  1. I live in NC and have the same identical style street lights as I had in Rochester, (ones that are meant to look like old fashioned gas lights) except up there they were close enough together that as you walked from one to the next, you could still always see some light from them. Down here a little further apart to the point, you have dark zones between them.
  2. Meant that in a jokingly way as not sure they have much of any laws in Az or in the south. But don't pay much in taxes either, so you get what you pay for as they say.
  3. Probably didn't matter much in Oakland as they are just going to run "old school smash mouth football" (stated in my best Gruden voice)
  4. Sounds like WGR and Schoop are doing a great job! Look at the long post you just wrote about their lack of understanding, and people have replied to your post too. You're doing a great job of promoting them, keep it up and they may send you a nice X-Mas gift!
  5. Been using Reddit last couple of years now every week. For the most part a very stable site
  6. Not taking anything away from these guys, but I think Johnson could slip through. You have to remember, every other team in the league likely also has players that they hope can slip through. Conversely, there are likely some players on other teams the Bills are watching and would probably jump on them for the Bills PS if cut by their respective teams
  7. Do they actually serve it in a can? I'd think you could throw a 24 oz can much further than a ***** and would hurt more. Damm can't believe my word was censored out. Well I was referring to something thrown into the end zone a couple seasons back.
  8. I'd be OK with that too, give him these next two games to dazzle, if not then yeah trade him. Probably Zay has more trade value too. Seems like the Bills have 3 to 4 WR all about the same abilities of eachother, none probably have quite the potential of Zay, but so far far he hasn't quite been able to fulfill it. So if Zay were gone, would allow 2 of these others to make roster. Likely be some drop off in talent overall, but not huge. IMO there's maybe 4 players on the Bills roster that you could trade who have some value, but at the same time, enough other quality depth that wouldn't see much drop off to Buffalo. They are Zay, Lawson, Shady, Croom, and maybe one of these O-lineman we signed this off season who's not going to make the roster this year due to more overall talent. I doubt losing any of these guys would be much of a negative impact to the Bills this coming season.
  9. Could see him being trade bait. Seems like his issue is motivation, likely getting traded would again shake him up and he'd have a great year. Maybe team needs to leak to press he's in danger of being cut, then see how he reacts next two weeks.
  10. I have no idea if you have kids, but I'll promise you one thing if you do, they don't think you were as cool as you thought you were either!
  11. Why?? Williams was a nice story, people got all excited over him. But reality is once training camp started and he's going up against other NFL caliper players, it shows why he has been in the CFL. There appears to be other more talented options on the Bills roster. Granted he had many off field and maturity issues going on that may have contributed to him not being in the league. But guys like Dez Byrant or even E Elliott (Hmmm....pattern here) are/were in the league for a reason. They had the talent so you over looked the nonsense part of their lives and put up with them. Guys with the talent level of Duke Williams instead got cut. Maybe in the pre-season games his talent will shine through, but will be somewhat surprised if he even gets much chance other than game #4
  12. If you were 80 years old and worth billions, you'd be doing the same stupid stuff!
  13. We already have one , Spencer Long with two good hands, no ligament damage
  14. Actually I think it was the assistant equipment manager who heard it from the janitor who told him.
  15. Damm if only I had an arm like Allen!
  16. Can't live with them, can't live without them!
  17. I agree I wouldn't pay him either mainly due to all the off field issues the guy has had. But the other side of it is he's a big part of the offense, without him, my guess is Dak will look very 2nd rate. Puts the Cowgirls in a tough spot. In San Diego Rivers will be fine without Gorden, better with him and Super Bowl contender with him, but they'll still be OK without. Dallas will likely go down the tubes without Elliott and Jason Garrett may as well start packing up his office now. Have a good one!
  18. OK if the standard NFL contract allows a person not to play, then agree not breach. Well from what I read of the original posts (which by now don't even recall the exact thing,) you were stating that based on simple contract law the player signed the contract so he needs to honor it. And my point is contract law and the NFL don't go together. Do I like it no, but have learned to accept it. Admittedly it is a sticky slope with non guaranteed contracts that allow the player to be cut anytime and the average career only being around 3 seasons.
  19. Sure sounds like breach of contract IF and a big if it's a cut and dry as you're arguing. I'm not an attorney either, but the one thing I do know based on observation over the past 10, 20, 30 years. Contract law and sports teams; don't try and talk about the two of them together. It a different world. Yes I get it, the player doesn't get paid. In this same conversation I heard on the radio about the fines disappearing, they also commented how it's much different for the player to not show up week 1 and miss a game check. That's where the rubber tends to meet the road. Kind of funny you mention player losing a year of service. That's always been a pet peeve of mine. The player sits out until I believe it's around week 10 or 12, then shows up completely out of game shape and useless to the team for the remainder of the year. But the team has no leverage other than to cut him. I'd like to see the next CBA if the player doesn't report week one, he loses the year of service, or after week 1, the team can tell the player, "it's nice that you now want to report, don't bother, we'll see you next summer" If the team is in a playoff race, they may take him, if not let him sit, but still own his rights. Highly unlikely this will ever happen, but would love to see something along those lines.
  20. So then explain to me why these guys are holding out then since sounds like they don't have a leg to stand on. It's applicable until the second the player holds out. Why doesn't their respective teams sue all these hold outs for breach of contract if it were so cut and dry as you seem to state? They were even talking last week on ESPN. So the one small piece of leverage the teams have is to fine the players for holding out. From what they said on the radio and these are ex players talking, the fines mysteriously disappear once the player comes back to camp.
  21. Contract law doesn't apply in sports. Sure in theory it does, but reality is something else!
  22. Agree give some of these others a shot first. I think you want the best 9 on the roster and let positions sort themselves out. Really can't see them trading for a backup unless it's a very low level trade like a Duke Williams type of guy who isn't likely to make the roster anyway for a backup tackle. May pick up a FA now, but would be surprised at a trade other than low level. Likely there will be better options available come roster cut down day, than using resources on a trade now.
  23. Lets see how many miss the 3rd pre-season game first. I think many of these are training camp injuries. If this were regular season, they'd sit out most of the mid week practices, come back Thursday limited and be ready to go on Sunday. If any do become an extended thing and it's someone they do like, could see them IR'ing him to hide him without cutting him.
