  1. Thought it was cry?? Oh wait, this IS your party so you can party instead of crying. It's your choice!
  2. There was a difference then too in that yes they'd fire the coaching staff, but still had the same GM or a protege of him so the roster stayed more constant, therefore improvement was expected. From the GM's eyes, the players I drafted are great, must be the coach sucks. This time everything turned over so not the quick turn around expectations there either.
  3. I'll be surprised if Munnerlyn IS cut IMO. EJ Gianes likely was on the team if not got hurt. I think the Captain is slotted in as his replacement. The only thing that gets him cut is not being in good enough football shape, but even then may be told work on getting stronger, if we have any secondary injuries, we'll be on the phone to you again.
  4. Read that too. I really doubt he makes any teams 53 unless very short due to injuries, so he can sign with any team to their practice squad. Unless he feels the Bills shafted him, would probably be in his best interest to sign with Buffalo as with the extra spot/exemption, it's highly unlikely Buffalo would cut him. So he's pretty much guaranteed a paycheck and more important a spot all season here. Likely he makes our PS.
  5. Yeah maybe he leads Dallas to a SB win in Elliott's place!! LOL
  6. That' where I am too. 2 weeks ago completely agreed too with what mags stated, now not so sure. There's an entire thread on it, but that still leaves some question. Buffalo rumblings agrees with mrags. We shall see soon as doubt any team would sign him to their 53 unless decimated by injuries.
  7. Hard feeling or not, it's still up to Wade to decide to take an offer for another teams PS over Buffalo, unless the hard feelings are with Wade himself. Then agree, if he truely thinks he deserves to be on the Bills active 53 and they don't make that move, then likely he will go sign with another team eve nfor their PS. But just don't sense that from what he's said publicly, admittedly talk is cheap. I thought that can happen, he can sign with any team for their PS, just once he signs to someones PS another team can't come in and take him even for their active 53. He's is then locked in on that teams PS for the entire season.
  8. You're assuming another team will claim him for their active 53?? The questions you yourself ask likely would also scare other teams away too from active 53. Would other team like him o n their PS, sure, but why would be sign for another teams PS and not Buffalo? Often guys will sign with another team because they feel they were shafted, don't sense that about him if he were to be cut.
  9. Great idea, then we can have 6 TE's competing for 3 spots. I'd be fine for trading either of them, I'd even throw in other names of Yeldon, Lawson or Love, Croom, any of about 4 backup WR even Foster, and one of the lower level guys in the secondary. But I'd be looking for a backup swing tackle. That's a total of about 10 guys I listed competing for around 4 slots so would see if you can get anything rather than cutting the majority of them. Maybe you could get a low 6th or 7th rounder for them. Johnson a 7th rounder is looking damm good right now so better than nothing. And why would a team give up a guy you know is going to be cut, you get exclusive rights to him.
  10. I don't recall hearing much about him back in the 1985 to 1995 era, was he covering the Bills then, was he negative then? Not really certain there were even newspapers and reporters in the BI era. (before internet) And if you go back another 10 years to the before cable era, was there even electricity back then?
  11. And this thread isn't even about the backup, this is about the backup to the backup. We signed the wrong guy, what was Beane thinking. Fire him! Maybe if Allen or Barkley were to get hurt on Friday, two days before the next game, Jackson might get promoted to the 53 for that one week. But the following Monday they'll very likely be looking for someone with experience. Derek Anderson will be on speed dial.
  12. Cause he went to UB, it's like seeing your best friend get fired at work, "Gee maybe we can just work things out"
  13. Maybe by the 2025 draft we can get a 2nd rounder for him!
  14. Probably because you want someone back there who's been doing it for years. It has to be very nerve racking when you can feel players barreling down on you, but you can't even for a second take your eyes off that ball coming towards you. And even if no one near you, one muff can turn an entire game around. He couldn't even cleanly take a hand off. So no thanks! Leave it to those with experience at this sort of thing.
  15. Don't believe that's true initially. After every team make the cuts to 53, at that point every player in the league is eligible to sign to anyone's practice squad that teams and players wish. Once you sign a contract to go onto said teams practice squad, then if another team signs a player off PS, they must put him on the 53. That's why teams somewhat take their time assigning players as they first want to comb thru other teams trash.
  16. Your also comparing a guy who played on a Chicago team that only won 3 games and that was really most of his experience. He also played in 3 games for the Eagles, never as a starter, came in when the starting QB got hurt. Reich played on one of the most dominant teams in the league and for the most part knew ahead that he was starting. Alot of Barkleys experience with the Eagles would be like comparing Reich's Super Bowl appearances in relief which also didn't go very well. Barkley never had a good team around him with the Bears so makes it harder to look good, even decent. Reich was drafted in the 3rd round in an era with less teams in the NFL therefore less picks per round. On top of that he didn't even play all that much in college, total of 18 games over 3 seasons finished with 10 TD's and 7 Int. Not saying Barkley's arm isn't weak, but think you may be over-rating Reich here too by a stretch.
  17. Trade one, and wouldn't be that opposed to it being Lawson as he likely could bring the most in return, maybe a decent swing tackle. Good chance he's not re-signed next year anyway as going to want big $$, and unless he really plays much better than past , may not be worth it.
  18. Could be growing up on a farm in Cal he's somewhat wide eyed and naive about certain things?? Now he's in the big huge city of Buffalo!! But to him it may seem huge which is probably a good thing that it isn't really huge.
  19. Wow he's actually been signed by 11 teams, has played in games for 8 of them.
  20. Swing tackle Assuming they keep Ford at guard which think is the better move. Less worried about center as Feliciano as backup or replacement.
  21. I'd be much less shocked to see Zay traded before he were to get cut. I think the Captain makes the team as he's become Gaines replacement. Think it's his spot to lose possibly by not being able to get up to game speed/shape in time. Same with Shaq, traded, maybe, cut no! Unless they want to either cut Love or keep 5 at DE can see a trade there. Wouldn't be surprised to see one or even two trades this week with surpluses at certain positions like WR, DE, and RB. Maybe Shaq and-or Zay/Foster for a good backup tackle.
  22. I'll almost guarantee after last weeks game, fans of the Colts were talking about how terrible the Bills announcers were too. These pre-season announcers are complete homers for everyone.
  23. I could more see one of the receivers getting traded, possibly even could become Zay if they are looking for a larger return. We have a glut of WR at the 5th thru about 8th spots. The other one could also become trade bait is Foster. Not sure how much of a step up it is from say McKenzie/Ray-Ray to Foster. May be Foster just needs too much motivation all the time to become worth keeping.
  24. After the first Bills series last night was a bit confused listening to the Panthers announcers, was thinking why are they still talking so much about Allen, and not in the best of terms either.
