  1. LOL this chart means as much as it did having the Bills as the vegas SB favorites up until a few weeks ago.
  2. Here's an honest question that's been discussed recently by some of the local bills media on podcast, where would this team be right now if Beane hadn't drafted Josh Allen? The answer is obviously the difference why this current regime is no different than Whaley/Ryan/Marrone, Nix/Gailey, etc. You take away one obvious hit, and Beane's drafts have been terrible and outside of the 2017 playoffs to end the drought without Allen on a team still mostly comprised of remnants of the previous regime we are probably sitting here talking about 4 straight seasons again without them next month.
  3. Look at the play last week that set up the Bucs for the game winning touchdown as a perfect example. Again, why reward a bad defense/DB for getting beat on a 50 yard TD? It makes zero sense and league owners will never approve such a rule. What does need to happen though is making PI a reviewable challenge again or they is going to continue to be lopsided officiating and it will give credence to conspiracy theories when certain teams get all the flags and others do not like the Bills/Bucs game.
  4. The Bills will certainly find some room in the offseason and can get out of some recent bad deals quickly (i.e. Feliciano, Williams, etc). But anybody that thinks Beane is going to spend big money in the offseason (unless it's former Panther players he's familiar with) is probably setting themself up for major disappointment unless the Pegula's tell him that they need to go all in on 2022 or he's fired.
  5. McDermott has lost to some pretty ***** one and done coaches including Meyer and Freddie Kitchens. Like I've said for some time, this guy is not going to be here if/when the Bills do make it to and win a SB with Allen.
  6. This wouldn't make sense because it would be exploited by teams every time a guy beats a DB and is position to score a 20+ yard long TD. The defense would simply take the 15 yards everytime and you'd see a ton more flags each games.
  7. Probably no one. But again, I understand McD isn't going anywhere after this season even if the Bills lose out and look terrible the rest of the way. Unless McD himself steps down he's obviously not getting fired after this season. What I've been saying all along is that after 2022 the Pegulas have to make that decision assuming this regime doesn't get to a SB and win one next year.
  8. And they didn't get the ball in the endzone because they aren't a good team. Most were willing to write off the Titans game as a fluke and bad luck but in hindsight it foreshadowed exactly who this team is and it's not a coincidence this team is 3-5 since winning their SB against the Chiefs.
  9. Apparently with this team there is according to some fans and media that refuse to acknowledge the obvious.
  10. Yet they went on to a SB and win one with a different coach who was also fired a few years later. The NFL is a results driven business and while it's easy to have a certain degree of loyalty to a HC that has been to the playoffs in 3 of 5 years here (possibly a 4th yet) you have a finite window now that a franchise QB has been given a huge contract to win it all. And this is exactly why the Pegula's can't have blind loyalty to this regime beyond 2022 if they prove they aren't good enough to take this team to the next level especially with the GOAT coaching in the same division.
  11. The question though is do the Pegula's understand this despite the extension? Because even if Beane does he's not firing the guy who brought him to Buffalo in a package type of deal. Like I've said for some time now, Allen very well may be the QB that ultimately leads this team to the promised land but it will be under a different GM/HC.
  12. Then what exactly is removing him from the WOF/HOF as the original post suggested? If that's the not the textbook definition of 'canceling' him not sure what is.
  13. The bigger question is why they still insist on giving Addison and Hughes so much playing time still at this point of the season when it's clear they are washed, especially Hughes who has been a massive disappointment. What does he have this year 1 sack??
  14. The bottom line is you are what your record says you are. Good teams find ways to win no matter what and bad teams will always lose in the end. After 13 games there simply is no debate who the 2021 Bills are anymore.
  15. I'll never understand this debate, even if OJ was found guilty of murder why cancel him for what he did on the football field many years previous to that event? Dude is/was one of the best players in Bills/NFL history and he was found not guilty which matters in this world.
  16. If Beane is smart (he's obviously not) he'd trade Edmunds this offseason to a team that runs a 3-4 that understands he's a better fit there and can truly unlock whatever potential is being held back in Buffalo. Probably could get as high as a conditional 3rd rounder that could turn into a 2nd rounder in return. Either way the debate is settled once and for all about who he is in Buffalo at MLB in this style defense and that's definitely not a guy worth the type of money that he can probably get on the open market after the 5th year option.
  17. For the fans that have watched every game in intimate detail, do you really believe this is the best defense in the NFL after watching them get run over multiple times and getting lit up by QB's? The overall numbers are padded because of the games against poor QB's, specifically earlier in the season. As for the offense, that's pretty in line with where this team is but also misleading because of how one dimensional they are and Allen accounting for a big chunk of the rushing yards this year.
  18. Im being 100% serious but despite the fact most fans and media understand this, I can almost guarantee that this regime will resign him. Why? Because that's how clueless Beane is and he refuses to believe that he has made bad choices and draft picks. Just wait until he's signed to a record contract or we here in the offseason from Beane and McDermott about 'how young he still is'.
  19. In 2019 this team was 10-6 and got lit up by every good team/QB they played including the Texans in the playoffs. This year is pretty much following a similar pattern and yet despite all the glowing statistics this team is now fighting to even make the playoffs this year. Yes this team has done a lot worse in the past, but 5 seasons is a large enough body of work to understand that this scheme just isn't good enough whether it's insisting on rotating 10+ linemen, not blitzing enough, vanilla coverage, etc this defense has proven they aren't good enough.
  20. Not sure about a home run but he's been a lot better than most of his picks. But again what faith should we have in a coaching staff that insists on giving specific players more time on the field that guys are flat out better? In this case I still see Sanders getting more snaps if/when he's healthy.
  21. It means that Belichik will go out of his way to coach circles around McDermott and win the game decisively. It's what he's done for 20+ years especially when there has been perceived bulletin board type material by opposing coaches and players or you haven't been playing close enough attention.
  22. One thing that a lot of fans don't seem to be considering is cap space. Beane has essentially created his own cap jail mess that he blamed the previous regime for and while some deals he can get out off and create space quickly (Feliano, Williams, etc) it's not like we are going to have tons of money to throw around in the spring to address all the gaping holes on the roster, specifically remaking the entire defensive/offensive lines.
  23. I did consider that team and the original 'Tampa 2' Bucs from 2002, but yes those teams at least had some beasts sprinkled in with the smallish types like Warren Sapp on that SB Bucs team. I guess the overall point is rarely have those type of defenses been truly dominant especially without a powerhouse offense leading the way.
  24. As others have surely mentioned, the big difference with those Giants teams was their dominant dline. Bills have nothing close to that and going to have blitz like crazy going forward like they did against the Bucs in the 2nd to have a chance to create consistent pressure going forward.
  25. I know McDermott isn't going to get fired even if this team loses out and looks bad in every game left, but at the very least you have to wonder if he understands he's going to be a true crossroads in his NFL HC career and knows that pretty much his entire coaching staff has to be overhauled heading into 2022. And while I'm not as down on Frazier as I am Daboll, just not sure how this organization can move forward with the same defensive scheme that has failed miserably against physical teams and good QB's over and over again since 2017 despite having some good 'statisitcal' seasons. You just can't win this league try match up speed and smallish players at the point of attack against physical teams and RB's and not sure there is a defense in the history of the league that has been similarly built and won a SB.
