  1. No because he doesn't solve the backup QB issue or any other hole on this roster. Dude is a bum and there's a reason he's going to be cut or traded for virtually nothing...
  2. Giants loading up for a SB run which makes me more confident picking them to come out of the NFC this year.
  3. Good, not a McD fan but he needs to do something to send a message to this soft team knowing the hornets nest they're walking into on MNF against the Jets so they aren't blown of the field by the end of the 1st quarter again.
  4. Not so sure about that. Dolphins were down to their 3rd string rookie QB and still almost beat the Bills in a road playoff game. This is why a lot of pundits see the Bills window as closed because of other AFC teams like the Dolphins rise. Say what you want about McDaniel but something tells me that goofy mofo going to be one of the all time great coaches when it's all said and done.
  5. Most posters here know my stance on the Dolphins, and quite frankly they still might have the best roster in the league even after losing a star player like Ramsey for probably the entire season. With that said I'm still on the fence in terms of picking them to win the division this year because Tua still a big question mark in terms of staying healthy. But if he does they are right up there with the Chiefs and Bengals as the best teams in the league/conference and probably will take the AFCE with little resistance. Tua was on track for an MVP season last year before the injuries and among the top 5 overall QB's in the league. He's not going to wow you like Mahomes or JA17 but he's probably the best pure passer surgical type QB in the league and definitely on a trajectory to be the next Drew Brees. Seems like a good kid and wish him the best despite being on a division rival.
  6. Remember when a lot of talking heads were saying that Lance was going to be the next JA17 and even better in some cases. Just goes to show that all these boom or bust prospects are truly just that, but in Lance case this dude definitely one of the biggest busts of all time considering the circumstances and if not for the 49ers being a serious contender in recent years folks would be out of a job for sure.
  7. These are valid points, but I sense a lot of ya'all are wrong about Burrow just like many Bills fans that wanted to believe (and some probably still do) that JA17 is better than Mahomes. Nothing wrong with being in the top 5 - 10 mix at all and it doesn't preclude JA17 from winning multiple SB's at some point but I can't imagine there are many NFL GM's that would take JA17 over Burrow right now. In fact I'd trade JA17 for either Burrow or Mahomes (probably even a few others) without blinking or thinking twice about it.
  8. I get it but none of the football pundits and talking heads see it that way either. But again, the main reason JA17 has been held back in the playoffs is terrible coaching and horrendous defensive scheme that unlike KC and CIN looks great in the regular season but horrendous in the playoffs. With those two teams it's been the opposite in terms of how their defense performs. Should this team get back to the playoffs this year and anything close to '13 seconds' or AFFCG in KC/Bengals game last year happens you fire McD on the spot if you truly care about having a franchise QB on your team.
  9. Almost starting to wonder if this Jones situation is all part of the 'script' this year for Mahomes to further reach godlike status and win another SB without Jones playing all or most of the season. Either way like I've said before, I'm certainly not upset about this situation and hope Jones sticks to his guns and drags this out well into the regular season.
  10. I've never claimed to be a football genius and 100% right, but unfortunately my last major 'prognostication' was spot on (Bills barely beating Dolphins in playoffs and getting smashed by the Bengals). This is why I'm still hesitant to post my official 2023 predictions because I can't shake the bad feeling about this team even though I really want another to watch another solid campaign that ends with at least another trip to the playoffs.
  11. Sometimes you have to look beyond the numbers and what actually matters. And when I look at Burrow I see a guy that's 4-2 lifetime in the playoffs (2 appearances) including 3-1 on the road in the AFC playoffs. One SB appearance, back to back AFCCG. This isn't by accident. JA17 in comparison is 4-4 (4 appearances) including 0-3 on the road. It's not taking away anything from JA17, I've moved past doubting him and he's definitely a top 5 - 10 NFL QB at worst but I just don't see how you can put him in the same conversation with Mahomes/Burrow until he at least gets to a SB, wins a road playoff game, etc. Obviously the current HC is a major reason why this hasn't happened yet and why the SB will remain elusive as long as he's here.
  12. Nope because they've been to a combined 4 SB's the last 4 years and the consensus top 2 QB's in the league.
  13. Unfortunately I can see JA17 matching or exceeding the turnover numbers this year if he continues to be reckless and reverts to the hero ball stuff. But behind a suspect oline yet again can't really blame him for trying to carry this team on his shoulders. If this team can ever run the ball effectively it would go a long way in terms of cutting down on the mistakes.
  14. Yes and what's the point? This was a pretty accurate statement in hindsight....
  15. Meaningless in the scheme of things, but they've been one of the most consistent organizations in all of pro sports the last 15+ years so I certainly understand his messaging here and why the 24 game streak means a lot to them.
  16. I really don't understand the media fascination with the Bills adding all these big name RB's. Yes there are still a lot of question marks around Cook and this teams ability to run the football consistently as a whole. But I think if Beane were to finally go ' all in' that's going to be to fill one of the current gaping holes with a true difference maker (i.e. MLB).
  17. They certainly carried the load both times Mahomes left a playoff game early (ironically in both SB winning season 19 & 22), but yes the common denominator was Jones wreaking havoc.
  18. At this point hard to argue otherwise, but one of the big reasons the Chiefs have won 2 SB's is that defense always magically transforms from an average type unit in the regular season to elite in the playoffs and Jones is a big reason why. So not having him in the lineup half the season + then needing ramp up time when he does come back certainly opens the door for the Chiefs for stumble a bit and drop a few games they might normally not.
  19. Just like the Dolphins, the Jets could have easily swept the Bills last year. Keep in mind this was with the Zach Wilson/Mike White combination at QB. Even if Rogers is on the downswing and plays similar to last year that's still an upgrade. Also Dalvin Cook had over a 100 yards against this defense and a season high 8.5 yards per carry last year in the Vikings game in Buffalo. More I think about it this game might not even be close and actually surprised by this meager vegas line.
  20. Many experts and media pundits are predicting a similar outcome for the Bills this year, especially those on the Jets/Rogers bandwagon. Also I do agree that they may be able to follow a similar formula and get off to a decent start this year, but that 2nd half schedule is tough to find more than a few wins especially given McD's record on the road/against playoff teams in regular season.
  21. Veach is the best in the business but he's not going to win this game of chicken and will have to blink first if he wants one of the best players in the league back on this roster anytime soon...
  22. If there was ever a remote possibility that Belichik leaves the Patriots organization after this year I think the Pegulas would be foolish not to jump all over it especially if this ends up being a down season in Buffalo or even another trip to the playoffs and early exit. Only real challenge would be how quickly he could dump the current defensive scheme and transition to his style defense especially with the current roster on defense side.
  23. Wasn't this the guy that was literally wrapped in a bubble and kept separate from the rest of the team during the covid year?
  24. Obviously if we lose to the Jets (and decisively) there will be many story lines coming out of the game. I do think similar to the 13 seconds debacle 2 years ago, this team must now shake off the Bengals playoff game loss and refocus heading into the new season. Not many folks picking the Bills to be a legit SB contender anymore so at least the weight of the media pressure is off their shoulders, although it seems like they played a like a team that reads their own press clippings in Pittsburgh.
  25. Torrance looks like a real find but obviously need to see what he does when the games actually matter (and stay healthy which has been a big issue with younger players in recent years). I still think Morse is just average finesse type player and one more concussion away from being done with football period. But getting back to tackle, if Brown is a bust and Dawkins is in a steep decline obviously won't matter how strong your interior is if pressure from edge is an issue and that's how most QB's get seriously injured with the blindside hits vs pocket collapsing in the middle.
