  1. Davis is a strange cat to figure out because at times he's looked like a legit #2 NFL WR in this league, others a fringe type player. But on this particular play I have no issues. At this point though glad he wasn't resigned to a massive extension which many speculated Beane would do before (or during) this season. At this point it's probably a safe bet that he's all but gone after this year and knowing this teams luck he'll sign with someone like the Chiefs on the cheap and finally explode into what we all thought he would be in Buffalo.
  2. Despite the Bills being a regular playoff team in recent years, they've had some pretty absurd losses right up there with the drought years and other infamous follies like Wide Right and Music City Miracle. Every team has bad losses from time to time but it's almost like the Bills go out of their way to defy logic and make sure they are at the top of the list of every inexcusable way to lose on an annual basis.
  3. The more I think about this game, the more I think it a true low point of the season is imminent. Because unless the Jets defense and team has already quit on Saleh, this is the wrong week to expect a miraculous turnaround even if Brady does have a real impact going forward. Could very well be one of those classic 9-6 barn burners with of course the Bills once again on the losing side. But then again the Jets havent scored an offensive TD in 3 weeks, would be fitting if Zack Wilson and their offense magically explodes against this defense.
  4. If you look at the anecdotal evidence from former player statements, musical chairs with coordinators, not taking accountability, etc then the obvious answer is yes. To be honest he's trying to be Bill Belichik but without the 9 SB appearances and 6 rings to back it up. This is why it was a major mistake by the Pegulas from the get go giving this clown so much power and hand picking his own GM. Also on that note, I feel I must remind Bills fans yet again...never forget that it was McDummy's decision to make the trade with the Chiefs and his former boss (who fired him) to land Patrick Mahomes when he was there for the Bills in 2017. Another reason I'm more than eager to show him the door after the season if I'm Terry Pegula.
  5. Allen has always been a turnover machine per se as evidenced by him leading the league since he's been in it. But in the past this wasn't at the forefront because the team was winning games, and in some cases by large margins. Not that this team is an also ran it's a major issue and all the more reason you need a true 'QB whisperer' offensive mind type as the next head coach in Buffalo if there is any real chance of a second super bowl window opening in the next 3 - 5 years.
  6. My conspiracy theory (which I hope is true for specific reasons) is Terry Pegula forced the issue, if anything to send a subtle message to Allen, Beane and McDummy. Because if there was ever time for him to be a meddlesome owner it's now and can't imagine this cat is happy watching a team with one of the highest payrolls in the NFL flounder like this especially after he gave both Beane and McD unwarranted extensions. So if I'm remotely right this will also be why he's likely already exploring replacement options when as the inevitable plays out in this meaningless string of 7 games left in a wasted season.
  7. Bigger picture, this trade/contract will likely go down as the worst in NFL (if not all pro sports) history a few years down the road. But in the short term, that Browns defense is ridiculous good and everything that McD's aren't quite frankly. And I still think they still make the playoffs and possibly win the AFCN as long as Walker or whoever plays QB the rest of the way can do the game manager thing. Coaching matters folks, just look at what the Vikings are also doing despite a serious injury list much longer than the Bills including their starting QB and best WR in NFL.
  8. This is why I also loath these comparisons and continuously shake my head. There's a reason why guys like Tomlin, Harbaugh, Carroll, etc continually get a pass when their teams have struggled, had down years, or made very questionable in game coaching decisions....they are proven commodities that have been to multiple SB's, won them, won road playoff games, etc. etc. McD has done none of these things and you don't get a pass for winning a few division titles because in the grand scheme of things these are the true definition of 'hollow accomplishments' in pro sports and anyone with a clue understands this.
  9. Just like most of these local media and talking heads, all these guys pretty much know they have to sugar coat things in Orchard Park so they don't get blacklisted by the Bills organization (or their own employer for that matter). His partner Matt Bove is a lot more realistic though and doesn't offer these ridiculous homer takes even as this trainwreck continues to get worse.
  10. Bad coaching eventually permeates every corner of your organization and roster. And as I've said many times before this is the end result of not immediately firing McD after the 13 seconds debacle. It's no coincidence that JA17 played the game of his career that day and just like this team as a whole, he's never recovered from that knowing that horrendous coaching and lack of situational awareness cost him a real shot at a superbowl.
  11. I'm still skeptical of Brady because pretty sure most posters on this board could have been the OC at LSU and had similar success with the absurd amount of talent they had there when Brady coached. He wasn't impressive at all when he was OC at Carolina either, but big difference between what he was working with (specifically at QB) compared to current situation in Buffalo.
  12. You're probably right about that part, especially to come to an area like Western NY. But obviously money talks and Josh Allen is still going to be the reason you'll see many coaches lining up and begging for interviews in Buffalo once McD is relieved of his duties compared to the drought years when it was the opposite in terms of trying to attract anyone to coach here.
  13. I'm sure it's been at least mentioned before, but if there was any remote possibility of landing Sean McVay it'd be the perfect fit IMO for several reasons: 1) Proven offensive mind with a solid coaching tree already active in NFL (i.e. Zac Taylor) 2) 2 SB appearances and one championship 3) Aggressive, not afraid to go all in which he and Les Sneed did 2 years ago mortgaging their future to win a championship. Obviously for this to a real option he'd either have to be fired by the Rams or traded since he's currently under long term contract.
  14. I know fans will refuse to give credit to the Dolphins if anything because they are a hated division rival, but even if they truly aren't an elite SB contender this year as long as they hold fort (i.e. beating every team without a winning record and losing to the ones that do) they will only lose 2 more games all year (Cowboys/Ravens also yes I'm factoring in the Bills being a team with a losing record that they'll beat in the season finale). Bigger picture though is where on earth does anyone see the Bills winning more than a single game the rest of the year? Patriots home game probably only other game they'll be favored in aside from this week against Jets.
  15. Probably nothing other than being a mindless lapdog for McD. Anybody expecting this offense to magically look better and stop turning the ball over every other drive is in for a rude awakening against this Jets defense in 6 short days.
  16. For the small minority that still believes McD should be the head coach here next year....I'd love to know your reason for this without citing the previous 17 years before he came here or the lucky 4th down TD by the Bengals that sent the Bills to the playoffs in 2017.
  17. I do because he's one of many former players that have taken a direct shot at the obvious problem in Buffalo you'll see a lot more speak up soon. Mods can merge or put in Dorsey thread but thought it was telling regardless...
  18. Agree 100% but not sure I see Pegulas dumping both which is why I'd gladly just take McD for now and let the rest sort it out later with Beane if necessary.
  19. If you expected this trainwreck (obviously I did) than it eases the blow so to speak. Yes it sucks and disappointing that the season is all but over before the holidays like the drought years, but there is so much more to life than being invested so heavily in a ***** football team and letting crippling anxiety dictate your daily life. And I encourage everyone else to let it go and enjoy the rest of the meaningless string of games. Trust me it will do wonders for your mental and emotional well being.
  20. Yes this franchise really needs to clean house from top to bottom entering a crucial offseason that may very well dictate whether or not a 'second window' opens in the next few years.
  21. Pretty much. As have many former players that have also pointed out the obvious including 'Little Useless' McKenzie. Not a fan but of his but he spelled out exactly why '13 seconds' was the beginning of the end for McD.
  22. Too little too late...and of course the ST coordinator is still here despite the mistake that actually cost this team a game they could have won even though they had no business doing so.
  23. Why is that Teef, because I'm posting and saying the same exact thing I have for years about this failure of a head coach and organization and others are just finally catching up to it? You can only avoid the inevitable for so long......
  24. This team made Mac Jones look like Tom Brady and has already let Wilson have 'career' days against them as well.
