This does support the argument that those who have posted if Allen's a bust McD and Beane should be fired for wasting a high pick. The rate of success with QB's where ever they are drafted is very low. If it turns out Oliver or Edmunds, or Tre are busts then yes, but faulting a GM for picking a bad QB is silly and just setting the team back years again to start over. There was not a no brainer in the 2017 draft class either. Both Mayfield and Darnold the two drafted highest did also have question marks about them too. I do wonder what has happend to Goff though?

Make the trade for Stephon Diggs
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And hows that compare to what Brown and Beasly are getting? If less, is Diggs really that much better or will you then have those two with the hand out next? Will they then tell the Bills, pay me or trade me. -
The level of quarterbacking in the league...
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could also be players are getting bigger and faster, but CBA is limiting practice more and more. When that happens skill takes over more than execution and the person who suffers the most from lack of execution is the QB. That could be what you're seeing the effect of. -
Buffalo RB Situation
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So which one do you want to cut? The answer can't be none, we'll just add another as the RB group isn't that weak to justify adding another at the expense of another position. The most likely choice would be Yeldon, but he serves a purpose for pass catching, so you better get someone who also is good at catching passes out of the backfield and also a good blocker. As far as Yeldon offering little to nothing as a runner, how do you know that as he has had very few changes. If I were to make any moves or trades, to me the weakest area is at tackle and would look there. But they are also less of them available too that are decent. -
Thinking about it more, maybe I misspoke as really not an attendance thing. It's more a TV sponsor thing as are you going to watch the Miami game on TV on CBS or instead watch the other game on FOX. Though that would be the same argument when they are playing on the road and then there are two completing games. So guess not sure if it's geared towards attendance or TV??

Thought I read it's a voluntary thing. The home team can still enforce it if they choose too. If they feel it will hurt them attendance wise , they can then still black out opposing games. Noticed the past couple of weeks some teams went back to enforcing it, mainly in places where they have trouble selling out.

Early Week 7 Line: Bills -15.5 over Dolphins
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's the problem I have, hard to give 15 points when you're only averaging 18. Agree was against some good defenses, but even against the two worst defenses, it only went up to around 24 pt average. I think they'd have a better chance of covering if late in the game they are up something like 21-3, then it's still a close game, where as if they did score 30, then often you give up some scores in garbage time. -

I'd take the Fish at 15, Bills can't score so far. -
I read the article today about Frazier. One interesting part was how he (and McD and Ron Rivera) all coached in Philly together and part of their philosophy was to keep things simple. Exactly the opposite of Rex and his defense. Rex was supposedly the defensive genius and for a number of years he did look pretty good. Then teams figured him out, so he added some twists, but that when I think he lost it as his system became too complicated for most players to execute.

So you're saying they'll be favored in 6 and the underdog in 3 games? Which ones? I have them favored in 5, Miami twice, Jets, Washington, and Denver and definite dogs against Dallas (assuming they don't go into freefall) and NE. Baltimore and Philly at home and at Cleveland and Pitt, not too certain either way, will likely depend on how both teams are playing between now and then. If the Bills keep winning likely favored in most of them, though could see Philly maybe favored if they keep winning.

Article: Forbes article on Duke Williams
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How'd that work with Williams anyway. He signed a contract back in Jan article stated his salary was a little under $400k. When he got cut and then sent to the practice squad, I assume he made much less, standard PS money. When called up, does he revert back to the original contract, or did the Bills write him a new deal? -
Revisiting Beane's most subtly brilliant move as GM
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be shocked if by year end Ford is moved inside and Bates is the starting RT particularly if Ty keeps getting nicked up. -
Zay Jones traded to Raiders for 5th rounder
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree, but that won't make him any less the whipping boy based on how many negative comments have been posted, particularly since they will no longer have Zay to bash. -

You must not read many posts around here. He should be cut yesterday per many posters. -
Bills need to start scoring more points, in particular in the next couple of games against teams they should beat easily, then will be taken seriously. Think the two best teams in the league are both in the AFC, KC and NE, but after that less really good teams in AFC compared to no one great in NFC, but more real good teams

Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah but with Ford its more blame on the coaching staff for not playing him at guard. Yeldon is the man in a bad sense, even though thought I read he played more snaps i nthe 2nd half than Gore. -

I feel bad for Yeldon. With Zay gone, Yeldon will become the #1 whipping boy around here now. Competition is gone, so much for lying low. -
Injury updates - Morse, Milano, Murphy, Ford
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably hurts alot when he moves in the wrong direction. Just the 3rd quarter! -
Shaq Lawson - maybe a keeper?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree I think if the FO feels OK, we've seen enough of him late last season and up till now, we want him back and made a decent offer now and he wants to be here, then maybe. But likely he'd at least want to test the FA waters to see what he can get elsewhere, the only reason not to remain unsigned is the injury risk. IMO he's the kind of player that if another team signs him to a big contract, they may regret it and realize he's more the product of a great team around him. Having said that I would like him back, but on a modest contract.
