  1. Agree, it's time to shine on the biggest of stages and prove this team can make a run without Von Miller.
  2. Packers were in a similar boat at one point not long ago and are suddenly peaking at the right time. Not going to be shocked at all when they go into SF/PHI/DAL etc and make a historic run to the SB, in fact many pundits predicted a BUF/GB or KC/GB matchup in the big game and that may still yet come to fruition.
  3. Games like this rarely live up to the hype, and I think there's a better chance that the Bills lose in a blowout or vice versa than actually playing an epic game down to the wire. Still very worried regardless because of how shaky this team has been in recent weeks against lessor teams and letting them hang around by turning the ball over, defensive lapses, etc. All this late vegas line movement is definitely a concern though...
  4. No you are not, and if anything it shows the gap this team has with some of these other in terms of 'perceived talent' vs. 'actual talent'. This is why JA17 should still get serious consideration for MVP especially if he leads the team to victory tonight over a red hot Bengals team and defending conference champion. You game him out of the equation and this is probably a 5 or 6 win team right now and there's a reason why Keenam has looked terrible when he's been in the game with the same players, specifically oline and skill positions. Beane has serious work to do in the offseason to fix all the gaping holes on this roster and not going to likely have many resources outside of the draft to do so.
  5. I don't like it, have had a bad feeling and lots of anxiety about this game the last few days. Really hope the Bills understand what's truly at stake tonight and play their best (and first complete game) of the year because they won't stand much of a chance if they don't.
  6. I think they have especially guys like Garrett Wilson who were chirping loudly about the great Mike White and after looking as bad or worse than Wilson yesterday reality came crashing to earth. Also the Dolphins have at least been competitive the last few weeks including the Bills game and were a few plays away in each game from winning where the Jets have gotten curb stomped by the Jags and Seahawks.
  7. I've never said the Jets were going to be elite and have called them frauds all along which my posting backs up. Yes I bought into the Dolphins hype train this year but they obviously aren't ready quite yet given their current 5 game skid, but again they win Sunday against the Jets at home and their in without needing any other help and then it's a new ball game and nothing matters including their current funk. I think next year the Dolphins will take the next step though and win the division.
  8. How can any rational fan say this when we were trailing by 8 points against them late in the 4th quarter just a few weeks ago? Yes they are not quite the contender that some pundits and fans (like myself) thought, but they are still a damn good team with a talent roster and QB whose top 5 when healthy. Don't care what anybody says but I want no part of them in the playoffs and if anything they might do us a favor and go into KC or CIN and beat them depending on seeding.
  9. Still think this division will be brutal next year. Dolphins are a team on the rise with a roster oozing with talent despite their current funk and still think they beat the jets next week and get into the tourney anyway. Patriots have a lot of cap space next year and will no doubt correct one of their biggest mistakes (not having a real OC for Mac Jones). Jets are the true wild card because they have a lot of young talent as well but coaching seems to be an issue still and the big question mark at QB of course. As for Bills, this is why this year is still so critical to get over the hump and try and win a championship because while I think the team will still be fine next year by default because of JA17, they are likely going to be a worse roster overall because of the pending cap situation.
  10. I'm happy for Daboll and the Giants since I have a lot of friends and family who are big time fans. Goes to show what great coaching can do for what was believed to be one of the worst rosters in the NFL heading into the season. Also can't believe that we chose to let Hodgins go to keep a guy like McKenzie on this roster. He's probably going to be a star next year while 'Lil Dirty' will be out of the league and lucky to be on a practice squad somewhere.
  11. I'm honestly not surprised by all this chatter from the Bengals and it speaks volumes of their confidence level to put 'bulletin board' material out there ahead of this massive game tonight. We really need to show up and play our A+ game just to have a chance in this one. Bengals are red hot and still think they are the best team in the entire NFL, let alone the AFC right now.
  12. Not sure what to say about the Dolphins at this point but it's shocking they have dropped 5 straight games even with Tua's latest injury situation. But despite that they are still in position to make the playoffs if they can simply beat another free falling Jets team this week and still think they will be very dangerous if they get into the tourney and wouldn't want to see them again especially since they almost beat us just a few weeks ago if not for JA17's late game herorics.
  13. Tua situation is very unfortunate and has essentially derailed the Dolphins season at this point. Hope this kid can get healthy and better prepared in the offseason for the rigors of a 17 week NFL season because the talent is there for the Dolphins to be one of the league's truly elite teams and they were certainly on that path this season.
  14. Said all along the Jets were frauds even when they were sitting at 7-4. And you can make the case that Saleh should be fired after just 2 seasons because of how he's handled the QB situation. Yes Wilson appears to be a bust, but Mike White was never the answer which was proved yet again yesterday. They really needed to play out the string with Wilson and now they are in a tough situation where they probably will they will likely have to cut him instead of getting anything worthwhile in a trade. Some solid young talent in place but no guarantees they'll be a playoff team next year either even if they find another QB in FA/trade which is expected.
  15. I'm not going to dump DTV right away, but what sucks is that I've received sunday ticket free for at least the last 10 years either by playing the annual 'threaten to cancel service' game or in recent years being offered it as a loyalty gift without having to call and haggle. I've actually had pretty good experience with their customer service that a lot of people say is horrible. Going forward I'm sure Youtube will offer some form of new user discount and promotion for having sunday ticket in 2023, but beyond that probably going to be back to paying $400 a year for it like the old days which is the bigger issue unfortunately.
  16. If the Bills win the SB this year I often wonder how most Bills fans would feel about a nightmare dismal type season in 2023 like the Rams are having. Would they eagerly accept that at the expense of a first world championship in Buffalo? I say sign me up, even if the next 5 years+ suck and that's likely going to be the case for the Rams given all the big contracts and draft picks given up in trades. Same reason why Sean McVay will jump ship quickly and 'retire', at least under another promising situation presents itself.
  17. Problem is Beane doesn't have a great track record with either of those positions, especially the former.
  18. He's certainly trending towards massive bust status, but I think he's going to get at least one more chance. If not with the Jets, someone else. People will laugh but I think what has done the most harm to his career (in addition to the pressure of playing in a city and sports market like NYC) was the whole MILF thing right before the season about him sleeping with one of his mother's BFF's. Distractions like that seem funny on the surface but get the sense it caused way more harm than good especially since he got hurt towards the end of camp and missed some crucial practice time.
  19. This just proves the probowl is a joke. Saffold is one of the worst guards in the NFL this year and shouldn't even be a 10th alternate if it went that far. Assuming all the 3rd alternative guys are for the ST position which is fine. Also having Rousseau and Oliver as 4th alternatives is a bit questionable but both have missed time this year with injuries or they'd likely be higher. And for that matter how is Von Miller not on the list based on his play before the injury??
  20. Everyone knows what this team needs to do in the offseason but the big challenge they are going to have is cap space in terms of trying to go after any impactful FA of note. Also does anyone have faith in Beane to be able to adequately address this in the draft given his woeful history with drafting in the trenches? Don't be surprised if this oline is even worse next year especially if Morse is gone which is highly likely given his contract and latest concussion.
  21. I know Bills mafia travels well but would encourage all of them to sit this one out, even if they live in Chicago/Midwest area and are within reasonable driving distance. Stay home and enjoy watching even if stadium is empty like the Covid year. Probably going to be the true definition of an ugly boring game.
  22. I said all along the Jets were frauds and they essentially played their SB against the Bills in the first matchup going 1-5 since that game with the only win coming against the same bad Bears team we are facing tomorrow. Going further they are 2-6 in their last 8 games which includes that Bills SB win. Yes there is some talent there but the media hype around this team has always been ridiculous and no matter who starting QB is wasn't going to change the outcome of any of these games because they have much deeper issues beyond that position and Mike White is still a bum as well, albeit a different kind compared to Wilson. Jags on the other hand are surging and in control of their playoff destiny if they win against the Texans and Titans the next 2 weeks. Going to be a much tougher matchup now for whoever the #5 seed is compared to the Titans which looked like an easy win for whoever ends up in that spot.
  23. Coaching only goes so far when the talent simply isn't there. And even if this team somehow gets to and wins a SB this year, expect oline to be priority #1 in the offseason with what limited resources this team is going to have to address it.
  24. There's a lot of things that concern me with this team but I have a hard time seeing a letdown after 3 straight division wins now against a bad bears team ahead of what looks to be the biggest game of the year on MNF in Cincy. But yes, on the surface this is a classic 'trap game' for sure.
  25. To be honest there's some truth to this post with some of these points. This division is everything (and more) that a lot of pundits felt the AFC West would be this year. And it's still very possible that the current window slams shut after this year which adds to the pressure of getting to and winning a SB right now. Obviously nobody has crystal ball and things could change dramatically between Feb and next fall but have to expect the Dolphins and Jets to improve even further in the offseason. Patriots are a true wildcard because of Belichik's future hanging in the balance. But overall the Bills are in the toughest spot from a cap standpoint and will have a lot of challenges improving the roster and addressing the current holes, let alone preventing a major falloff due to pending FA departures and roster cuts.
