  1. Yes see above post, especially since their season has cratered without him and Jackson was carrying an injury ravaged team to the best record in the conference through the first 2/3rd of the season.
  2. Jackson was carrying the Ravens and they were 8-3 with him healthy which shows he was not only an MVP candidate but top QB in the conference. And he did most of this with him arm this year vs being a 'running QB'. Obviously if Allen got hurt the Bills would also be in a world of trouble but the league obviously feels he's not the main reason the team is any good especially with the #1 overall ranked defense.
  3. Where am I wrong? He didn't make the probowl which I know is not everything but a guy handed $250 million contract should definitely be in the top 3 of the conference and outside of biased fans the people that matter understood he's not a top QB in the conference. Also go examine the key metrics for yourself in terms of his completion percentage, QB rating, INT, etc all worse than 2020: https://www.nfl.com/players/josh-allen-4/ Again, the crux of my argument is simply that Beane should have waited to resign/extend him not that Allen sucks or something because he doesn't.
  4. Go look at his YOY production from 2020 to 2021 and the facts will tell you otherwise. Again, it doesn't mean he's a bad QB and I'm not saying that. But he's not worth $250 million thus far and the smarter move would have been to wait like the Ravens and Browns did.
  5. No I deal in facts my friend, despite the rampant homerism here and in Bills mafia's heads in general there's a reason why Allen wasn't voted to the probowl this year and that reason was pretty much on full display against a terrible Falcons team and defense. Josh is a good QB, that's not the issue. But there's nothing about at this point in time that says he's truly elite and worth being the highest paid QB in the NFL especially with such woeful inconsistency coming off a great game in NE and then having one of the worst of his career at home against a pathetic team and defense. To be elite you have to play at that level consistently. Not have a few great games sandwiched between multiple clunkers or just average outings over the course of 16+ game campaign. Now if he has a season like 2020 or better next year, or better yet delivers a SB appearance/win this year then obviously myself and other critics are dead wrong but until then the fact say he's simply that not the guy some fans want to believe he is. But then again there are very few of them in this league to begin with outside of Brady/Mahomes/Rogers/etc.
  6. Raiders is the easy choice although I would still be concerned facing them because they are much better on the road and playing with heavy hearts given all the in season turmoil they've dealt with and now have Madden's legacy to play for. As for the other two, we already know how tough it's going to be facing the Patriots again for a 3rd time and Belichik in the playoffs. They are also 6-1 on the road this year (possibly 7-1 if they win in Miami). Colts are still the worst possible matchup IMO and while I don't think a rematch will be anything like the first meeting in terms of how lopsided the margin of victory, it's important to remember that we only beat them last year in the playoffs because of Allen having one of the best games of his career and certainly his best playoff performance and still could have lost in the final minutes if not for a fortunate call that went our way.
  7. Both the Ravens and Browns were prudent and not rushing to extend Jackson/Mayfield respectively. In the Browns case it's starting to look like they will need to begin the elusive search for a franchise QB again. The ravens obviously probably resign Jackson long term once both sides agree to what makes sense and he was having a borderline MVP year before getting hurt IMO. I still think the Bills made a mistake in resigning Allen so quickly because they could have had him much cheaper based on this year's regression and current production.
  8. If the Bills do play the Pats in the first round conspiracy theorists are going to be on edge because obviously if the league truly wants a Pats/Bucs SB matchup then our season obviously ends in a few weeks and we'll be one and done. But for more practical purposes I'd rather not face Belichik in the playoffs given his resume and the Pats always seem to play better in Buffalo as evidenced this year and even last year when they could have easily won if not for the Newton fumble in the closing minutes of the game.
  9. One thing that's not being talked about enough is how Daboll and McDermott essentially shifted the entire game plan in the 2nd half yesterday after Allen's 3rd turnover. The committed to the run and luckily it worked. But it was almost a way of benching Allen so to speak but not letting him put the ball in the air and risk blowing such a crucial game. Will be interesting to see what Allen looks like this week against a feisty jets team looking to play spoiler and playing their best football of the season.
  10. Even if Bates isn't the long term answer I think it's pretty clear Feliciano's day as a Bill are numbered.
  11. Bills are going to have a chance to exorcise a lot of demons in true gauntlet fashion in a few weeks. If they do make a deep run it's going to be earned given the potential list of opponents they may have to run through starting with the Patriots and Belichink in a playoff game, then possibly going back to TEN with Henry returning in round two.
  12. It's not even about the Titans, even with still losing that game had the Bills taken care of business against the Steelers and Jaguars they are still sitting in the #1 seed right now and in control of that destiny. The Jags game is the true killer though because they'd be guaranteed #2 at worse right now by not losing to what is clearly the worst team in the league this year.
  13. This team is indeed playing russian roulette every time he takes off and there were a few hits yesterday that could have caused a turnover and/or got him really hurt. If anybody has payed attention to Cam Newton career trajectory, Allen is only going to have another 3 years or so left before he begins a steep decline unless a shift is forced in terms of him being a true passer like 2020.
  14. Other than the premier Joe Buck/Aikman team, fox NFL broadcast seem to suck for the most part.
  15. Despite the win yesterday there should definitely be concerns with Allen having one of the worse games of his career at home against a lessor team after putting together such a dominant performance the week before. It seems like he still tries to hard to play hero ball at times and that has been a big part of why this team has been so inconsistent this year. I also worry about him getting hurt or turning the ball over every time he takes off and there were a few plays yesterday that could have been a disaster with the type of hits he absorbed. Bottom line there is zero chance this team will advance far in the playoffs unless he plays smarter and still would like less running, at least the designed run stuff.
  16. I think if you look at Allen's career as a whole, he's been one of those QB's that's actually been better on the road than at home. So whether it's the weather, anxiety playing in front of Bills mafia, etc that's obviously not what you would like to see 4 years into his career and to truly be an elite, perenial pro bowl QB he's going to have to start playing much better at home and consistent overall instead of following up elite performances with absolute clunkers which seems to have been very consistent so far in his career.
  17. I'm going to be worried no matter who this team faces in the playoffs because of the inconsistency with coaching, Allen, etc. And speaking of Allen, if he plays like he did yesterday there's very little chance we are advancing past the first playoff game regardless of the opponent. But Belichik and the Pats would definitely feast off 3 INT's and are a much better team than the Falcons obviously.
  18. Have said all along he needed to be RB1 and get 75 % + off the carriers each week but at least that's happening now and no coincidence this team has found a winning formula again.
  19. I'm not sure I'd call it a confidence booster, but still says a lot that this team was able to pivot from Allen probably having his worst game of the season to having a big day on the ground and still being able win by 2 scores. But speaking of Allen, he still needs to find better consistency and I worried that after such a big day in NE last week something like this was going to happen. And against a better team we probably do lose and lose decisively. This is why it's going to be a big test in the playoffs because the way this team is built they need Allen to be at the level he was in NE (or very close to it) to be able to make a run especially facing the prospect of being on the road the rest of the way after the first playoff game.
  20. Don't sleep on Eli Ankou playing a much bigger role with this team next year even if they sign a big name FA or draft a DT early.
  21. I don't want to turn this into something it's not, obviously Diggs is a great player but if you look at Diggs first two seasons in the NFL compared to Jefferson it's not even close. Even when you stack up Diggs career year this season + 2021 so far, Jefferson still appears to be the better guy. Jefferson looks like a future HOF through 2 NFL seasons with 1400+ yards in each with a QB throwing the ball to him that many don't even think is franchise caliber. That's truly rare company in this league when you look at some of the all time greats. He's also 6 years younger which I made a mistake on.
  22. I really don't understand why you and some others here keep touting these unfounded conspiracy theories. I have never posted on this forum before or any Bills forum until I joined this one last year, mostly just lurked and I barely have time to participate here let alone apparently create multiple aliases? Good grief man! lol
  23. The dome talk is great theory but I hope folks realize that even if ground was broken tomorrow you are looking at a minimum of 3 or 4 years probably before it's ready and prime years of Allen and company career gone. That's why it's imperative to retool in the offseason and build a team that can win consistently in the elements like today even a bad statistical outing from JA17.
  24. Sorry but I'd still rather see him hit on the high picks because that's what usually matters. At least Groot showed signs of life today with the SS fumble after weeks of being dormant. Really need one of these young guys to emerge in the playoffs if this team truly fancies a SB run.
  25. I don't think his arm is nearly as week as some think. Either way it will be interesting to see what the Dolphins do at QB in the offseason because on one hand Tua played very well for the most part after coming back from injury and has shown growth from last year. But at the same time you wonder if it becomes an arms race knowing that a guy like Allen is likely going to be around in the same division for the next 10+ years so Miami needs to do some hard soul searching in terms of whether or not they believe Tua is capable of playing at the same type of level or even close to it. You are a strange individual man, and I was posting here last week just not much because of the holiday stuff going on. Anyways happy new year to you Teef and looks like the Bills will be playing some meaningful football in the coming weeks which is all that matters.
