8. As long as DTV keeps rolling up the Brinks truck it will stay there. DTV knows without ST, they will be in deep trouble so to date they've paid out-landish fees to keep it. Will that continue, not so sure as ATT seems to be more cost conscious and will be unwilling to pay for something that's not doing well due to cord cutters. And if it does stop, then likely the NFL will look elsewhere. But as long as DTV is offering them more money than anyone else, they will keep ST. Plus it would cost the NFL a huge amount of money to start their own streaming service, best option for the league is to let someone like Yahoo pick it up, but they will then need to outbid DTV to win it. Or simplier might be for DTV to start streaming ST without a DTV subscription. Maybe it's $500 a year, but that's still cheaper than $100 a month for DTV. I will agree with you in that it promotes piracy. But that's not the NFL's problem, that's Direct TV issue. DTV isn't telling the NFL "we diecided not to pay you the full amount this year due to piracy" So the league still gets all their money.
  9. i feel I'm getting my moneys worth because I only paid half price. Will I renew next year at $70, maybe but not so sure? The articles are very well written, sometimes a bit longer than I'd like, (my leg tends to falls asleep when I sit on the toilet too long) But during the off-season not alot of Bills coverage it seems in that respect BN has much more coverage then. But if you just like sports in general, like reading an NBA article something, then much more worthwhile. Good articles, just not a tremendous amount of Bills coverage.
  10. He's basically had no reps with Allen too, so no hurry to bring him back as Sweeney was the man in camp.
  11. My take on Foster is he's a clone of Brown so do we really need two who do the same? I'd rather see McKenzie getting the snaps instead as he offers something different than Foster. I also wonder if Foster may be somewhat of a head case in that he needs to highly motivated (kind of what happened last year with him) when they signed Brown he saw his snaps going away so doesn't care as much.
  12. I wonder if they may be some hard feeling on his end and he signs elsewhere? Think if he starts the season looking good and the Bills attempt to extend him during the year, he will sign. But if he plays out his contract, wouldn't be shocked to see he's gone.
  13. What is Zay and the other two supposed to do, follow Brown down the field and jump in front of him to make the catch. If Allen is only throwing to Brown then so it goes. You said he was targeted 5 times and caught two. Were the other three right in his hands and should have been easy catches
  14. Did anyone see or hear what he actually said or did to get the penalty? They never showed anything on the replay about it from what I saw.
  15. Actually the announcers did question it and thought his forward progress was beyond the goal line. But they also thought not enough evidence to overturn either. Kind of surprising to me as usually they give the benefit of the doubt on those types of plays and rule on even the slightest forward progress.
  16. It was kind of weird too, he pulled the ball down, but it almost looked like the ball kind of got stuck on his hip and and as he pulled his arm in in order to ball in the arm kept moving, but the ball was stopped by the hip and it then fell to the ground.
  17. While Allen is credited with both fumbles, really the 2nd one should have been on Morse. To me deflected balls have no blame or praise. Just luck, good for D and bad for O Look at how many passes the Bills deflected, but not one landed close to a teammate that could have grabbed it, think there was one somewhat close. I will credit him with two bad throws one on the int called back due to penalty and one dropped, but that does happen all the time with everyone.
  18. Offensively the Jets played the 4th quarter about the same as the first 3. On the defensive side, Mosely was out. But wil ltake the win.
  19. Bills are undefeated in 2019!
  20. Think I saw 71.X Funny Darnold was around 82, but only had 175 yards vs Allens 254. But guess the two Int's and one pick six drop it way down.
  21. It's also tough to win on the road on the season opener. Next week They go against Giants home opener, but not the same intensity in week 2. Int's off deflection I kind of look at as good luck for Def and bad luck for O Look at how many passes the Bills got a hand on, but maybe only one ever came close to landing where another Bills player could have caught it. Allan had 2 passes that could have been Int's one called back on penalty and another got lucky on, but those things happen all the time to every QB out there over time. All around good game, for the most part, most of his passes were spot on.
  22. The OP was commenting on what's to stop others from doing this. My response was that it's cost him money and if he goes nuts again in NE he'll likely not find teams wanting to sign him next season or if he wasn't probably one of the top 5 talented players in the league he probably wouldn't have had any teams signing him right now or would have been for less money yet. When you become a distraction and aren't a top talent to start with, teams aren't interested, like Kap. And regardless of whether you're a distraction to your teammates or the general public it's still an overall distraction to the team that turns teams off. AB does still have the top talent card to play, but he's probably on about his last live there too.
  23. Correct any player can do that. Along with going from $50 mil down to $15 mil. Will some team give him big $$ next year, not nearly as likely as it was a year ago. Plus he also is/was one of the best players in the league. There may be 5 players in the league who could even come close to pulling off what he just maneuvered through based on talent. Granted totally different reasons behind it, but hows things working out for Kap? So far the Steeler brain trust of Brown and Bell have lost quite a bit of money in the past year, so likely players will think twice before trying it
  24. If you noticed on that Hulu thread you started someone posted that Reddit cracked down on the college games being available, so his thinking is the NFL games are going to be the same and Reddit may not work.

If that is the case and Reddit doesn't work, my backup plan would be to use a VPN app that I have switch to London and watch thru International Gamepass.  You get a 7 day free trial so that would be fine for this weekend.  Next week, would then need to buy it which costs around $180.  I'm fine with spending that amount as long as I'm fairly certain it will work every week, but does make me a bit nervous to spend that amount and it doesn't work in the end.

A couple weeks back I kind of tried it out, tried going to the International Gamepass website, and it told me I wasn't eligible and didn't give me any access , then turned on the VPN to London, tried again and it allowed me access and could have signed up.  So it did seem to be working for me and had my location spoofed.

  25. Someone posted in another thread that Reddit has cracked down on streaming of college games and is assuming may find the same tomorrow for the NFL games. So may be a moot point arguing about legal or not.
